In this video we will be looking at 2019 Mustang GT Premium with 401a Package. We will take an in-depth look at 401a package for Mustang GT premium for 2018 - 2020 Model year. This review will cover Ford Mustang GT Premium 401a Package mainly focusing on 2018-2020 model year, in my case a 2019 Mustang GT Premium.
This video we will look at an in-depth look at all the features 401a Package offers for your Mustang GT Premium or Ecoboost Premium with 401a and 201a Packages respectively. Some of the highlights of the features from 401a package is, Digital Dash, Navigation, Leather materials, FordPass app among many other unique features.
Most of the features are exclusive to 2018-2020 Mustang GT or Ecoboost Premium with 401a/201a Package. If you are looking for 2015-2017 Ford Mustang GT Premium with 401a package, then keep in mind that not all features will apply as most upgrades are exclusive to 2018+ Mustang GT Premium with 401a Package
The 401a Package in my opinion offers a great value for Mustang GT owners out there as it really makes the Mustang feel more premium. If you are already decided on Mustang GT Premium then shelling out few extra bucks is worth it given you get so many extra features.
Digital Dash alone makes the 401a Package worth it. The digital dash makes your mustang feel more luxurious and given most car manufacturers are putting some sort of digital cluster, it makes the Mustang future-proof as well.

I have been waiting to bite the bullet on a new mustang for a long time and am finding the same problems, in 2021, as you mentioned in the video in that most models with the 401a package come with PP1 or 2. The alternative is the GT but that only comes with the 301a at best. Dealers are also playing games up here in Ontario in the offers they advertise. Similar priced GT premiums can have different build items. I now have to carefully check the downloaded window stickers to ensure that I am comparing similar spec vehicles. It's a real pain in the butt.

Yup PP1/PP2 with premium or 401a package makes the mustang a bit too expensive. I’d look for Lightly used Shelby at that price tbh. Dealers are always trying to take advantage in my experience. I’d decided whether performance is top factor or nice amenities like the dash. Hope you get in a mustang soon!

I have a 2020 GT with PP 1 and I absolutely love it. Includes spoiler, a set of 19×9-inch front and 19×9.5 rear Ebony Black-painted aluminum wheels wrapped with 255/40R10 (front) and 275/40R19 (rear) summer tires, Brembo six-piston front brake calipers, heavy-duty front springs, a K-brace, a larger radiator, a strut-tower brace, a Torsen differential with 3.73 gears for manual transmission-equipped cars or 3.55 gears for automatics, unique stability control, EPAS, and ABS tuning, a larger rear sway bar, an engine-spun aluminum instrument panel, and a gauge pack. I don’t think you will be disappointed. To add all this later would cost 2 or 3 times more. Also is a great selling feature.

this is really informative so ima def hit the like on this but i’ve just fallen in love with the pp2 and i wasn’t sure if i would want the 401a package but i can see now i don’t really need much of it and i also agree with the floor mats because i upgraded mine to some all weather mats in my 2007 mustang and they really do give it a more premium feel when compared to the regular thin cloth mats

I am glad you found the video helpful! I agree that only big selling point of 401a is the digital dash, the rest I don't care for much but it's cool to have. PP2 is definitely a different monster and I am sure you will enjoy it. I actually came from a 2006 GT too so the new S550 mustangs will feel miles ahead in terms of tech and interior. Those m340 are quick! And of course more luxurious than the mustang. How we reliability and cool factor and not mention awesome V8 sound has to go to Mustang! Unless you need 4 door I’d go with mustang

I wanted to know exactly where all the leather was you said the leather was by the knees what part is leather what part is not I have the same 401a pack interior I also don’t have the active exhaust option in my gauge area do you know why? Even though I have the switches and everything else?

Chris Cruz The active exhaust is standalone option so you could have a fully loaded gt but not have active exhaust. As far as leather by knees it runs through center console. Is it 401a 2018+ car? I believe 2015-2017 didn’t have those touches

@@Automotiveonthedaily oh! Yeah that’s only because car isn’t turned on. When you press start once only instead of holding it goes in to acc mode which turns on electronic thus showing all warning lights. There’s no actual Check engine light. All cars do that. You can check my videos where I’m driving no CEL there

The active exhaust is separate and doesn’t come with 401a. You can actually get active exhaust even on 301a car doesn’t need to be premium

Does the 401a upgrade the stereo system to the b&o 12 speaker system?

It unfortunately does not. B&O is a separate option. Mine has the premium 9 speaker system. I have a review coming out on it so stay tuned

You can get them with just premium which is 400a so you don’t need 401a
