UPDATE: As of April 5, 2019, the decision as to whether a candidate passes or fails the CBT will be governed by an OVERALL PASS MARK.
PREVIOUSLY, whether a candidate passed or failed the CBT was determined by both critical questions and final pass mark. A candidate had to answer 90% of critical questions correctly and the overall pass score was 60%.
NOW, the candidate has to achieve just the overall mark which is 68% for Adult Nursing.
How many times can you sit CBT?
Candidates can now sit the CBT up to three times as part of one application, with a minimum of 10 days between each sitting. If you are unsuccessful after the permitted attempts, your application will close. You'll be required to submit a new application and will not be able to sit the CBT again for the minimum of 6 months.

Hello po @Jennifer Gilmore. Um. Yong royal marsden professional edition which I linked in the description box in this video lang din kasi 'yong binasa ko in preparation for cbt. Kasi yon po recommended ng agency ko and usually talaga halos verbatim ang lumalabas na galing don sa libro so you don't need to read any other books. Yong mock exams sa surveymonkey is based din po lahat sa royal marsden. It is complex. But you can skip yong mga part na alam mo na and focus sa boxes na nasa libro po. 😇

I passed CBT last Sept. 2020 in less than 40 minutes... I reviewed for 10 days, 4 hours a day concentrating on the 1000 questions. Just familiarize it and you'll pass for sure.

Slr. I've just read this comment now. Wala pa po akong assigned location and trust. Most probably pag may decision letter na ako sa nmc, tyaka palang sasabihin ng agency ko. Though may sinabi na silang places of assignment which is outside central London where the cost of living is much cheaper. 😊

Hi Danica, first of all congratulations for passing the CBT exam. I would like to ask if i can take the CBT even if i dont have yet the english exam?! and I am already 50 yrs old, (presently working in a hospital), do i still have the chance to be accepted in UK? I am interested to take the NMC-CBT exam.

Hi. Thank you po. Yes, you can definitely take CBT first. But consider that English Test is more difficult to pass. And CBT has an expiry of 2 years. So it is more advisable to pass the English Test first. I am not quite sure about age requirements here in the UK for foreign applicants but there are older employees here who are still working. :)

Yes sis. Create an account first sa nmc. Then sa pearson. It will lead you to pearson vue once you registered sa nmc. Then after 24 hours, you'll receive an email that you can now register for CBT. :)

Hi po. I actually quite forgot the process already. Pero I think you need to register in Pearson Vue and make sure you select Adult Nursing. They'll send you something after a day as far as I remember.

Fyi guys❗ meron na bago ngayon ang nmc nag veverify na sila na sa PRC if registered nurse ba tlga dito sa pinas. so it takes 2wks daw then email sila sayo ung email na un dala dala mo sa PRC parang verification cert. ganun po. Goodluck satin.

For IELTS UKVI, 7 in all areas except writing which is 6.5 then B for all areas in OET. I think that is still the latest update 🙂

Hi maam, im planning to take my CBT ths year, gaano po ba katagal valid ang CBT after mo mapass, at ok lng ba if mag expire na IELTS ko as long as Valid pa CBT? Hello po. As far as I know, kailangan po valid pa rin yong IELTS kasi para po yon sa visa at registration ninyo as nurse sa UK. So kailangan valid sya hanggang sa makarating po kayo sa UK. Sayang naman po 'yong IELTS ninyo kung mag-eexpire na. Mahirap pa naman po dito makakuha ng mataas ng score ng IELTS sa Pinas. I suggest, i-push nyo na po CBT nyo. Kayang kaya 'yong exam basta magreview lang po kahit pahapyaw :) Bali ang CBT po kasi is Part 1 Nursing Exam na. Part 2 po yong OSCE pag nasa UK na.

English test po (IELTS or OET) kasi hindi ka makakagawa ng account mo sa nmc para maka-take ng cbt if hindi ka pa passer. 😊

@KK GA, thank you po for the correction. But I believe it's always better to pass the English Test first since the validity of CBT is only two years until you accomplish your OSCE or else your application will be cancelled and you need to wait for 3 months until you can register again. So basically, you'll be wasting a lot of time (with all the processing) if you'd take CBT first since a lot of people find the English Test harder to pass. Mine took me almost a year. But yes, it's good if you can take the English Test at one go. 😊

Hi. You can. But CBT expires in 2 years. If you can pass your english test in a year that would be great. But remember you need a valid english test for your visa here and CBT so you can take the OSCE. Plus the whole processing time for your documents. So it does make sense to pass your english test first because it’s where most people fail and it takes time. Hope this helps!

Read the royal marsden book (free online) and also the link I showed in the video for the practice questions. It really helped. You can do it! Review + prayers :)

Hello po. Wala pa po ako sa part na 'yon. Sabi ng agency ko, pag visa processing na. Siguro naninigurado din sila na approved na talaga. IELTS UKVI at CBT lang po marereimburse sa akin. Though 'yong CBT sabi nila sa amin noon pwede na sila na magshoulder noon pero may mga forms kasing need i-accomplish. Di ko lang po sure sa ibang agencies. Iba iba din kasi. :)

Yes po. I have a review center. JROOZ. Search nyo na lang po sa Facebook. Very responsive naman sila. They have a review for IELTS and OET :)
