The Top 25 anglers battled on the Tennessee River in Knoxville, TN for the Final Day of the 2019 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods.
Yep I’m not the biggest fan of the Bass Pro Tour. I’m just old school and like the 5 fish limit and not every fish over a pound and a half counts. They need to go back to the elites
That intro is truly what we all dream of. I'm working on a great career once I graduate college, and then I'm going to save so much money that one would barely be able to believe. Then comes that dream of owning a bass boat and then comes the grind that I can't wait to endure. I know this means nothing to anyone, but this intro got me emotional thinking about the hopeful prize if I can play my cards right. See you on the big stage. I just want to be the best in the world.
Wheeler is going to go down with the likes of KVD, Rick Clunn, and others as being one of the greats, ever. This year alone his finish here at the Classic, nearly winning it, the General Tires World Champion, and won an MLF event and nearly won others, losing narrowly. What a machine.
He is a hammer no doubt! But the Tennessee boy that lives about an hour from me is right there to! Ott very easily could have a couple other classic wins.
All these guys biggest mistakes is leaving BASS for MLF? I just ask why? Why leave the real deal for a generic league like MLF? Which is gona go down in history and never be forgotten a Bassmaster classic win or a redcrest win? I just dont understand it
@@kyleadams1215 follow the money. In bass, they were just competing for each other’s entry fees, money was leaving that’s why it use to pay 500k for the win and went to 300. I read they are paying less for entries and getting more bonus for big fish.
Best introduction so far !!! Tommy Sanders your enthusiasm is still great after all these years...you deserve a great deal of respect...thank you my freind...I can't imagine the bass masters without you.. ps. God bless you my dear friend
Deefoo in de house!!! Congrats to a hell of a fisherman and what looks like an all around good man and father. When u have faith, anything is possible .🙏🏻😊
@FishinWithFritz not really cause you have to fish em all for win and in. ike would have qualified again for classic with his recent win should just be win and in .
After this last season of live i think B. A.S.S. is better. I dont miss the egos that left. Its the sport of the 5 biggest fish that the average angler like myself can do. Keep it up B.A.S.S.! The current anglers have more class and genuine passion than any group of anglers ive seen.
Ott daid it best yesterday is history tomorrow is a mystery ..these river syatems hard to figure out day to day beceise they change daiily cause the current changes daily ..but if u beeb fishing itball your life u can pretty much tell where they go
I was thinking same thing..here In east tn that can really produce in these rivers..fluke will catch all year long in our rivers ..but spring time it can be deadly!! As well as a jersey bait ..ott Defoe knows the deal ..as soon as I seen him throwing thejerk bait I thought he's onto something there ..!!
We love b.a.s.s an the classic it's the dream an bass put us where we are today but we gonna drop them an go do MLF lol makes no sense if this the dream why leave it
I just don't understand how these guys could walk away from the classic. it is the ultimate win they all said it but decided to go fish for a meaningless trophy
It's not at all meaningless. It's the next stage and chapter in Bass fishing. What's the difference in Ray Scott's dream to better the sport and Boyd Ducketts dream to better the sport??????? Absolutely nothing at all. Anybody that has anything negative to say about mlf is not a true fan of the sport in my honest opinion. They made it better for the anglers and the fish. I can't fault them for any of that. Can't see how you can either
No disrespect to wheeler but he cries on camera saying "its taken him soooooo long to get to fish professionally " dudes like 23 yrs old. Really??? Has he ever had a day job? I mean what bout these guys thats 40-50 yrs old and never won a classic or even an elite event....been doing it longer than wheeler been alive...they ain't crying on their 2nd year as a pro....suck it up buttercup n quit poutin...thousands of hard working blue collar guys wud love to be where ur at but someone's gotta make this world turn so u can "fish" for a living...be thankful for where ur at instead of doing wat I do for a living.
Wheeler would be the winner if it wasn't for Keith Poche's big mouth. There should be rules on that for the Classic. I can see working with friends but not on the Classic.
Watching this as someone who fishes inshore and offshore, I never got the hype of freshwater fishing. Everyone says this intro is amazing and what not but I honestly just feel like someone is trying to hype up youth league sports. Like where's the challenge of the seas? The tides, currents and waves, being miles from help and land. The skill to navigate dangers and still get a fish thats much more difficult to catch.
It’s about unlocking the puzzle of the lake and competing against the rest of the best. Bass fishing isn’t easy at all. Fishing for 5-8 bites in a day is grueling and the reward for doing it consistently and winning is unmatched. I love offshore fishing, but bass fishing is where my heart is. There are guys that feel the same way about chasing redfish. I don’t get it, but they love it and I can’t fault them one but for it.
