In this video, i'm going to show you step by step installation process in blacking out your 2019-2020 Toyota Rav4 window chrome trims using gloss black vinyl wrap. This is a fairly easy mod and the vinyl wrap costs only $8 plus tax.
I am not affiliated with any of the companies whom the products i used, i purchased them my own from Amazon.

You did a great job, the black and white together look so sweet! I have a silver RAV4 with the blackout. It amazes me when people can't tell the difference of the before and after.

I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to do this myself. I did get a quote from the great guy that does my window tints for only $120. But after watching your video I’m sure I can do it myself and i got the identical Vinyl wrap for just $15. Thanks very much for posting.

Thanks Gerald your video really helped apply this to my black Rav4 which just didn't look right with the chrome in there. One small issue with the very small chrome on the small window - somehow I managed to push in some of the rubber seal just above the chrome. Any suggestions how I can get it back out?

Normally I don’t like white vehicles but that 2-color scheme looks very stylish! Toyota did a good job. Mine is silver & black 😎

I can’t wait till I get my Rav4 Xse I want the prime but they don’t offer it in my state. The first thing I want to do is add tires rims more like off-road rugged look. Also I want to put interior lights in the rav like how Acura tax a spec and type s and bmw and Audi and Mercedes look. Have you thought about that ?

Ca. You do it with out removing seal? That seal is put in factory and removing a d putting back can introduce wind noise

Nice job, looks good. I’ve never liked the flat black door columns, especially on the XSE with the glossy black top. Is it possible to cover these in a glossy black vinyl?

Steve Kuebler thank you! Yes you can definitely put vinyl wrap on those door pillars, it should be easier than wrapping the chrome trims because those columns are pretty flat. I’m planning to put vinyl wrap in those door pillars too in the future.

My interior are already mostly black with blue accent stitching in this XSE trim. There are some silver accents in some areas, but I'm going to leave it as it is for now

Did you re-tint your windows or are those stock?

I didn't put any tint on the window, this is how I got it from the dealer but it may not be stock, dealers sometimes put tint on the car before they put the car on the lot.

Great job man! Do you think you are done with black out project? Not quite. Well, now you need 2 last things. 1) gloss black pillar post cover to match all glossy parts. 10 pieces, $17.00 from China. E-bay. 2) Brand new accessory for 2021 Toyota Rav-4 - OEM Black SS exhaust pipe tips! Very easy to install. MSPR $120.00 but you can find it cheaper from some Toyota dealers. Interested? Let me know. Alfa Alpha hey thanks! I’m going to do something about that matte black pillars, but before that, I have few projects in line that I want to do first, so stay tuned! On the exhaust pipe tips, is it OEM accessories? I don’t see it.... it’s kinda steep tho at $120

@@Otthox Hey man! Yes this is a new OEM 2021 Toyota Rav-4 accessory (does fit 2019 and 2020 models of course). Very nice looking glossy black tips with Toyota logo engraved. Just go to www.toyota.com and start to build a new Rav-4 (any trim I guess). Get to the point to choose accessories. There will be these pipe tips available as an accessory. So you can go to a local dealer and buy it or just before you do that you can call other dealers and buy it cheaper than MSRP. I can give you a phone # of the Toyota dealer who sells OEM Toyota parts for less.

Alfa Alpha ah yes I see it... hmmm let me think about it and thanks for letting me know. My only deterrent now is the price, and not sure how much this would enhance the look of the car. I’m gonna do some other mods now and I’ll come back to this one, thanks for the idea!

Hello, my roof is actually factory paint, not a vinyl wrap... My rav4 model is xse hybrid and all the xse hybrid have dual tone paint with black roof

I just used 3M black electrical tape. Cheaper, easier to install, & matches the black window trim because its semi-gloss!

Yeah I think you need to remove the rubber seal to have a clean look… otherwise even slight imprecision in cutting will show slither of chrome lines

But can’t you not take your car into a car wash now when the brushes come down, i went to go wrap my roof crazy price they told me and said it can’t be washed I’m like whatttt
