What a shame we won’t see this platform in North America I think Ford just keeps getting better and better I can’t wait to see what they do with the mk4 RS
Hi Luciano here from Australia. I am thinking in buying one of these chips most likely the GTS Black for my 2018 Mustang Ecoboost Mustang. I would like to know how the chip really performs on the Mustang as I yet to see a video about its performance on the Pony Car. Could you guys make one.
I was about to order racechip for my 2017 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 136 CDTI, but I first I have asked for graphs from dyno runs. I was told on the phone that I cannot get those as directors of the company forbid that, and these are only for internal use. I have explained that I have to see the difference each chip makes in power and torque increase, but sadly I was still told no. I was explained that each car is different and power and torque figures do not matter, as long "driving experience is improved". I don't get, why do you give exact figures for each engine for power and torque increase and then refuse to show dyno graphs. To me this sounds fishy, and your "each racechip is tailored made for each engine using dyno" is load of crap, and most of your tunes are copy paste, with simple generic boost increase.
@@Quagmire925 I had a tdi box on my vw, claimed 45bhp gain, Dyno showed it made 22! My mate had one on his vauxhall , claimed 35 bhp gain , got 18. I wouldn't bother. Purchased a race chip Bluetooth top spec system for my current st! Was 27bhp below the gains listed.! Ecu Remapped it was withing 3bhp of the expected gains
@@mathewwade1415 pretty much all of the research i've done has concluded that a proper ECU remap is the way to go and better than tuning boxes which offer lacklustre gains at best and engine damage at worst.

Great video! I'm wondering, how does suspension stiffness compare to I30N? I know that this estate version doesn't have adaptive dampers, so is it more comparable to i30N in comfort, or in sport?
Thanks Igor! It's actually more comparable to the comfort setting of the i30 N, which, in my opinion, is a very good thing because the i30 is really, really stiff on Sport. I'm always driving mine in custom mode with all settings on sport except for the suspension because it's just too much for the road. And while ours has Eibach springs installed, it wasn't any softer in stock :)

Danke für das Video, ich frage mich nur eins, wurde die Leistung auf Sport oder auf Race in eurem Gerät erzielt?? Auf der Homepage kann man ja sehen, das man zwischen Sport Race und Normal switchen kann mit der App. Daher würde ichgerne wissen, welche Einstellung drin war.
To be honest (as a RaceChip owner) I was expecting better gains than twenty something HP; my Arteon pulls close to 334HP from 280HP standard which has 54HP gains. Perhaps the focus engine is already heavily tuned by Ford. I’d be disappointed to only get the increase shown in the video for the amount paid for the top-spec RaceChip. Ps I LOVE my RaceChip, it was also great when I had one in my BMW 428i 👍

Dominik Lösl I think you’ve missed the point, I’m not arguing, I’m literally saying that I would personally not be happy with that gain, it’s a lot of money for small differences compared to other cars get. That’s it, nothing else, nothing more, RaceChip is a great product; I also understand it’s not their fault if an engine isn’t as responsive to their product. Peace out
This was Mapping 7 or Race on the RaceChip GTS. Measuring 0-100 KM H is not a valid comparison. As it depends a lot on the outside conditions, tyres and the driver. So you always get different results. That's why we measure the 100 - 200 KM/H as it gives a proper proof, because there is no traction lose while speeding.
Hallo, nachdem nun ja für den 2.3 l Ecoboost endlich ein RaceChip erhältlich ist, stellt sich mir die Frage, ob er auch für den Focus RS MK3 (Baujahr 2016 bis 2018) kommt?
Hi, the short answer is, a tune will always void the manufacturers warranty. There's no real way around that expect if the manufacturers themselves offer a performance boost. That's why we're offering our own warranty to avert that risk to some degree. Of course we're also developing all of our products in a way that we can be 100% sure that it doesn't affect reliability and since we're not overwriting the manufacturers ECU in any way, the car's back to stock after uninstalling the product.
Natürlich ist es eine überarbeitete Version im neuen ST und hat bauliche/materielle Unterschiede. War eventuell etwas irreführend formuliert im Video, dafür möchten wir uns entschuldigen. Die Message sollte eben nur sein, dass der ST jetzt auch den größeren 2.3L Motor statt dem 2.0L von Ford bekommen hat, was dem ST sehr zugute kommt.
