This is a quick review of the features and functions in the 2019 Honda Civic LX. If you have purchased one, or considering it this is a nice refresher over what the vehicle has to offer.
Good Video. My lady and I purchased a Molten Lava Colored Honda LX. I love it! And this video answered some of the questions I had after driving it for 3 days lol.
Just picked mine up today...nice to have a refresher video in case I forget what the sales guy showed me. PS I laughed out loud when you changed to kilometers and said "in case you're in Europe" I'm in Canada so I figured you would have said....in case you go on a road trip up north lmao anyway good job EH! Lol
I took a manual lx out on an extended test drive and really enjoyed the driver comfort and easy to operate clutch+shifter. I previously drove a Hyundai Veloster N (the only other standard transmission car at my dealership) and found myself stalling a lot at the beginning. The civics however are quite the practical cars and would be a good option for me if I was not super tall. My height forces me to stick to my rusty trusty 03' Odyssey for now :/
@@kez850 6ft9. At the end I decided I'll be getting the civic hatch sport trim, CVT. I like the manual but I commute in downtown Chicago, don't want to clutch every 5 seconds in creeping traffic
I love this car! Here is a good advice for your LX for better MPG used royal purple oil and change your engine and cabin air filter with K&N brand . :) make sure check tire pressure and make it to 35psi . And sure you will get 40 - 42mpg highway and city is proven with econ oh and always used 93 on gas . :) and u can always change that highbean and low beam with better LED just look online hehe
Wow this helped me so much! I was wondering why I felt like I wasn’t Accelerating and now I know it’s cuz of my Econ button! This is a great video I love how ur straight to the point. How can I program voice command ??
Craig Chevalier we Canadians like our tech. this display is pathetic to be honest. it's 2019 and our neighbors in the States should have to upgrade to get the advanced display with all the useful features.
I learn way more in this video then the dealership I went to. He only been there for a year and he didn’t tell me all the features of the model and it was horrible and we could have prevented an accident that day
HiJustin I got a quick question for you I just brought my first 2019 Honda Civic and thanks for your review ,on the 2019 Honda Civic LX model do it come with talk to text like when u driving and some one text u will the system read your text out loud if so how do that work?
Is there any way to increase the length of the red tach needle? The factory tach is very different to read at a glance with such a tiny red dash of a needle.
I’m interested in the 2019 Civic and I’m looking at which model to get. Does this LX have a touchscreen or is it all buttons to navigate through the menus?
I would personally get the ex-t model due to the fact that the 1.5 turbo is a lot more fun to drive with than the NA 2.0. Also the EX-T comes with touchscreen that’s android auto and Apple CarPlay compatible. Oh and you also get a moonroof that doesn’t comes with the LX.
I just bought the 2018 Honda Civic LX and I was confused on a few things but good thing I found your channel. Does the “S” stand for sport mode on the transmission gears?
BS stands for sport mode. When you have it there, the car will idle at a higher RPM giving you a little bit more get up and go. But in doing so, you lose out on some of the gas mileage.
I bought a honda 2019 civic lx last week. Loved it except the random chimes and buzz sounds came on randomly as I'm driving. I couldn't find out how to turn them off. Any suggestions?
I just bought the Honda Accord. I have the break hold feature as well, but scared to use it, because I feel like it would wear the brakes faster. Would it?
This one should fit your car if it's a 2019 LX: www.oempartsource.com/oem-parts/honda-holder-assembly-cup-nh900l-deep-black-83446tbaaa1za?c=Zz1pbnRlcmlvci1idW1wZXImcz1jb25zb2xlJmw9MSZuPVNlYXJjaCBSZXN1bHRzJmE9aG9uZGEmbz1jaXZpYyZ5PTIwMTkmdD1seCZlPTItMGwtbDQtZ2Fz I also added the sliding coin tray to mine since it did not originally come with one. It will also fit your car: www.oempartsource.com/oem-parts/honda-tray-nh900l-deep-black-83449tbaa01za
I have the EX model and i am disappointed that the lesser model has certain features that my car does not. I have to manually open the trunk. Horrible.
Seems like a good " get me to work and back car " to me. Which is all I need, I'd rather do other things with my money than blow it all on a car, that drops in value, and if it's cool or think you need status..guess what...nobody cares @$$#&%!
What is orange dot, left area of dash, hot/cold area? Came on lower right space? I got gas first time and noticed it came on? More video of audio, speakers etc would have been nice. Book is printed in small print. I did learn a few new items from your video. Could orange dot be right rear tire alert? I hit a curb at post office. UGH.
When my Bluetooth is paired it doesn’t show what song title is playing it’s just a black screen with the time on the top right corner, how would I fix that?
@@fmlrosie9324 if that is the case, you may want to do a hard restart on your vehicle. To do so just unplug the battery for about 20 seconds and then reconnect it. This should reset the head unit completely.
it is really relative to the driver and their habits. For a heavy-footed driver the results will be small if any. For a more conservative driver you may see more savings. There is not a perfect mph gain answer....
Just bought a 2019 LX. Thank you for the nice walk-thru! I'm puzzled, though, on what the graphic just below the vehicle speed, with 80 at the far right and 40 in the middle is supposed to represent? I am guessing it's a vacuum gauge; there is no mention of it in the Owners Manual or any of the Civic videos I've seen.
