I think it's a bit pricy considering the current rage for SUVs and the alternatives in the market for example Elantra, which is the global competitor for civic
Hey bro nice review. I have driven SUVs/Compact SUVs only since > 10 years. I'm 6 Feet Tall, I am only concerned about one thing. To get in and out (Ingress & Egress) of the car. Will it be a problem or uncomfortable to me? I'm not personally a big fan of Low seated cars, even driver seats for that matter. Pls suggest!
Civic is going to fail if it's priced above 20L on road unless someone wants to go only for a sedan Because there are better SUVs like harrier, compass and MG Hector is coming!!!
Is it just me or does anyone else also think that the car looks absolutely gorgeous from the front? From the back it does kinda look wierd with the coupe like profile but not bad. Still that front end though!!!😍😍😍
It’s amazing to see how different the perception for the same car could be in different geographies. Back home this would be my dream car too but in Western Hemisphere, Jazz is a clown car and civic is a cheap and boring run about. Nobody would ever call it sporty or luxurious. I guess the price difference (taxes) plays a huge part. Time for Mazda to step into India with Mazda 3, Mazda 6, CX-5 and CX-9 to show how a reasonably priced car can be sporty and luxurious.
Bought one and felt it needed more soft suspension in uneven roads, left front seat height adjustments, transmission quality and power unless S Drive and paddle shift usage, slanting front chrome bar, and more bright gloss with ceramic coating. It looks like a beauty smiling with orthodontic wire on teeth.
I'm so tired of the step motherly treatment we are subjected to. Globally, this car comes with a 1.5 turbo petrol, yet India gets an ancient 1.8 NA engine with CVT. I would have bought the 1.5 in a heartbeat, but now Skoda will get my money.
Its not just with more BHP and Nm. 1.5 Turbo had some issues with transmission fluid in US markets and some affected in global so they decided not to get that to India as of now. However they have plans for bringing Type-R within 2020 by then you'd consider giving upto Honda. 😀
Not only Honda others also, Even the hatchbacks like i20,Baleno deserves 1.0 turbo as standard ..but they won't give. I don't understand why. it's so irritating. The only company who offered is shutting shop 😩 FIAT 🙄.. Respect yo Skoda for offering a Manual transmission option even though it's 1.4 turbo petrol.
we had the 2011 civic reborn but previous year we sold it and ought 2018 civic weight has increased thats why pic is decreased but traction controll mind blowing road grip wahhh
I drive a 2007 Civic, and honestly, I wouldn't trade that for the 2019 model. The last time it debuted in India, it rocked the market and even a decade later, it still turns heads. So, from the initial impressions, other than the raised ride height and the cockpit area, the car is not really a 'worthy' successor to the previous-gen Civic!
I also love Honda Amaze, City, Civic, Accord. Both are best in segment (but the only thing that I don't like in Honda car is steering mounted controls)
For me too 😭😭😭 I still love the old CIVIC.. even now it looks so cute 😍🤩😍🤩🤩 and the interiors are still futuristic 😍😍.. I wish they launch that model too once again as its small and cute. And this 2019 Civic also looks really amazing .. only 1 thing I didn't like is the *Front Grill* that spoils the front looks as its to Big... else the car is perfect in all aspects 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏻😘
GAMERS COLONY that’s the design language all Toyota’s and Honda’s are going. People seem to love it since they are highest selling in the lot. Beautiful cars like Mazda have few takers
Great that they did increase the GC. The low GC of the old one was absolutely illogical considering the size of potholes and speed breakers in our country. Even the city 2008 was unsurprisingly low.
OMG...... JUST NOW BOOKED FOR Rs.31000 Radiant Red Petrol!! Can't believe I waited for 2 years to buy this lovely car in India after its launch in 2017 !! Gonna be one of the first to buy this gorgeous car! 😍😍😍😍
Me , but every manufacturer is always after it..... Chrome grill actually adversely affect the looks... The international turbi charged civic has black grill and is gorgeous
Still Honda is insulting us by not giving us the powerful motors. Honda we are ready for all world class cars in India too....this Civic is boring...really....120 hp for the diesel car....are you joking...
Here in UAE there is a base 1.6L engine in Civic which has 123HP, plus it's a petrol engine. And Honda bring the 10th gen Accord that you released in other parts of the world, which has 1.5T and 2.0T engines.
For younger buyers it lacks power and punch...for older generations..it lacks rear seat comfort features... For middle aged it lacks excitement.... So wonder who Honda was focusing while designing this car.
Only Honda Car i Admire but Honda should have made 2.0L Petrol and 1.8L Diesel Engine, as Octavia has 2.0L Diesel and Elantra gives 2.0L Petrol Engine....and one request Honda plz do increase all of your cars Ground Clearance least 180mm as this is not European Market but Asian Market where we have dodgy roads, do take note next time...rest all Civic Looks Fabulous👌
Civic to me was a double edged sword, simple elegant and classy but when the vtec kicks in it pins you to the seats and I feel that a cvt will dull the vtec cams. Maybe if they had like a dsg dual clutch setup gear changes could be quicker and it would have been sportier. Most ppl buying D segment cars don’t worry too much about the mileage. A VW Jetta with its hefty 2ltr motor will never c the tail lights of this 2019 civic.
Yea city is best (first honda car india), and for me it is Corolla or Civic anyday. But normally I'm not into petrol cars below 1.6 liters (i go with 1.6l bare minimum)
I have a facelift Honda Brio Automatic. The dash layout looks the same. The 5spd torque converter in my Brio is shared with the older civic, and its a truely wonderful gearbox. CVT is killjoy. Wish it had a manual.

I am driving petrol topend version since launch. I use "Break Hold" option in Kolkata City Teaffic regularly. Is it bad for my car? Should I use it selectively?
Turbos are bad, they don't add much to the cars that have them other than another extremely expensive item to fail and slightly better fuel economy. Considering I want to keep my car a long time I will be avoiding any car with a turbo
Sir what are you expecting new in HONDA CITY 2020 .. is it worth to wait . Is a mild hybrid system really comes the same price with IVTECH.. is there any chance new better build quality ??
This Honda Civic model sold almost 35,000 cars in Malaysia, most of it was the 1.5 TCP with 180 Bhp btw, the tyre rims look much better here (in Malaysia) !
In 2007 Civic sold more than 2k units per month. Now the situation is changed. Corolla and Octavia are selling 300 units. Elantra hardly reaching 75 to 80 cars per month. If Honda price it well Civic will definitely sell more than 500 units per month

Starting price of Honda Civic in USA/ Canada/ Australia :- *11.5 Lacs* Starting price of Honda Civic in India :- *18 Lacs* 6.5 Lacs extra le kar Honda Indian market ko kya value deta hai ?
As a existing civic customer I’m disappointed with the stupid engine choice on the new civic, I mean why don’t we get a 1.5 VTEC Turbo? At least as an option especially when other manufactures are offering stuff like the Octavia vRS
If you are speaking of vRS then they should have brought the new Civic type-R, which has a 2L turbo with 300+hp, that car would have decimated all other cars!
Exactly Hormazd, as you asked at 5.24, Why did Honda NOT get the 1.5 turbo in India? WHY HONDA WHY? You give that 1.5 turbo even in PAKISTAN. WHY NOT IN INDIA???? At least is this the direct injection 1.8L or is it the old MPFI?
Hi I’m ravi from Rajouri Garden new delhi. I had purchased a new Honda Civic 2019 few days back from cherish honda rohini new delhi. Two measure problem in car, first in tyre noise in cabin too much and second car bonet is vibrating while driving. Please check this problem before buying.
I ll still prefer my 8th gen auto Civic in comparison to this one. Almost, all the tech specs remain same and I just see few electronic upgrades and a little exterior upgrade to current one. The old one still runs like butter. Instead, I ll try to give the old one a good paint or detailing job and save money. Your thoughts?
The new civic is superb in almost all aspect , except the end of exhaust pipe from rear view which is too low hanging, which looks odd. Would have been much better if it is lifted bit and make it invisible.
Tenth generation Honda Civic is back in a completely new global platform and interestingly first time with a diesel engine from Earth Dreams Technology
