Great vid! Rode my Scout from Utah to California this summer, and am now thinking of getting a bigger bike. Seriously considering this year/model. Even more so after seeing how much fun you had lol
Brandon Bicasso, I love your videos, and I enjoy how much you love Indians. If I bought a cruiser, it would be an Indian because I love that an American company is making modern motorcycles. If I were in the market for a new bike, I would seriously consider an Indian FTR 1200. That Flat Track influence is too cool. As for what I currently ride, it Triumph Tiger 1050. I may restore my bike from high school and college, a Kawasaki S-3 400, a two-stroke triple.
Nice video. Glad you had the chance to check out the Springfield and liked it. Now you know how much I really enjoy mine. Its a nice ride. the 111 ain't no slouch and is enough for me and a bit cheaper than the 116 but just as punchy. Enjoy and ride safe bro.
Honestly.. the 111 at some points felt faster than the 116. I don't know the physics behind it, but it was A LOT quicker than I thought it was. Apparently, I wasn't the only person at the demo day that thought that either.
Scouts the fastest Indian. The whole Indian lineup is pretty good for their roles. Darkhorse Springfield is odd, it looks great, but loses everything the Springfield brings to the table, windshield, highways bars that are standard on a stock Springfield.
Omg! What are you doin to me Bicasso! That matte white with the black Wow! I forgot about that Springfield. Really can't be buying another bike right now lol
What sup Brandon... it's been a minute bruh.. but how do you like riding the cheiftain (116) and Springfield.. I've ridden both on demo days 3 times each.. I guess my question is how do you feel about the thunderstroke engine and have you had the chance to demo ride the Harley street gilde or road glide m8? Dont get me wrong the Indian is beautiful machine... the 116 ci it's a monster... but cheiftain 111ci and Springfield.. I felt there was little lack or delay on the throttle response.. like when you twist the throttle to give some gas it thinks about it oh you want me go fast lol.. where the Harley big cruiser line.. especially the road glide I felt it was better over all bike and eats the wind like butter with shark nose fairing.. dont get me wrong the Indian is beautiful bike.. I'm just comparing the thunderstroke engine vs the Milwaukee 8..
I went to a local Indian test day last week. I'm a new rider and wanted to try the scout bobber. It's a big difference between the ratty old 125cc from the MSF class and 20 yards on the parking lot made me shift it back to neutral and roll it back to the line. A bit above my head at the moment and I'm enough of an old fart to admit that, which the local crew appreciated. I'd rather look like a dumbass rolling it back in line than launching it and hurting someone. Oh well, maybe next year. :)
Hey, I appreciate you taking your safety seriously. No point in trying to hurt yourself to prove something. When you're ready to ride, the Bobber will be there for you. It's not going anywhere. Get those skills up and keep me posted. 👌
Just went out and bought a semi-new Honda CB500X, which is a little different but it was older yet brand new (ish) and in immaculate condition. I think I got a good deal.
It's still at the seller's. Didn't have the insurance ready yesterday and today we have atrocious weather and I'd prefer not to take it out in the rain the first day. :) It's in awesome shape, recently maintained at a shop, all the usuals were looked after. Soon though!
This was great. Personally I don't like fairings on bikes, so this is my jam. I wish it came in an iridescent green/bronze blend. You would look like a pharaoh riding a giant war scarab.
Pretty good cross section, thanks for posting. I'm going to search to see if you review your Scout, I'm interested in the rpms at hwy speeds and vibrations and Rear Shock comments and or upgrades.
Ohhhh yeah! This with the 116 is on the Hell Yes for sure. As much as I love my Lowrider S, this bike is surely tempting. Man sooo many killer choices from Indian now with the updated Springfield and the FTR 1200, Harley has just Got to up their game big time. Excellent video, as always!
I am most definitely going to partake in the next indian demo days at the indian dealership near me. My hubby will be tired from just getting of of a 12 hour shift but he's gonna have to go anyway. I'm not missing another one this summer.
I had the chance to ride that Springfield about 3 weeks ago and I had the same reaction. I have been trying to figure out how to sell a kidney every since lol
Thanks, David! Also, good! Get those creative juices flowing and start planning some vids. When you decide to drop one, you won't have to think about it. Just ride, record and done.
I ended up buying a new HD Softail slim with a stage one kit. Honestly it would suck the Indians headlight off.... man it’s quick and handles like a dream. Indians are gorgeous but HD still has the better bike I think absolutely now with the M8 motor and especially the 107 😊
I have the 2017 Roadmaster and I sooo wish it had sport mode. If it did, I wouldn't have to someday drop all that cash for a stage 1 or 2. Great review. and you are right, the 116 fuel map is sketchy or my demo ride was, with the ride modes , the 116 upgrade is a non issue, not needed at least for me .
Yeah, I didn't get a chance to ride the 116 at Thunder Beach. I did hear that this 116 possibly had a different tune, but I can say that this one was hitting in all the right places.
@@Roll_with_R.C. Well, whether it's reducing or adding power in the modes, there is a noticeable difference. I'd be careful with Sport mode in certain conditions.
Chief dark horse has a longer rake so it's more stable in straight line but less responsive in corners. Also, Springfield should have air adjustable rear shocks...the Chief has a manual knob to adjust the rear.
@@BrandonBicasso Not yet, I was already considering the 2018 dark horse but then my dealer told me to hold off and check this one out before. I know I can't ride that bike and not take it home🤣🤣🤣🤣. I always appreciate your content. I gotta catch sometime when you are back in Ga. I wish the Springfield dark horse came in like a denim red, that white looks good but if I make the trade, I may try that.
I'd like to see it in a burnt flat cherry or red. Ugh, gotta stop riding these bikes, lol. Also, I'm doing more state to state rides so I'll def be in the area soon.
@@HoustonT17 I am currently eyeing two 2019 models 5 hours away from me. Was not happy to hear that my dealership doesn't ship bikes. I am chosing the 2019 over the new versions because I like the 3 lamps in the front. Don't know why they were taken away on current models. My new dilemma is deciding am I keeping the bobber or trading it for a Springfield DH. I am attached to the bobber but don't want to neglect her once I get this Springfield.
Got a 2019 114ci road king special. Love it. Test drove sn Indian. Good American bike. Just clunkier trans and less refined to me. Competition is great for the consumer. Cant wait to see what Indian's answer to the 114 will be.
Awesome! Glad you at least got a chance to test ride it. Also, Indian's answer to the 114 is the 111, lol. If you want to go a step further there's the 116. After riding the 114 Fat Bob and Break out, I think the 111 is plenty. 👌😎
You’ve got skills with your editing on the intro. Great video but kinda long. I loved the Springfield but I bought a scout cause it’s a lot of bike for a lower payment. All those Indians need a real tach that you can see.
@@BrandonBicasso it looks so effing beautiful...whenever i'm in a touring mood i take out the Indian, i also own the Rocket 3 Roadster, the ducati panigale and a Harley Fat Boy...😀😀😀😀😀
I don't know why I didn't see this video before. This is the bike the color everything that got me interested in the Indian brand after Victory went to hell. The new Springfield has the bigger motor and I'm watching this right after the Challenger came out. Indian just makes for very hard decisions now.
Hey, subscribe so you don't miss it next time, lol. I didn't ride the new Springfield at the demo yesterday, but listen.. the new 116 is on point. It's a lot more refined and smooth on power delivery. Definitely check it out if you haven't the opportunity.
@@BrandonBicasso im subscribed! Have been for a while..thats why i wondered how i missed this... It was maybe 12 vids before your accident. Which im glad you recovered from. Im gonna try to ride both next spring. Johnny ks is getting a delivery in dec of the challenger
Brandon Bicasso I am seriously thinking about trading in my victory high-ball for that bike you killing me here stop making videos like this I'm going to be trading my bike every other month LOL
Lmao that's bike I'm thinking about. Not willing to sell my first bike though, two tone blue white 2018 scout. 8500 miles on it since July. But that Springfield...
Wow!! I got my thunder black 2018 scout in July and only got 1100 miles on it. I'm a bit jealous. Of course I don't have the endorsement yet, just permit and have to ride with someone who has it.
