@@withPercy I currently have a 2016 street Bob however I do want to upgrade the only problem is I haven't had too much time to ride this year I am Active duty military currently in VA. But this coming Spring a will slow down for us a little bit so I been thinking about upgrading and the fat Bob for a while has been on my mind.
Nice update Percy.....There is a company that makes a faring for that bike that is suppose to be pretty cool but only one at this point and it’s pretty spendy. I bet you love the 114 the best!
I absolutely love the Fat Bob! One of, if not my absolute favorite Harley Davidson! They are just too expensive for me to justify buying one. 🥺😭. Btw, I’m 52 so I’m definitely not the demographic either

I think I remember you mentioning the seat in your vid. I have agree. I was/am shocked at how comfortable the stock seat is on this bike. I'm going to ride that seat until it's broken down. Between that and the riding triangle, I see no reason to change it up.
@@withPercy I see no reason to change that seat either,that was the first thing i noticed on all the bikes i rode,was the seat. That one was very comfortable
OK big question and honest answer ....is the 15 " windshield blocks the wind off your chest, upper body. i don't care about my head . wind hitting my upper body is tiring me .
Absolutely yes for me. I’m 5’9”. I really didn’t like this shield when I first got the bike. But, after doing 2,500 miles over 6 days riding half way across the country and back, I’ve really learned to appreciate this thing. The 19” would definitely have been too tall for me. I don’t like looking “through” a shield when I ride. The 15” doesn’t obstruct my view, blocks the wind from hitting my chest, and still allows enough wind up top where I don’t feel like I am sitting in a dead pocket. HTH
Being Here Now, with Percy thank you , yeah I’m 5’8 so it should work for me ....I just want that wind force off my chest so I don’t have to grab my handle bars with all my power. It really takes the energy out of me riding 70-80 mph .

Thanks. I just sub'd to your channel and am looking forward to seeing your bike there soon! As for the engine guard... That's the first thing that I put on the bike. The one that I had on my sporty saved me a lot of $$$$ when I got tossed off the bike. I prefer the mustache style engine guards over those old style oval ones. Besides protecting the bike, it also gives you the ability to get a little stretch with your legs on the highway. I would highly recommend the one from HD. I know my dealer gives you the extended warranty on any parts like this that you have put on when you first get your bike. I had them put mine on before I took delivery.

I'm having the HD mustache style engine guard, Pro Beams LEDs front (smoke lens) & Back, Cruise control, Heated Grips, Beat small L&R Saddle bags with red stitching and HD Black slip-ons installed for delivery Wednesday. I got the 2020 Stiletto Red Fat Bob. The folks at Palm Springs HD have been very helpful.

I’ve read in forums where other people about your height said that they had no problems. There’s a Fat Bob group on Facebook where I seem to remember folks over 6’ were posting pictures on a thread to show their seating position. I’m pretty sure that HD makes a forward control kit for the bike. The stock pegs are really “slightly forward”. Enough to where they aren’t mid controls for me.
Hi Percy, I know it's been awhile and you already got the new fairings but what did you do to solve the wind buffeting? I have 19" shield and it's very annoying on the highways. Thanks

Prisons and Hillbilly (Deliverance style?) music are never a good combo. Nice walk through. Very informative and instructive. Sorry the windshield isn't working out. They're tough to match with any rider. Nice addition with the sissy bar. I've a top case on my bike, but my wife hates riding if there's nothing behind her for support.
Ha! I almost made a Deliverance joke when I was talking. Turns out you couldn't hear the music with my mic, but it was pretty funny. I couldn't ride with a sissy bar. I commute every day and have to have something to strap my EDC bag to. I just wish that would make a 21" for the softails. That 14.5" is probably all I need but I like the look of a 21" and they ability to lash up more stuff when I need to.
@@withPercy I know the feeling. My scooter gives me under the seat cargo I need for carrying camera equipment of stuff for teaching a class. Add a topcase and I can carry lots more, plus its a good backrest for a passenger.
I'm sure it would but I really don't like the look of the 19" screen on the bike. I'll be dropping a video next week when I get back from this business trip talking about what I've done to mitigate the problem. Also showing the X-creen spoiler that I put on the 15" screen to change the wind flow.
@@withPercy Love your channel. Did you check adding the spoiler (e.g. X-creen) on top of windscreen and does it help? I'm 6'4'' and I'me still looking for a solution for longer trips
I kinda agree. I've kept the screen off except when going on long trips. I've found the 15" actually does a good job on trips. And, since I commute on my bike during the winter, it's probably going to go on the bike to block the cold wind for a few months.

I took advantage of the buy back program and traded her in for the Fat Bob. It was a tough decision and to be honest, if I had enough garage space I would have kept her. Pulled the seat and some accessories off to sell. Feels like I cheated on her every time I see those sitting on the shelf in the garage.
Being Here Now, with Percy That’s cool man. Well enjoy the new bike! I can’t say anything, I now have a Yamaha as well as the Iron haha! What do you want for the seat? I ended up with a Mustang but may be interested in that Le Pera!
It was easy as could be. They gave me back what I paid (less the taxes) and refunded the prorated unused portion of the paint protection and stuff that I had added. It was all applied directly to the price of the Fat Bob. I could not be happier. And the Fat Bob is a HUGE upgrade over the Iron 1200 that I had. I can’t even describe it.
