This is a quick review of the features and functions in the 2019 Honda Pilot EXL. If you have already purchased one, or you are considering it this is a great refresher over what the car has to offer.
Great video thank you. I picked up my EX-L the other day and still have so much to learn, your video gave a great start to learning it all. I LOVE my EX-L I am glad i chose this over the Santa Fe. I love the rugged look they added to the vehicle, if I had bought in 2018 I think I would have passed on the Pilot because of it's looks. I like a rugged looking vehicle, I also chose the Deep Scarlet which is a great color. Thanks Honda for upgrading in 2019 and making my cay buying choice very easy. Now I just have to remember how the dealership told me how I could put down all the windows with the remote , so much to learn and remember. I will be using that feature a lot as I am in Florida and will need to air out the car.
Just hold the unlock button on the key to open all the windows and sunroof down, it's an excellent feature and very useful when the car is parked in sun.
Thanks for the great overview and explanation of how things work on the EX-L. (So many review videos of the Elite and Touring I wasn't sure of the difference - now I know) Very helpful!
I'm on my 2nd Pilot and my 4th Honda. That speaks for itself. Honda's are well made cars and has a superior service dept. This video is great to review the functions on my Pilot. They review everything when you buy the car but who remembers all of that?
Nice video buddy you covered all the important points that a customer should be looking at.. you answered most of my questions but one you forgot to mention the button on the shifter puts the car into 4D. Other than that great review
Thanks for quick review of a mid-level model. Most reviews are for the top trim levels. Two quick questions: System Updates, are they done over a wifi connection or still need to take back to the dealer? Trailer hitch, is that installed by the dealer or factory. Thanks Again.
System updates are done at the dealership. Nav updates are done via USB. It is installed by the dealership. All Honda accessories you see on Honda.com are installed at the dealership.
Why is the front passenger's seat bell mounted to the chair instead of the floor like the one on the driver side? Honda pilot 2016 has a side view mirror turning light but not 2019 model. Why?
Awesome video! I’m having an issue that is driving me crazy. My iPhone doesn’t give me text alerts while in the car. I don’t have it on Apple play, and the DND is off. I don’t have it set up for messages on the car.... I want my phone to alert that I have a text while in the car. I use Bluetooth for calls. I do typically charge in from the usb in the console. Is that the problem? Thank you for your help!
I have the Honda Link app, but I don’t see the remote start option, only the basics. Is that something I need to sign up for? Thanks (New lease on a 2020 Pilot EXL)
thanks for this video!!! i'm so confused and maybe you can help me... i wanna get one with memory seats, do i have to get a 2019? or can i get a 2017 used one with memory seats? i'd like to get a 2017 or 18 with programable seats but it seems like they only exist in the touring and elite models. is it possible to get the programable seats in a 2017 or 18 without getting a touring or elite? thanks for your help
Generally good information, however the information regarding the HondaLink info is incorrect for the EX-L. Both this review and the dealer stated I would have access to unlock my doors, or be able to track my GPS location. That is not correct for this model, only the trim and touring model come with that capability. The EX-L only has basic & Link (dashboard info) options. If you upgrade to the Nav option, you can also search and save favorite locations to access them in your vehicle GPS. But the other capabilities, as mentioned, are not available for this trim.
I am having an issue where my mirrors keep resetting after I turn off the car regardless of which driver key I use . The mirror goes outward and up on the driver side . Is there a setting or fix for this ??? Is anybody else having this issue .
If you reverse into a spot then shift into park to turn the car ff it could be readjusting the mirror after it lowers it. Do you have your mirror switch set to the left right now? I bet that is what you are seeing. Switch it to the center and see if you notice this.
Loved the review; thank you very much. One question I had was about the remote option through the app. I do have the 2019 Honda Pilot EXL model, but I thought I read that unless I have the higher trim, I won't have the remote app option to start my car, receive alarm alerts, etc. I read that here: www.hanselhonda.com/blog/whats-included-with-hondalink-in-the-2018-honda-pilot/ Could you help me with my question? Thank you!
For remote start from your phone you need Touring or above. - Here is a webpage to help you out with this - hondalink.honda.com/#/compatibility?year=2019&model=Pilot
Let me say this about the Pilot from 2016 up to 2019 on all levels. they cub holders are garbage. I have both a pilot and an accord. My accord cup holder accommodates my hydro flask 32oz my Pilot does not.
