In this video, I will show you how easy and quick it is to replace the in cabin air filter on a 2015-2020 Ford F-150 truck. The installation is not too difficult but will require some basic hand tools and takes about 10 minutes. Doing the install yourself will save you a lot of money instead of paying a dealer or shop. Thanks for the video. I had the vinegar smell and the dealer was “willing” to change it for me for $80.00. I saved myself $55.00 and did it myself following your video.

As you can see it takes time. The filter alone is almost $40 Canadian. Their price is good considering the work that is involved.

It’s not easy but you’re able to do it without removing any bolts or that upper piece I just changed mine it took a bit of finagling to get the cover back on but it’s possible.

So I cracked the edge of the wood trim in my Platinum when attempting to remove it, despite using a trim removal tool. I aborted removal and switched to changing the filter without removing anything based on your comment and it worked but yes was difficult.

So how is the dealer supposed to stay in business if they don't rip people off? BTW all horizontally mounted cabin air filters with the blower motor mounted below the filter will have downward air flow.
