These are some of the best signature moves in NBA history but they get increasingly more iconic as the video goes on! Business Inquiries: mcosh3@gmail.com
prime russ was one of the most fun dudes to watch. dude would be out rebounding bigger players, out hustling, putting the clamps, dropping 50 pt triple doubles, and he drives at the rim with the intent to break the backboard
@@Hawkhunter07 Shame he never developed that skill. Me personally I think Kobe's fade was more pretty, but Jordan's was more iconic. Shouting "Kobe" was more about the degree of difficulty Kobe's shots were known for
@@okdifficultsituation Since Lebron has had players get traded if they don't help him win. He's one of the highest paid players so he can convince a team to trade for better players or he can threaten to leave the team.

In case you're wondering, that iconic Lakers announcer on all the older clips is Chick Hearn, who coined "dribble drive" and "charity stripe" and "tickey tack foul," among others, and didn't miss a broadcast [/simulcast] for almost *40* straight years [3338 games I think]
"The game's in the refrigerator, the door's closed, the light's out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard and the jello's jiggling." - Chick Hearn, Voice of the Lakers I miss him a lot. 😥
why do basketball fans always whine about ''fundamentals'', as if they don't exist in other sports, yet, in other sports no one bothers to mention them. Hitting the backboard is just common sense, there is no special ''basketball IQ'' required for it.
@@MA-ck4wu Basketball is one of the few sports where players dont always optimize for performance but instead care about style. Imagine in Soccer if people took worse penalty shots because the best method was considered un-cool. Shaq could have been the best player in basketball history if he shot 90% from the line, and he could have had an easier time doing so underhanded. He didnt, as do most the league because its just so very un-cool to do.
theres breaking a hoop then theres bringin the bitch down....bruh just wut a fukn legend. Fukn shaquille o'steel? since hes a legend tho gota go with shaquille o'kneel.
Man, why'd you have to bring up DRose. Always breaks my heart to get to thinking of how incredible of a career that dude woulda had if it wasn't for injuries.
@@fewpoundcory yeah, less far from the blcoker so end up just in the blockers hands - that's the ideal play, not swatting the ball 10 rows back cos it looks cool but the other team still has a chance to score
@@Gpacalypse33 Boomers always be saying some shit like this like winning teams don't usually have multiple all-stars on their team. The Heat were a first round exit before LeBron joined them, the Cavs were a lottery team (both times) before he was with them. You're an idiot lol
@@AnonYmouSchris19 It's a jump stop that was generally permitted in Crawford's day. These days they're clamping down on it more. You basically have to land on two feet-if you land one foot after the other they'll usually call it now (unless you started doing it a long time ago, like Kobe, and then they might grandfather you in).
How could you say that after watching a video that features White Chocolate's fake no-look reverse elbow pass? Though less physically impressive, it's slicker and more creative.
I said "Skyhook better be number one. Nothing tops it." and yeah. #1 is Skyhook. Virtually unblocked for the entire time it was used, with like 2 exceptions. What an absolute monster of a move and it's a shame no one has ever had the dexterity, height, and finesse to pull that off again. Don't think anyone ever will honestly. I'm shocked Vince Carter wasn't on here to be brutally honest, or maybe he was and I didn't notice. Always nice to see Rock the Cradle being pulled off so beautifully though. What an insane dunk that is. Executed to absolute perfection here. Amazing. Dream Shake is always a joy to see as well, Hakeem was a beast, so fucking quick for his size. Insane stuff seriously.
When I was 11,i was already almost 6 feet tall, and i had perfected all the big man moves. Dream shake, sky hook, Jordan's fadeaway over smaller guards, and Duncan's bank shot from absurd angles. I was unstoppable in the school gym. And then I stopped growing.
I would say what's also iconic about Michael Jordan is his regular jumpshot, as he jumps very high compared to other players. Also, his acrobatic layups. Dwade also has lots of acrobatic layups, plus he used to be nicknamed the flash for his crossovers. Shaw kemp could have included for his powerful dunks. Jokic - soccer through passes into open spaces. Tmac backboard self-alley-op dunk. Mutombo finger wag. Jason Kidd's free throw kiss. I feel like this video will need a second part.
Dirk Nowitzsky's shooting brilliance is underappreciated. Mostly because Steph Curry came along and overshadowed him, but in Dirk's time he was the purest.
@@skrrtzo1707 ur delusional smh. The power behind those dunks would literally break a casual citizen like urself if u were to attempt it. Not only that he hooks it around as well n hook dunks are never easy
Couple things I would add: -Bill Russel chase down block -Mutumbo finger wag -Dominique windmill jam -Jordan double clutch layup -Stockton to Malone touchdown pass
For me from all those the absolute most iconic ones are Kareem, Dream, Dirk and J-Crossover. Those are real signature moves that you cannot disconnect from their creator.
idk why NBA players fall for that fake, like what will they shove the ball to your face? It's obvious that's a fake but there's so many players who are still falling for that when Kyrie is doing it rn
i love the fadeaway and sky hook, they're almost literally impossible to block unless your opponent is like 2 feet taller than you, it's just so hard to train TvT
@@Don69Muk It's a euro-step done by Giannis since he's Greek. A gyro (typically lamb or lamb/beef Greek food) is pronounced "yiro" in Greek. Edited because the Greek pronunciation is slightly different than I thought.
@@Don69Muk You mean "violate" and no because it's still 2 steps. By the way I changed my first comment because someone who was Greek corrected me and the pronunciation of Gyro in Greek.
basketball isn't even my favorite of the sports i follow, but lebron's chase down game 7 block is my favorite sports play of all time, that was so crazy to watch live
He just came out of nowhere. It's fun going back and watching the replay to see that LeBron saw it coming and just honed in on it, like a heat seeking missile!
You finished it with the Jordan fade to the Kareem sky hook! Nice. Only thing missing was Dr. J reversing under the basket, but I'll take the cradle dunk any day. Shaq's iconic move is the drop-step, and I may have missed it, but I didn't see LeBron's side tomahawk dunk. Well done.
@@tedjakes8499 he is in the conversation for sure, but I’ve never seen anyone pull of crawford’s signature behind the back into a euro step. Coolest move IMO
@@tedjakes8499 Kyrie is sick with it, but he overdribbles more than anyone else. With him its more of a wear the defender down, he doesn't quite have the same one-move and its over ability that guys like Crawford, Iverson, and Tim Hardaway had
If I think off the top of my head, some other signature moves that could be added to the list is: the kyrie split double team, Michael Jordan’s open leg layup, lebron or Jokic cross court pass, D Rose hop step floater, Kevin Love full court pass. I really liked this video man signature moves are so cool and add uniqueness to the game 🔥
There’s that Isaiah Thomas hip swivel move, Kyrie up and under layup, Westbrook super aggressive dunk, curry slide, kawhi taking the ball out of someone’s hands, curry’s high floater, Penny hardaway spin step back, Blake griffin putback dunks
Brons signature LeFlop and the more recent AutoFlop where he flopped with nobody within 20 feet. I love the Lakers and the Warriors as I've lived both N and S Cali but I cant root for Floppers. It wrecks the game.
hardens stepback is down to a science he knows exactly how to get the most separation in a legal way. hes actually a genius considering how he exploited the rules and got mad foul calls for it to the point where the nba changed the rules
5:41 a lot of people say if they constructed their ideal player in a lab, it would basically be Lebron I would definitely make Hakeem... His play was just ridiculously beautiful
@@kaaronhudson8112 because the guy was literally over 7 foot. his height combined with his leg creating space between him and the defender made it literally impossible to reach the ball
Dwade had at least three signature moves: splitting the double team dribble, wrapping the ball over the defender’s head, and the pump fake to draw a and-one.
Lmao, putting Shaq pulling down a backboard as a signature “move”😂 As if it’s a type of play you can draw up to maximize that possession, where the coach says “Shaq, on this one, after the pick and roll, we want you to rip the backboard down, it always works!”
It's definitely one of the first things you think of when you think of Shaq though, any nobody else. You wouldn't draw up a Butt Fumble, but when you think of Mark Sanchez...
3 2 1 MISS IT!!! Unbelievable RIP Black Mamba❤ I love this channel though for real. Giving props to Giannis and Westbrook was classy. But you did miss Kobe's pump fake pull up. He messed up a lot of people with that move. Thanks for amazing content as usual.
@@Gpacalypse33 nigga just because someone does it doesn’t mean it’s not his signature everybody has done a fadeaway multiple have jumped from the free throw line its just who do you think about when you see those moves happening.
Lebrons tomahawk dunks are probably my favorite. I know they arent crazy or anything but I just love how they look. Kareems skyhooks are by far the most iconic tho!
Kareem keeps saying he doesn't know why other players didn't pick up on such a indefensible shot, well, somebody has to tell him, it isn't just anyone who can palm the ball like he could. 7:33 PS.: Being 2,18m tall also not all that common.
