2 other unique things I forgot to mention: 1. The Bullitt gauges go up to 180 mph because of the higher 163 mph top speed they have. Regular GTs have a 160 mph speedometer. 2. The gear indicator inside the tachometer is new on manual 2019s. 2018 automatics had it, but 2018 manuals only had a 4 digit RPM readout instead.
Honestly i am so happy to see that Matt got a car that makes him so happy. He seems so wholesome and has such a genuine love for cars and especially when he makes his base mustangs as close to bullitt. Most other car RU-vid’s buy the lambos and crazy stuff, but this is what Matt has always loved. He deserves this and it’s fun to see him getting it. Good job Matt
Hi Matt, I am in the UK and I drive a 67 mustang. I have been looking at something more practical to use in the British weather and I fell in love with the 08 Mustang Bullitt. When I saw your video of that car with your reaction when you accelerated, my mind was made so I imported one with 2000 miles on it. It’s like a new car and I love it. Best car I’ve ever owned and it gets much more attention than the 67. Thank you for making that video. Enjoy your dream car too, it’s awesome.
I LOVE that added flair of the boost/vacc guages lighting up in the same colour as your ambient lighting setting. Really brings the whole thing together. Can't wait to own a Mustang of my own 🤙
I would still go with the classic oldschool gauge cluster, if I wanted to keep the car forever. Classic never goes old, while the digital might look outdated in a few years in the ages of 3D holograms or whatever. But as a digital, this one looks to be quite a good design.

I'm kinda old school when it comes to preferring analog gauges, but, I really like how ford has designed their digital ones, they look super slick for sure

It's from the Bullitt soundtrack and should really be pre-loaded into all Ford Mustangs ESPECIALLY the Bullitt! You'll thank me later when you're creeping through the streets at night with the windows down. Combined with the V8 rumble, there's nothing like it!

Nope. I've ordered a 2019 and took delivery on Sept. 22, 2018 and mine reads 325 miles til empty but I'll be damned if I can actually get it to last that long........

Thanks for the tour, Matt. I'm envious you already have your Bullitt. I'm still waiting on the one I ordered. Can you give a review of the B & O Play sound system? Or does the whole copy righted music issue completely make that impossible? I used to compete in IASCA Sound Competitions and spent major money on audio systems. Is the B & O impressive as far as stage width and imaging? Is the subwoofer adequate? Is the spectral range of their 4-way system well balanced?
What type of oil does Ford recommend for the 2019 version of this motor..the same 5W-20 Motorcraft blended that was used in the 2017 5.0 ? Seeing how you plan on keeping this Mustang forever, will you stick to the ford recommendation or go to a different oil?
Right. I guess what I wasn't clear about is 17.7 mpg is good for that kind of car when it's new. I can imagine once the break in period is over he'll beat on it a bit.
DONT have the dealer fix that scratch. They will likely do a hack job and likely just make it worse. Go to a professional (like where you got your 1st mustang fixed from the motorcycle accident). It’ll cost you obviously but it will be worth it in the end.

I am looking at a 2018 GT Premium. It has this digital cluster but the entire speedometer is in KMH. You skipped over the part, like almost every other video, that I was hoping to see. Can you change the whole unit for the speedometer from KMH to MPH?
Hi Matt, new Bullitt fan here (I grew up in the UK so didn't have access to them until I emigrated last yr) and have loved your detailed videos. a Bullitt is definitely on my wish list even if I have to wait a couple of years, though I'm hoping to pick up a new one late in production. I responded on your thread on IMBOC about this video. Can you show more details for the shift light options sometime? I expect you have to wait until she's broken in :) Also, I understand you mentioned in another video why you decided to get a Bullitt over a GT350 but I couldn't find it, so in summary what were your reasons?
Was hoping this world be more like Audi’s virtual cockpit that allows more configuration and a great map/Navi screen. I think personally the bullitt would have been best served with retro gauges... outside of that it’s an awesome car. Congrats

Now I want a Bullitt more than ever (or 2013 Boss 302 still). So many nice features to get it really feeling like it belongs in 2019. Just out of my reach though...
Can the startup animation of the mustang be changed in color? I wanted to install a digital dash in my 17 Gt supercharged and like the higher mph but would like it even more if I could change the color of the mustang from green to red?
Hi Matt one question, I have 2018 gt with all option magna ride too but in digital cluster it won't show which mode is suspension in. I think it's connected to car modes sport normal track etc... Does your cluster show which mode suspension is in?
One of the main reason why I wanted a mustang is for the interior lighting. I believe it was the only car out of the challenger, Camaro, and mustang in 2015 that you could change the colors inside.
Very informative video. Almost exhausting trying to figure out all the electronic and settings. Due the price tag, I assume the highest percentage of sales will be from those in their 40's and 50's and 60's, but the bells and whistles are more geared to a younger tech crowd who for the most part won't be able to afford the Bullitt. In a car such as this one simplicity would have been a much better choice. I miss the days when all you needed was a key, analog gauges, a few push buttons, a manual transmission , the roar of the engine and the smell of burning rubber.....
The Bullitt is well worth considering in the UK as a regular manual GT with a custom pack, Recaros, Magnaride & in metallic paint is only £1800 less. The exclusivity is worth that small premium when spending £47-48k on a Mustang. I’ve just taken delivery of an orange fury manual GT with those extras as the Bullitt wasn’t available when I ordered in November 2017. Great cars though 😎
Steve Hines I'm interested in trying a manual. Apparently the clutch is lighter than in my 2016. The Bullitt looks cool without badges and those wheels.
I am running out of videos to watch on the Bullitt and I have 2.5 months to go (I believe) before I get mine. Life is hard. I wrote a script to continue on the myth of Steve McQueen. Hope to get Molly McQueen to star.
