Shop for the 2019 Ford Fusion Energi on CarGurus: cargur.us/tx3nY
Ford has announced plans to eliminate sedans from its model lineup, leaving the Mustang as its only non-truck or SUV offering. But before that happens, it's delivering the 2019 Fusion Energi with 25 miles of all-electric range and the Ford CoPilot360 suite of advanced safety features included as standard equipment.
The Energi looks like a regular Fusion, save the small charge-port door on the front fender. This will undoubtedly appeal to some shoppers who don’t like the polarizing looks of other competing EVs. Inside, front and rear space is ample. The trunk is a different story, as the already-small 12-cubic-foot trunk from the standard Fusion shrinks to a nearly unusable 8.2 cubic feet, thanks to the encroaching battery packs.
Ford Sync 3 comes standard and will run Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the 12-speaker Sony audio system fills the cabin nicely. Most notable are the Fusion Energi’s safety features, which include blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, automatic high-beams, and a reversing camera.
Pricing sits at $36,595 for the Titanium trim (the only trim available for the Fusion Energi). There’s only one option-a $1,095 power moonroof-and the destination charge costs $895. For more information on the 2019 Ford Fusion Energi, read Mike’s full review on CarGurus: cargur.us/tx3mZ
