Apologies for my Jeb!-esque Low Energy in this video. Was not feeling well.
This video was recorded exactly 3 months ago. I had replaced the rear rotors, pads, wheel bearings, wheel seals, and changed the differential oil in a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Dually. Got a call the next day about oil leaking out of the rear axle. Checked the differential level and made sure the vent was clear before concluding there was a problem with the wheel seals. I did some research into this type of problem, then came back to it with new seals and some ideas for a modified installation procedure. I recorded this video while carrying that out and shelved it while I waited to see if this solved the problem long-term. Three months later and we still have no leaks or any other issues so far. As always, this video is not advice. This video exists only to document this specific situation and how I handled it. Setup you see here should be identical to 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra dually trucks.
