Jefferson, Chase, Helaire, Devonta smith, Burrow, Waddle, Tua, Jeudy, Najee, Trevon Diggs, Surtain II. SOOO many prominate NFL players on these two teams. Wild how much talent there was.
Joe Burrow went on the road in that environment while they already had Tua's name engraved on the Heisman, and opened the game 13/13 for over 200 yards and 2 TD's. That's just insane.
Kevin McMinn Agreed, great play calling by Coach E, that’s his strength as an OC, and Brady has input, so those two minds on Game-day is hard to beat...IMO...
@vince l The Tide is owed an ass-whipping in Baton Rouge, so get ready. Oh, that's right you're not going near BR; well get ready for a long distance ass-whipping...
As an East-coaster turned West-coaster who had never even been to the South until this year - I happened to find myself in Macon Georgia the Saturday of this game and watched it from a sports bar there. An experience I will never forget as long as I live - watching this all-time classic from the heart of SEC country.
Nothing could stop that LSU offense man… one of the best I’ve ever seen in my life. I eventually learned about Burrow’s tough upbringing and all the struggles he faced to get to that point. Growing up in a poor, working class community in Rust Belt Ohio, being benched at OSU and taking a chance to transfer to LSU and given the reins to run Coach O’s offense and he did not disappoint whatsoever. I’m a Tennessee fan, but I’m a huge fan of Burrow’s and was rooting for them that season and especially in this game against Bama. Burrow’s already shown his ability to be a true leader in the NFL. He is definitely going to go down as one of the greatest of this next generation of quarterbacks. I hope he gets his rings soon.
Jive Ass Turkey I’m glad the only thing you can think to pick on is the fact I couldn’t focus on my spelling bc I was too focused on watching LSU kicking your asses.
i love it 2019 lsu tigers theres just so many great wins to watch lol for me its like watching die hard or terminator 2 over and over as great a team as those 2 movies were
Mr Moe he’s out every preseason bitchin about a rule voted on by the NCAA. If u remember not to long ago it was about the substitution of players on defense. Another dealt w/ recruiting and the dead period. Not to mention his “unhinged” behavior on the sidelines and in interviews.
@@evanslemont8999 yeah I think they were just too stacked. I think that even Braxton Miller was there one year Burrow was on the roster, coupled with all the other QBs they had. just wasn't enough space for all of them sadly
@vince l FYI, I have been -- and always shall be -- a Detroit Lions fan. This is nothing. Plus, I learned a long time ago not to attach my ego to things like sports teams which I cannot control. It's a game.
lol SEC fanbabies are so damn retarded that they'll even dog people rooting for them. usually so they can keep pretending they're the best conference in football, even though everyone in the country outside the south can see the SEC is in a downward spiral. SEC fans barely existed before 2007, and very soon they wont exist again. and for the sake of all college football, it will be wonderful to not hear their pathetic, unwarranted self-righteousness for a change lol
The announcer was more excited for the long Alabama touchdown than the touchdown, WITH A BROKEN TACKLE, that all but sealed the win for LSU. C'mon, man
@@unapologeticallyafrikan9862 You are correct. I've noticed this tendency for decades. And this noticeable bias, this tendency to not take LSU seriously, coming from the sportscasters and analysts influences the viewers. In my conversations over the years with friends and acquaintances, this bias against LSU is obvious.
I'm a FSU Seminole fan. I've been watching ball since I was a little kid. I was there in Tallahassee when Coach Bowden arrived all the way to the end. He produced some mighty good teams. The Miami Hurricanes produced many good teams during this time although the manners and attitude of some of their teams stunk. Gainesville and the Gators were 3 hours away from Tallahassee and I saw Coach Spurrier's great teams and then Meyer took over and Tebow came I have to say though, LSU and Burrow and the season they had to capture the national championship has to be very near the top or at the top of the greatest teams and season to ever come around in college football. Burrow said he could of worn a blindfold all season and just stepped back and threw the ball up blindfolded and he would not have worried because he knew one of his team would catch it. It was a SUPERB season for LSU with ultra talent on display from start to finish and to think it ended in Louisiana and New Orleans. It just could not have been more storybook but it wasn't storybook. It actually happened. The LSU coach is a great one. Someone and somebody is going to have to try awful hard to top this season.
You are spot on about LSU 2019. I compared LSU to Neb95 and Neb71. In at least 25 metrics, LSU beat both like 22 to 3. I can't remember all of then. Been meaning to go back to that post. * Top 20 teams beaten * Top 10 teams beaten * Top 5 teams beaten down the stretch * NC coaches beaten at game time (Spurrier was not a NC coach in 95). LSU 2, Neb71 1 * Bowl record of coaches beaten. Just how good were the coaches Osborne beat. * Heisman winners beaten at game time and on and on. Bowden, a losing record to every Cane coach with a NC. Count em, 4.
Yes sir he sure will LSU will no longer have only one Heisman trophy winner this will make two. Not bad for a university that has been accused of being able to recruit every position except qb. Who cares if he was a transfer. I love it
Joe burrow, Tua, Jamar chase, devonta smith, Justin Jefferson, Jalon waddle, trevon Diggs, Najee Harris, Edwards-Helaire, Jerry Judy A LOT OF GREAT NFL SUPERSTARS ALL TOGETHER IN ONE GAME.
It was a good thing LsU coaches and players all agreed to mess up on a few plays to keep the fans there for the whole game :) cause it was bout to be a blow out and everyone in that stadium knew it would have been a bleauxout.
I’ve refused to watch this since the day of the game. The auburn game too. It still hurts. I totally forgot how good of a game this was. The only team who went toe to toe with the tigers all season.
Wow, after watching this game again, Alabama, with Tua, is the best team LSU played this year. Our defense wasn’t as mature as it would be by the time we reached the playoffs, and it showed. I hope that great recruiting and good coaching with all the players coming back puts us back into the title game in 2021
Toby Ihli omg kid , I think 3 ranked teams already made it clear ain’t gonna be no more NC’s for BaMa, our trash defense made it possible for your almost 2nd half comeback , coach O has already hired the best defensive coordinator for next season , and our offense only got better with the new recruits and we have the home field advantage, good luck next season in Baton Rouge, your gonna need it😂
Tua, Najee, Ruggs, Waddle, Jeudy, D. Smith, Surtain and Diggs at CD, sheeeeesh so much talent on that team, Burrow, Chase, Jefferson and Clyde pulled it off though
Watch the LSU right cornerback Stingley at 15:57, he gets caught looking to the sideline after the fake snap and gets burned, he will learn being a true freshman not to do that anymore. He will be the best CB LSU has ever had by the time he leaves school.
Michael Spruill It was actually a smart play by Alabama, they noticed that players check with the coaches to call the defense based on what the offense is showing, so technically it wasn’t Stingley getting burned. I promise you if he wasn’t caught looking, the result would have been different...
Congrats to LSU on the win! Hate to see Alabama loose this big game. LSU was keyed in and were not going to be denied a victory on this day. Bama shot themselves in the foot in several occasions but LSU owned this one. Eight years of frustration ended for those guys. I'm sure next year's game will be a dog fight.
37:58 what a play. "SHOESTRING CATCH BY HELAIRE!!!" that call sends fire up my spine. Such a pivotal moment. 3rd and 10 after Bama had a promising comeback on the rise.
I forgot how many big NFL names were in this game in addition to the two quarterbacks; Ja’mar Chase, Edwards-Helaire, Jalen Waddle, Justin Jefferson, Jerry Jeudy, DeVonta Smith, Najee Harris… so many guys who are having great NFL careers.
Jalen Waddle, Jamar Chase, and Justin freaking Jefferson in the same game. In COLLEGE. This had to have been one of if not the craziest year in CFB history. Edit: Didn't even realize DeVonta Smith was on Alabama too, what an insane Wide Receiver class.
LSU was a worthy winner in that crucial game. (47:02) Tagovaiola knows that Alabama, despite the defeat, gave it their all on the field and that is why he comforts his teammate.
All we heard about all year was how Bama had, unquestionably, the best WR corps in college football history. By year's end LSU's WR's had absolutely buried them statistically. And all but one of them come back this season - including the Belitnikov winner - with elite talent just waiting in the wings as well.
@@editnosmirc4489 About like expected, all things considered. When you replace an Offensive Coordinator AND a Defensive Coordinator in a year where there is no pre-season or warm-up games, lose 20 players to the NFL draft and THEN have future 1st rounders opting out over Covid, you're looking at an unprecedented rebuild. Looking forward to 2021 to get back there. So, uh... what exactly does that have to do with the 2019 LSU-Bama game?
Coming from a bama fan I hope it’s this close again next year. Those 2nd half beatings we put on them the last couple of years have gotten predictable.... also the burrow runs on 3rd down we’re a mood killer
46:22 That's what a man looks like that won't be denied. In years past we woulda ran 3 times and punted to sweat it out on Defense. This past year we wouldnt be denied. Looking forward to this season now
The unofficial national championship 2019-2020 between the GOATS in 21st century football vs the GOATS in 21st century sports (the only D1 with #1 picks and natties in all Big 3 sports, recent best streaks of champions in NFL and MLB, Wimbledon doubles #1 doubles player in the world, and the World 100M champion.
He's the worst announcer in CFB..notice on the Moss catch how he waffles back and forth when official hasn't made the call...changes his position on it twice, because he wants Bama to get it and is too stupid to know the rules about being forced out!! You got him figured out, bro!
To me what separates a good QB from a great one is knowing when to just throw the ball away? I mean sounds simple but no way it could be if you are good because if you are constantly are making great plays then I imagine you can't stop trying to always make a play! Mental toughness is basically exactly what a great QB has to have?
Gary Danielson: "I think Tua is starting to find his game". Right after that, a 3 and out and an interception. LSU leads 33-13. Danielson is the worst. Can't stand to listen to him. Such a Homer for Alabama.
Well that was a bad read by Tua, but more of great play by Queen, LSU LB. He will go very high in the NFL draft. Tua put up over 400 passing yards, so he did find his game.
