And NO MORE BLINDSPOT camera, which I think is a terrible move by Honda. In my 2016-18 Civic, I would always get compliments from my Uber clients regarding how cool they thought that feature was. In addition, it really does come in handy in heavy traffic, and allows for you to change lanes with confidence without any guessing.

Just bought a red 2018 Accord Sport. These Civic changes were to be expected. No need for Navigation model, and they needed a small refresh. All Hondas should have the Accord Infotainment touch screen. Its too good to not be standard across the board. Will Civic Sport be only manual(it should)? Here is the real question..... How does Honda top the 2018 Accord?

I'm kind of apprehensive about getting rid of the 2.0 liter engine for the turbo. Sure it gets slightly better gas mileage, but I've been hearing mix responses about the reliability of turbo engines including honda's. I'm the type of buyer that wants to keep the car for more than just 4-8 years, so that's why I personally picked up the 2017 2 liter ex model instead of getting the 1.5 turbo. But if honda proves to me that their recent civic engines can be just as reliable for more than 8+ years with proper maintenance, then I might change my mind. Anyway, I hope for the best.

This company (as well as VW) needs a basic entry level car. Something to call Norte with the Nissan Versa or Chevy Spark. I loved when Honda had a simple (remember: “We Make it Simple”?) base car without power windows, mirrros, locks, smaller wheels. Just a solid good running Honda for a few grand less than an LX. Now we are stuck with $16 grand or more Fit LX or above. Civic is HUGE and more upscale. Even the Accord had the DX trim. Bring back at least DX model cars! Shit, the Fit at a Minimum.

Sad to see all the super reliable NA engines go in favor of super small turbos, and civic and accord sharing the same engines. That used to be a no no as the accord was premium, but no more, it's just bigger. Hopefully the si will get rev hang fixes and at least 2o more horsepower and torque. otherwise meh.

I have a 2016 EXT and was very jealous when I heard about the new sport trim that is coming out, until I heard you can’t even get one with the turbo. I think it’s a little silly that they don’t have that for an option

Edward now that Honda offers a sport model civic and the hatches now look very simular to the Si. I have a 2017 Si and now it doesn't feel like I have a special car. In other words I don't like how Honda is making all the trims look the same

EX will only be available with a CVT. If you want a 6MT and a 1.5T then you need to get a Si.

I feel like at this point the 2019 sport coupe model is something I look more forward to trading my car in for than the si only because it uses the 2.0 Vtec instead of the 1.5 turbo and it might be a lot easier to mod and tune it than the 1.5 but just my thoughts everyone here has different views I guess 🤷🏾‍♂️

1 problem with the new sports, the Sedan and Coupe Sports only come with the 2.0 NA motors no turbo for the new sports, unless its the hatch

After having a hatch for a year, What they need to work on is not having a touchscreen that is extremely slow in response, and need to add a knob for volume. The gps on the ex-l is nice only because the lx came with a tiny screen which a majority of civic owners tossed out because it was so ugly and wanted a bigger screen. Hmm like on the ex-l. But I’m ready to throw that screen out the window because 1. It’s extremely slow 2. I ant do much with it 3. We need a knob!! 4. It’s so blurry and the resolution is like a tablet from 5 years ago 5. Finally , the software is extremely glitchy. My radio stations will not stay programmed. I have seen many issues online and I can only come to the conclusion that a majority of the head units are defective. What they need to do is improve the design of the gauge cluster, have a head unit that works, remove the fake grills, develop a more responsive cvt that picks up quicker, they lag big time . And finally, that piano black plastic!!! It’s nice but extremely soft and prone to scratches !! I was smart enough to wrap my car in clear bra and then coat it with ceramic pro. Now that’s how to take care of that plastic! Let’s go Honda, and this guy presenting.. what a ween.

Be careful, my 2016 CIVIC EX needs a new AC compressor. Just out of 3/36000 warranty. Other have the same or similar problem. The dealer is asking for $1,600.

Don't care about anything but led headlights. I hate that you need to upgrade all the way to touring just to get it.

What about the remote entry with Start button option? It was called the SE trim in 2018. Plu,s I don't think the 2.0L Sport will be popular. Its like adding stripes to a base model. The engine will growl when driven briskly while the Turbo does it faster, quieter and effortlessly. I'm glad I got the HS on my 2018 as it should now hold its resale value better because its standard on all 2019. Thx for the great update.

I wouldn't buy an EX with a 1.5. But your table shows that 2.0 is still available in the sport so maybe that is the one to get.

In my opinion going to larger rim & low profile tires on the Sport is a HUGE mistake! I test drove the Accord Sport with the large rim/low-profile tire, in our city there's a lot of ruts & bumps on our roads and you feel every dog-gone one of them..... I was NOT impressed, it's a deal breaker for me!

I honestly think there should be Higher HP and torque output in the sport model. (I'm talking in General Sense of all Auto Companies). SPORT = Power there isn't!

Us old school loyal Honda\Acura owners can't win. I just read today's updated press release and it looks like they dropped the EX-T manual coupe for 2019 which now only shows CVT. For some reason, Honda has joined the insanity of deciding that manual buyers don't want sun roofs. Really?? From what I can tell, the new Sport trim coupe and sedan with no sunroof option replaces it's void assuming manual buyers only want non-sun roof budget cars. I was seriously contemplating the EX-T manual to replace my Integra GSR coupe however was going to wait for the physical volume knob on the radio and to see if the Sport would be offered with a sun roof but as I suspected, it won't so it's off my list. Now, if I went with the 2019 civic coupe EX-T there is no option for the manual I can see. I will reserve final judgement until I see it on their web site under build.

Probably keep the GARBAGE upholstery, such as middle console where your arm leaves behind chunks of skin.

I will miss you good old n/a honda engines! Reliable, fun, quiet when crusing but when the vtec comes in, it’s an other buisness... good bye punchy and high reving engine... otherwise the video was nice! Not bland, it got some music and you seems to be a nice guy!

3:25 - Not sure if I am in the minority, but I love the Navi in my car, and prefer it much more than the Navi on my phone. If you have Apple CarPlay on, AND your car had its own Navigation system, does the car FORCE you to use the iPhone Navi, or will it allow you to use the car Navi?

I just got a 18 sport touring hatch. But those shouldn't be refreshed right now. However I will be angry if Honda introduces blind spot monitoring and every other sensing feature from the accord.

Getting a Civic soon but this is the biggest mistake Honda will make. I wanted the 2.0l non turbo. Cause turbos cause problems and especially when the car gets older and it's just pointless just a money pit. Waiting to happen. Everything shiney ain't gold.

I was looking forwards to the Civic 2019, the car sales manager told me to just buy the 18 since civic got bought and it'll be a while until they release it. Was this true or was she just trying to get a sale?

I too work for a Honda dealership. My question is, what the power rating will be on the ''Sport'' trims. Honda is saying they will have a "High-Revving 2.0L VTEC" 4 cylinder. Hopefully it will be more than the old 158 HP 2.0 that was found in the LX and EX trims.

Wonder if Honda is going to change the turbo in the last minute? They said TD003 for the Si, everyone I have asked has a install of a TD025! If I would of checked before buying , is it my first turbo tho. Hope they take off that damn parking button , hope they put a spare tire, no light in the glove compartment smh. The lights inside are useless btw! No volume button smh.

I'm a Toyota driver, but I'm wanting to try something new and the '19 Civic looks really good. One question though, do any of the Civic trims come with a Aux input for the sound system? It's a minor gripe of mine, and would love to still have that capability.
