Facts. Kobe was the master of “bad” Shots like pull up 22 footers. But when he was on, it was a joy to watch. I still remember when he put 52 on Andre Kirelenko in basically 3 quarters, all with just straight jump shots.
@@AClaiderman I’d much rather watch selfish basketball rather than foul grifting lol. Prime Harden played in the worst rule book era imo, he was allowed to literally lunge into people and make non basketball moves and it was always a foul on the defender, the anti-flop and and initiated contact rules that were added were literally to counter Hardens style of play. I just like basketball. Try to score on me, try to stop me. Not weird loop holes and getting free points despite the defense doing nothing wrong. If your playstyle is getting fouls that are literally only called in the nba, then I do not like your playstyle. That being said, Harden took advantage of a flawed rule book
@@eliyarrows2456 i just hope you understand that it wasnt James' fault he understood the rules better than anyone. He didnt make them change the rules in 2017 to make his leap. He just figured out what was a thing forever
prime harden was good, but never came close to warriors let be real here. steph is way better than harden and nobody on rockets can match klay and draymond at that time
@@invest7303 it was never close. Scoring wasn’t as crazy as it is today at the time, but rockets had a 16 point lead at half time in game 6 and warriors were still the favorites to win. What does that say about how good the rockets were? It wasn’t really close..
prime harden was fugazi for the most part.. his stats are hyperinflated by his FT rate during that time.. It was horrible basketball to watch which is why the NBA made rule changes and ole James aint been never near that good, for that long of a stretch, since.
Harden's already proven that nobody could stop him offensively (scoring & playmaking), i hate when the nba tried to discredit Harden's reputation as a superstar with those bs narratives.
Man growing up watching James harden play was always so much fun to watch as a rockets fan man I hope he wins a ring it still sucks how he left us but I’m happy where the Rockets are at now
Yeah but in Kobe's era the pace was slower so there were less opportunities to score, that said harden is an absolute beast and both are incredibly impressive
Harden is a playoff choker, there’s no denying that, but do yall remember some of those Houston teams he was dragging to the 2nd round and that one that made it to the WCF Game 7 vs the KD Warriors. They had no business being in a game 7
@@ballislife6172the clips would’ve ran through the west if Kawhi decided to suck it up and also if Paul George wasn’t so high on himself and as well as him turning into podcast p mid series
Yeah, folks was too busy hating on Harden to appreciate the greatness we were watching at that time. In my opinion, both of Giannis’s mvps could’ve easily gone to James at that time. He was killing it.
it’s so wrong how shai gets talked about with his free throw attempts. when you watch him play the game you see he’s not a flopper at all. he really doesn’t get to the line that much considering how he’s constantly attacking the basket which naturally generated contact. and of course he loves that pump fake in the mid range. it’s just beautiful fundamental basketball and yet people who don’t watch okc games crafted this narrative that he’s just a foul hunter. it’s not right.
You’re right and Harden prefers playing at a slower pace. Put him in that slow pace era and Harden is destroying the flat footed bigs that couldn’t switch like the bigs in todays league do.
Bro I remembered that day i was rocking with houston, they are the only team that can defeat golden state that year, and it’s all gone after cp got injured on his hamatring again smh
“Foul baiting narrative” is a weird way to say that Harden actively foul baited at a level we have never seen before, so much so that they created rules to stop it. Yeah, he scored a lot and played amazing, but let us not act like he was not foul baiting like crazy.
I hate when people try and bring up guys like Klay Thompson in the same conversation as Harden. He was on Curry’s level offensively for a time. Shame he never won a chip.
Harden should never be put in the same conversation as Klay. Prime Klay was a lockdown defender, plus he could drop 60 without dribbling the whole shot clock like Harden.
He is not disrespected I think everyone knows he is a great player when it comes to regular season games but come playoff time his numbers take a big hit and some people have him as the 3 best sg of all time so no where close to disrespected
Deserves most of the flack he gets, whines to the refs constantly even now, foul bating every game, no defense played whatsoever, puts up these types of numbers in the regular season against non playoff teams just for his fans to whine about him not winning mvp just to top it off with playoff stinkers. One of the most overrated players ever
Taking prime warriors to 7 games is being afraid of playoffs? He solo took the kd and steph warriors closer than even the best version of the cavs could
Prime Harden was a generation scorer, until u needed him to be on when it matters most. U could count on Harden when it comes to generationally choking come playoff time. The dude went from Fear the Beard in the regular season, to literally his fans “Fearing the beard” come playoff time because they knew a 2-11, 10 turnover game was coming when it mattered most💀💀💀
@@Pokepoketpokedon’t flop lmao have you noticed how every player that’s known for their egregious flops is also known for their lack of playoff success? Flopping is a regular season skill, those who rely on it crumble
@@eliyarrows2456really? Do you mean like LeBron? Or do you mean like Draymond? Would it be better if they would’ve set illegal screens instead all day like the warriors?
The craziest thing is old heads will swear Harden lived at the free throw line and that “back in their day” nobody shot free throws not knowing Michael Jordan in his 37ppg season had a worse free throw to point ratio than harden at 27% vs hardens 26%
To be fair, while I'm usually the one to try and "slow down" those who always say Kobe is the best at everything, there are some fair points to be made here. Firstly, I'm not gonna act like Harden was doing something wrong or something that was not impressive, but those free-throw abusing games definitely won't get as much love. But still, secondly, the eras were very very different, and one could argue that Kobe's dead-ball era scoring accomplishments were at least just as impressive as Harden's 2019 ones.
@@McWendeez_McWendeez WTF💀 either you're a LeBron Glaser or a casual KD doesn't even have a 60 point game Carmelo Anthony's never averaged 30 there is no stat in the history of the NBA that says LeBron is better at scoring than Jordan Stop disrespecting the Dead we need to clown this guy he just said Kobecopter
The disrespect mostly comes from the fact that he doesn't play defense. Not can't, but doesn't. Fans just doesn't like players who don't put their full effort to the game.
The difference between shai and harden is harden wa good at foul baiting. Shai just throws his head back and they give him the foul. Hardens was skill, Shai just flops
The reason why harden gets less credit is because as soon as the nba took the foul bating away! His numbers took a noticeable dip and you could see it changed him. + his legacy of how he team swapped and took no accountability also negatively affected my memory of harden.
@@BLUEBASKETBALL22 you gotta realize he was also on the nets with Kevin Durant and kyrie irving he obviously doesn’t need to average 35+ points a game and he was in mvp talks before injury with the nets because of his playmaking
@@ballislife6172The part they all forget; it’s crazy how delusional these people can get when they don’t watch or play ball and when they get all of their information and narratives from skip bay less and Stephen a smith.
