Today we check out a 2019 Maserati Ghibli SQ4!! Test driving the new 2019 Maserati Ghibli SQ4! This is the S model, which gives it the twin turbo 3.0 V6, and it's the Q4 with all wheel drive! Very luxurious car with premium leather interior and a high tech infotainment system. Stylish exterior with great lines and an aggressive front end. Love me some Maserati Haters...people so impressionable and easily led. Listening to some Doug DeMoron they get on here and hate on every Ghibli post like they are getting kickbacks for it...lol...This car has been so much fun and I regret nothing removing the C63 to make room for my S Q4 in my garage, much more refined and controlled...I did keep my BMW 5 Series though

2018 SQ4 - i am renting one and i am 6'1" and the interior is a little tight. Backseat is for children only. But, omg the sound is amazing the feel is amazing. This car just wants to take care of you and thrill you to 100mph+ It'll get your heartrate up and adrenaline pumping if you lay into the accellerator. I'm in love.

I’m second owner of mine and I got it for low and have had it for 2+years and have only spent money on brakes and oil change. Which is not bad at all I love driving it. I also drive a German car and it does not get the same head turns as this Maserati. I wonder why. Lol.

The car is a good daily driver, tons of trunk space, 4 passenger car, smooth car, 24 mpg with highway and some city driving, if you keep your foot out of it, or rock on fast as you need. Overall, a heavier, wider, car (2017 SQ4) compared to other sports cars I've owned, but the sound is tops and the styling and wow factor never get old. It's also rare in my city of 1 million plus, see maybe 2 or 3 in my travels just driving around. Lower control arms can be a pain, so be careful for that (bushings can wear out quickly on some cars), and try to get CPO if buying used. Just my thoughts after nearly a year of ownership.

For sure, buy it used at least 1-2 years in.. and save huge.. it will still drop about 2x a normal car, but know that going in, and you'll be ok. If you desire to resell, save some warranty, and get out quick.

Wait 1 year and buy one used with 5-10k miles on it. Then, you're looking at 50-55k vs 100k. I'm willing to overlook the "Crappy Chrysler" interior pieces and fit and finish for a beautiful sedan with a Ferrari engine in it.

@Matt Frazier Not really that common to see on the road, but you are 100% right about $30k range. But, at that price, no warranty, a few owners, and more risk. But, they do drop like a rock.. I can testify to that via owning one, so one has to think hard about that if money rules you more than emotion/passion. They are not a good investment, but with that said, if the newer ones have crappy non-Ferrari engines, who's to say they might not go up in price. I found out the pain of selling my NSX only to see it rise $25K in value about 10 years later, if one has that time to baby it and park it. Leasing is probably a decent option, or keeping it for the long haul, to see if they might become more rare. Just my thoughts. PS: I still miss my 99 Red NSX.. what a great car she was..

just putting money down on one today a dealer demo. however, the S Q4 I will get has a different cup holder. mine has little grooves and doesn't make it easy to hold a yeti or anything wider than a water bottle. I like the cup holders in this demo.

And it is not up-to-date, considering that since 2018 the Ghibli has been widely updated. Sharing parts is a common practice among large automotive groups and it's always been. Porsche and Lamborghini share VW parts. My Porsche and Audi "plastics" were of the same quality. That "Chrysler" is a typical, biased, hater comment.

When Maserati’s become reliable and get rid or find alternatives to the plastic and Chrysler infotainment system. Let’s be real Maserati will kick ass! I’m happy to see the improvements from the previous gen to now. Give it a few more years for sales to add up and I really feel the next gen Ghibli will be a hit! If these are reliable I would recommend just getting a used one so you don’t take such a hit on the depreciation. Just my two cents✌️

Just because it's a V6 doesnt mean anything. Ford GT, GT-R and NSX are V6 cars and they are some of the fastest cars out there! The Ghibli SQ4 is a super fast sedan rivaling the M3 and C63. M3 has a 6 cyl too

Old technology? Compared to your beloved Tesla, obviously. So, tell me you are not a hater. Facts: newer Ghibli models, since 2018, have all the technology features and ADAS that the competition has. Plus, the style and the exhaust note that have always been on top.
