Austrian RU-vidr Schaaf is a fast guy in the Alps who highly praises the Z900 for its super fun, super confidence inspiring nature. I reckon it's rare that he's as positive about bikes costing far more!
@@clubstyleridahd4695 I didn't care for the seat of the MT I rode. Once I get a chance at better weather I'll go test a Street Triple R and make my final call between that or the Z.
@@mattb.3815 I'll get some time on one in the spring along with the Street Triple. With all the hype around Triumph's 765 engine I feel I need to give that a shot before dropping the hammer.
ive got the new 2020 after not riding in 30 years and dirt only so YEAH its fast as hell for me stock!!! ive added sliders and a Akrapovic slip on only while i get used to power etc and still keep warranty. i love it! i got a 21 KLX 300 be here any day deposit was in April. lol
Hey Chris I got my ecu back from you for my 2018 gsxr1000 and I couldn’t be happier! Bike made 183 to the back wheel on pump gas! Your flash is the real deal! *EDIT* by the way that was on a dyno that is known to read low!
Z900 nice bike, but I'd get z1000 as I'm too tall and do not fit z900 well. Would be great to see z1000 on the rollers and ultimately see the comparison charts for both pre and post flash tune for both bikes. Thumbs up to Moore Mafia!
Video ended a little abruptly but looks like it tapped out at 128hp. Not bad at all. I have the rs version of this bike, same motor, so it’s good to know some power can be squeezed out of it.

Optimistic dyno. 125bhp without breathing on the engine is max. Add a front airbox mod and an 18 thous cometic head gasket and you can touch 130bhp & 76ftlb. Compression up from 11.8 to 12.2:1. Zx10 1016cc BBK 133bhp & 80ftlbs. Want more? You have to get bigger valves or a turbo.
I have recently rode the z650 and was impressed. I was at a demo day and could not get a slot on the z900 so that was a little disappointing. I owned a first gen FZ09 and am leaning toward getting another. I was impressed by the 650 but my legs were more bent and in more of an attack position. I would ride my FZ almost like a dirt bike and I would sometimes go off-road down a dirt road or some flat trail even with the full street tires. The FZ. Allows you to stand up real easy and your legs are not as bent/swept back. Based off the 650 I think the Z900 could be a contender but I’m still leaving toward the MT09. However if I had to choose between the MT07 and the Z650, I would pick the Z650 after having ridden both of them now.

Nice video, it shows the process nicely. Would appreciate the footage of the actual flashing process and changes done to the tune, but perhaps later :). Would you mind explaining something to me? Why is it so lean in the lower RPM? That seems like a recipe for disaster when trying to launch the bike. Trying to learn :)
@mooremafia Looks great! Most impressive pump gas tune I've seen yet. 2 questions. 1. How much were u able to raise the rev-limiter from stock? 2. I've got a Z900 w full system & sprint filter. I live in WA & sent my ecu to a shop in Kirkland last summer. They were one of the only places that had a tune at the time and seemed to have a good rep. but when I got my ecu back, I couldn't tell any difference at all, inc the rev-limit, still identical to stock... They also didn't provide any info re: changes made etc. They just recently got back to me & said I can resend it in to them, but now that your tune is avail, I'd prefer to have u do it. would it be possible for me to just send to u for flashing instead or do i need to have reset to stock by them 1st etc? Just lmk. Thanks
I just had my ECU flashed by Moore Mafia also full Akrapovic exhaust system and a Sprint F1-85 air filter and man what a difference it power wheelies in 2nd now from a roll on throttle thanks Moore Mafia.
It’s a Z900, not a Ninja. I have the same bike in same colour, but with a full titanium SC Project slip on and headers, top of the line racing set up. Getting mine dyno tuned and new ECU shortly …
I ride a ninja 400 i want buy knew but in israel bikes very expensive more than twice that in us. I concerne if i should tune this bike i want more power so very interesting if i can push something out of small engine. If you will make video with ninja 400 it will be great
Z400 or ninja 400 on a dyno will be great becouse it is a good track bike but it have more in him everybody buys power commanders and a dynotune is the best in my opinion .
I’ve been adjusted in buying one of the new katanas. I understand they have about 148 hp stock. When would you be able to reflash one to see the full potential. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
What does it cost to have you flash my ECU? I have installed Akrapovic headers and a LeoVince LV pro slip on. Also, is it necessary to install the block plates and what is the turnaround time on something like that?
Why this old 2017 z900 get more on wheel horsepower compared to current 2022 model? While comparing both after ecu reflash this old model still win on hp numbers
My bike feels abd rides like a whole new Machine. It's alive and a joy to ride. it you have a 2021 Z900 put a M4 full system and flash the ECU you'll thank me later
Is it OK if I choose to keep the cat and only replace the breadbox and muffler without tuning the ecu? Is the power loss in low and middle range gonna be quite obvious?

Chris Moore ..stop with your lies Z900 not ninja can't make more than 126hp on regular fuel My z900 we did a lot of stuff like brocks exhaust full piping and DNA filter and direct air intake and i got after almost a year of modifying 129hp So i know that you put race fuel in there after your first pull !!!
