Def a dream system. can't imagine the "rear effect" drivers will see much usage. There's already so much coming from the rear it seams. Would love to hear that sub.

Yes, amazing system... The Subwoofer.... It's like nothing else I have ever heard, simply amazing. If you ever have a chance to hear one, please do... It will set the standard for what a subwoofer should "sound like"

If I am not mistaken putting in the sound treatment will effect the dynamic resonance of the enclosure for the better of course.

:) Great work guys. I just found water on the back of my speaker magnet in my doors. Pretty depressed. Going to space it into the cabin a little more and install an NVX baffle. Any other tips?

All doors get wet, including brand new vehicles. If the water is excessive, fix the seal.. if it is normal, take a foam baffle and cut the bottom half out, that way your not “enclosing” your speaker, it will reduce the performance of it

Hi there interesting video 👍 Question do you have the formula for me please Can I also use a multimeter for this and set it to resistance and run a sweep 🤔 And than take the highest resistance number ?

How did you attach the subwoofer to the plastic box? The original factory sub was a 6 hole mount with plastic backing behind each screw hole. Once you put a 8 hole sub in you are no longer in the 'extra' plastic behind each screw hole. Just curious how you overcame this since I'm completing the same upgrade in my wife's Expedition

Yes, we try to deaden the enclosures best as possible. Some are usable like this one, others are not

Question, the sealed box volume for that sub is 0.35-0.7 cf. Why add black hole stuff to increase volume?

It’s one of the very few subwoofers from Focal that recommended specs should be used with caution. We find this subwoofer in most applications performs better in a larger enclosure

The only thing that I would do differently that I do on every car that has money in the budget...is ditch factory speaker wires ...run new wires to every door speaker....I know probably won't make big difference...but I'm old and overly anal...but on super high end jobs...just couldn't sleep at night without...other than that ..A1 til top jobs like always

No need to run new wires in the newer vehicles, it’s AC current, so it can pass a lot... on DC current which feeds the amplifiers, of course you need big wite

@@SoundsGoodStereo well it's the whole "that's good enough" thing....its a pain to run wires thru door boots these days...but the really really top customers want pay for every percieved upgrade...I worked at high end home audio shop in 1985...they sold $100 a foot speaker wire back then ....worth it NO...but if you had big money Mac system with 20 grand speakers..it did sound better...and customer happily paid for everything that was BEST...its same customer that I deal with for best of best cars now....selling $2500 component set...then using nice pure copper hooking amp to aftermarket interface using what wire ?that you repin?...cheap copper? CCA 18 awg?..who knows....then into factory wire?.. Or super 1 nice pure copper from amp and run directly to active components.....seems simple...but factory wire with 2 or 3 connections sounds just as good ?
