Great video! Looking at used Civics and Accords. This video was super informative. I will definitely snag an EX Civic sedan if I can find one. Also looking at used Accords. Daughter just totaled her 2013 Accord EX and every single inch of that car was demolished. She walked away with a scraped elbow! No doubt this car saved her life!
The trim levels also have different start up animations on the gauge cluster. There's a video I saw, explaining all the trim levels of the civic with the different animations. It's really neat.
I just bought one on Wednesday. I wish I would of saw this before I bought mine. 😁 I ended up getting the sport and my salesman never even told me it didn’t have xm. He kept saying it did so I just took his word for it then once I signed off on it I found out it didn’t.
Due to computer error the electronic brake on my 2016 Civic engaged while I was driving the car. The Honda service department technicians said they didn't do anything that addressed/corrected the problem. Honda customer service said the brake problem was fixed and refused to compensate me for my losses from trading the Civic for a 2017 Accord without the electronic parking brake. The only way to get rid of the problem was get rid of the Civic. I wonder if the same engineers designed the 737s.
I just got a low milage certified 2019 Civic EX-T (charcoal grey) on 8-6-21 and it’s “Tricked” out minus leather and I absolutely LOVE it! Sunroof,XM, heated seats , turbo, nice mild spoiler, rims(not caps) sensing package, front & rear cameras, smart entry, push button, remote start, this car has it “ALL” but leather and I could care less. This Civic is what I’ve been dreaming of on every level!#ThankYouHonda#CivicEnvy/Lust#GetYouSome#Civic#EX-T#💣-ASS-Ride
Yes, Very responsive, handles well and NEVER have I driven a 4 cylinder ANYTHING automatic with this much pep, personally getting 34 mpg city/44 mpg hwy! Just test drive, I tried Civic 2.0 non aspirated and 1.5L turbo and when they told me gas mileage owning a Nissan Titan that got 12mpg city/14 mpg highway ONLY with cruise control with gas prices climbing I didn’t even give it a second thought! I traded truck in that day and drove my new Honda home & never looked back! I have owned 3 other Civics in 90’s and (1) Acura Integra and they ALL handled VERY well and lasted over 200K before I got rid of them to upgrade. #Honda❤️@@ArturoGR-zs9hm
My son needed some extra room for samples used on the job, but being 30 yrs old, he wanted a modest amount of pizzazz and an extra measure of performance = 2020 Civic Sport Hatchback My wife and I are retired with occasional drives with the grand kids. So we wanted a more secure area for them in the back. We also wanted some fun performance, but not go with "boy racer" models with a bunch of spoilers = 2020 Civic Coupe EX-T. Both were the correct call.
I got the 2017 base model Rally red. I hate the base. But I will be putting Coilovers and Black RIM!!!!! Was going get the sport but the sport and lx is the same only different is the rims Keyless entry and fog lights remote start ETC!! Not a bad price for my car.
Nice thing about the base is it's a cheaper upfront investment. And if you're going to invest money to build the car the lx is the way to go. More options
Great video. I have a 2017 LX. Here in Canada. LX trim is way better than the US one. It comes with the touchscreen with android auto and apple carplay. Also has heated seats and heated side mirors. Seats are cloth but feel plush like leather. I even had a passenger once think they were leather!
+Jake Morgan no, I only did Sedans in this trim. I will do a separate one for the hatch. But you're right, I should have mentioned them in this video too
What about the interiors? Many new cars come with the shiny, silky upholstery which has the feel of Barbie's pink dress. NOT good for a car... Which model comes with the high quality, Honda proven, plush, velour-like material?
I would say that it is fairly easy to learn as long as you know how to do it before you try it. I would watch some RU-vid videos of different people explaining how and then when you go to do it you will already have some knowledge and then it just comes down to learning how your car likes to be driven
I haven't tried it first hand but I heard the manuals have automatic rev matching so you don't have to fool with the gas pedal to get the RPM's right. Makes shifting a lot smoother and easier.
I know that they DID have oil dilution problems. To the best of my knowledge they have that figured out now. It was a bigger problem on the CRV from what I have heard.
I have seen one option like Honda civic type r.. But the info is lacking.. Can u please update me the same if u know about it as I would like to know about the same..
Does every civic 2017-2018-2019 comes with 2 engine option? 2.0 and 1.5 turbo? I’m planing to get EX 2.0 but some pages I have seen they wrote 1.5 EX also. Please help me coz I’m going crazy . Thank you
I personally think the ex model is best value for money. You get a lot more for just a few thousand more than the base model. Like the push start, 7 in display, moon roof, prob the best rims I've ever seen on a budget sedan, etc
melissa shirah yea the rims are cool but I can always buy aftermarket and the only thing I don’t like about the push button start is that is costly to fix it it goes out :(
@@IsThatChadHondaReviews I only have my electris bass but if I eveey buy an upright or a double bass, I just wanted to know if it fits into one of the honda civics. I think uprights are pretty much the 3/4 size for adults.
The 2013-2015 are considered the "9th generation" civics. They are prodominetly the same. 2016 is when it changed to this style. Between the 2 generations, I think the 10th generation is more refined, gets better gas mileage, and more standard features.
IsThatChad Auto Reviews was wondering about the reliability, no recalls on the 2013, but there are recalls on 2014 which comes with cvt transmission and, and the both 2015 and had recalls regarding a transmission software issue, thats why i was wondering if the 2013 was the most reliable and if I should get the 2013 instead of the 2015 even tho I want a younger vehicle
variable transmission it has tons of gears I have a 2018 the cvt shifts funky when you are slowing down takes time to get used to I have the ex model and I love it great on gas and fun to drive forget that turbo crap those go bad
It all coming to preferencs. Obviously i aint paying for xtra shit. Give me base model anyday, i will take it and pay it off and upgraded all myself. 10x bettrr than the original base model. 2019 base model life. No need for fog light, rims , touch screen nor leather sit or rear sidr camera, or moonroof. Unnnecsary stuff that overly charge by the corporate company...
So are the models between the base and touring even needed, you can buy a base and if you want a turbo (those who mod cars) you can buy a better than stock tourbo and still be cheaper. Not enough changes unless you really want rims and leather seats I guess.
jesters08joker Also, The touring also gives you Heated leather seats, moonroof, navigation, dual climate control, eight speaker audio system and I believe dual spoilers and alloy rims.
