Had to eat some humble pie. I've always talked shit about BMW bikes because I didn't like the way they looked. Then, I saw "Mission: Impossible Fallout" and there's the chase scene through Paris and I'm like "damn, I really like that bike Tom Cruise is on! I'll look close and see if I can see the logo"... and damn it all if it's not a BMW. In case you're wondering, my own words taste a little bitter lol. Now I want one!
Cool bike. That's the R nine T Pure, not the regular R nine T. I'd like to see you use a bit wider angle on the camera. You either just see dash or just pavement. Wider angle and better adjustment and I think all would be great.
Like others said, this is pure. I have one of these. Love it, very good bike. Torque for days. My only gripe with it is the suspension on the pure. That's where all that savings coming from imo. Especially the rear one. Bottoms out easily at highway speeds on bumps.
I'm considering getting a used one for daily commute. Which year do you have? I currently have a forty eight and I love the sportster except for how often i fill up the gas tank. Also, when stuck if traffic in summer my legs sweat like i pissed in my pant due to the air cooled engine.
No more or less reliable than most. Basic maintenance is the most important and on the nine T it's stupid easy. The problem with Euro bikes vs Asian ones is the parts IF something breaks. They are of different design and cost more plus, everything is compacted in itself you when something needs changed, you have to take apart a LOT of parts to do so. Oh and I hope you love TORX bolts because there are no Allen bolts on these.
I watched for one minute, as soon as he said "the 'catalana grey' s a real cool BMW color," I stopped. This is the most ridiculous color BMW came up with, ruining the bike. Whoever had the idea to give this color to this otherwise fantastic bike, was smoking something or at least had no taste whatsoever. If BMW made this motorcycle with this color only, I would not have bought one. I guess those who bought the bike with grey tank and fender soon will give it a paint job sooner or later!
