What's up? Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, new Chevy blazer, and Audi. Those are more expensive. Are those the ones you are comparing it too? These muranos depreciate quick. You should buy it at the closeout. That's how you bargain shop and still look like you spent some dough.
I liked the video as soon as it started. Hands down you all give the best car reviews. I always look forward to a new video, especially when it’s a car I’m interested in. Especially love when y’all give info on each trim of the model.
Nice objective review. I purchased a 2019 blue Murano Platinum trim. Did lots of research. Was set on the Murano since it was the best bang for the buck. Bought on clearance for a 20% discount which sweetened the deal. Since they are in less demand, you can really bargain. Added a 6 year 100,000 mile comprehensive warranty so I’m worry free. There’s no such thing as a cheap repair so I felt it was money well spent given the discount I got. I have owned two Nissan Sentras and a Nissan Altima and they were all good reliable cars. Absolutely love the Murano. Just a unique and stylish design. I think the wheels are the best looking out of any SUV. Seats and ride are very comfortable. You don’t buy the Murano for towing or off-roading. Is designed for street. Lower ground clearance than its competitors makes entry and exit easy, but you still enjoy the feel and safety of a bigger vehicle with sitting high but still great road manners. Quiet cabin. My wife is super picky and she loves this vehicle. Infiniti like experience for almost half the price. Plus there are not a lot of them out there so you stand out. Very happy so far.
I just got a 2020 Platinum - love it. Cross-shopped with the RDX, Edge, RX350, Sante Fe, Outback - and the Murano was my favorite, it was a bonus the incentives were so great. I can't stand the giant ipad like screens they throw on top of the dash of so many cars these days, or the all digital display like the Outback. I'm sure everything is going that way, but I'm just not a fan. Murano has a nice balance.
Dave V ditto Dave. I looked at RX350 and Acura RDX, but just couldn’t justify spending 10-20,000 more. Murano doesn’t have the name recognition or panache of the luxury brands, but it’s far and away the best value out there. Even a decent used RX was more than a new Murano.
Great video guys. I'm thinking about swapping out a 2016 Murano with the 2019 and wanted to see what if anything changed. You guys answered all my questions. Perhaps the only thing I would have changed was placing an older model side by side to more easily track the changes. As I was watching I thought to myself, you guys are the Siskel and Ebert of car reviews. Then I thought, no one under 30 years old knows who Siskel and Ebert are so let's just say the comparison is a compliment.
Toyota and Nissan are most unique and reliable brands out there, these are the brands that do not copy other brands designs and styling’s.Like lexus lc and Lexus lx 570.Also Lexus LS is no exception,it’s a rolling piece of art especially with kiriko glass trim in its interior.BTW I am first to comment.
Nissan isn’t very reliable anymore. Their CVTs are huge problem makers and the VC turbo is not ready for production to say the least. It all started when they merged with Renault
@@Jaymac720 well u should get a Nissan and see how good they are built. I live in Abu Dhabi and ppl prefer Toyota's and Nissan because they can withstand the heat well without them overheating all the time. My neighbour has a s class and a bmw x5 and is currently on the verge of getting a Lexus now
Jordan Catcher Honda doesn’t make reliable vehicles anymore, 15 to 16 CRV has vibration issue, 17 to present has oil dilution problem. I think Toyota is the most reliable vehicle brand.
Bought a 2018 MURANO SL Back in Feb and LOVE IT,Pearl White w Black Leather Interior,BOSE AUDIO,Heated Seats and Steering Wheel,Love the Manual Shift Mode,18 in Wheels and Tires
You guys do a great job of going through all of the details of the vehicle without fanfare. I bought this vehicle this weekend (Platinum) and learned a couple of new things from you. Thanks!!!
Oh hell yeah!!!! We don’t have them in our dealerships yet in the DC area and I figured I’d have to wait a couple months before seeing a review but I’m glad you guys are the first to review the 2019.
Basically the materials from the previous Platinum have moved down to the SL and the platinum has gotten an upgrade in materials. The 2019 has the same wheels and leather as my 2018 Platinum.
Hey, how do you like your Murano and does it really ride like a luxury vehicle? Also, how do you like the CVT transmission? I've always been concerned about that..thanks
Great review guys! I love the value of the Murano, especially getting a V6 for the price but can't get over the unreliable CVT in it. Plus, hey Nissan it's 2019, how about a steering wheel that is a little bit more up to date then the one from the 90s that you're still using??
A-men. You took the words right out of my mouth. Love the V6 mid size SUV that is stylish. Nissan has declining reliability and that steering wheel is the exact one that it is my 2007 Murano model. I am looking at the Honda Passport which is in the same price range and is also V6.
daryl g Nissan is known for unreliable CVT, my 2013 rogue had the Transmission problem at around 80000 miles which is out of warranty, stay out of Nissan CVT. 9 speed on pilot has been refreshed and refined in 2019 models.
I think it is possible of lasting like 300000 miles. I saw the last generation murano and one of them had close to 300000 miles on it. I think it would make a nice single person car or empty Nester. But I don't really see it as a family vehicle once you get past two children.
Great video guys!!! I love the 2019 Nissan Murano!! It's very nice looking!!! I love the 2019 Nissan Altima better!!!!! I can't wait for the review on the 2020 Toyota Camry and 2020 Toyota Corolla!!! I can't wait for y'all next video.
Thanks for the review. Very informative! I had a 1986 buick Lesabre and a 1996 Ford Thunderbird before I moved to Nissan. I have owned a 2001 Pathfinder, 2004 Pathfinder, 2007 Xterra, 2013 Pathfinder, 2016 Murano. None of my nissan's had any major mechanical problems....a lot of recalls, but no mechanical problems. Now my sister has a 2017 Altima that had to have the transmission replaced at 13,000 miles, which was insane! Of all of my nissans, I absolutely loved my 2013 Pathfinder and I love my 2016 Murano. Now my lease is up this yr and I am looking at the 2019 Maxima or Murano. Choices, choices :)
Good job guys 👍 but can you tell a little more in your review about safety features and technical safety like what platform , any high strength stel , crumble zones , how the cars score in crash test .For many people safety its first thing when buying car.
As of March 2024, this 2019 Murano is valued at $20,000 from Kelly Blue book. The 2013 Nissan Altima is valued at $7000 to $10,000 as of March 2024 That is just food for thought there.
Review is always on point. As for this vehicle, never really been a Murano fan, I always thought it was too bulky. Now, I still think it's too bulking and looks like a 7-pass space rocket. Lol!
John Toth strange thing about the auto wipers. The previous gen Murano had auto wipers on the top of the line model. It seems that the current gen Murano doesn’t even get them on the Platinum package now🙁
I own a 2011 Murano which I love. The interior (especially the infotainment unit) on this refreshed 2019 model looks quite dated appearing mostly unchanged from the 2015 model. Plus, I don’t understand Nissan’s decision to limit the radar cruise control and lane keep assist to the higher trims. Those features come standard on all 2019 Honda Civics which start under $20k.
Checked a Murano out. Seats are amazing. Two issues for me, steering wheel is old looking. Buttons are in strange places for your fingers. Also the gear shift is old school feeling no and looking. Need an up to date electronic shifter.
I would upgrade to this one this year but i have second thoughts because of the faulty transmission issues nissan has 😔 looks way better then the lexus rx 350 but i might just wait for the new 2020 lexus supposedly they are going to have apple play... NISSAN work on perfecting the transmission so i can go back buying vehicles from your brand
At 13min 15sec you mention that for 2019, the Murano does not have integrated navigation on the S and SV trims; integrated navigation is only offered with the SL and Platinum trims. I was thinking of getting a Murano SV (I absolutely don't want leather seats, which is obligatory with the SL and Platinum trims). But no integrated navigation would be a deal breaker for me. Are you certain the S and SV trims don't have integrated navigation - because that would be going back in time for Nissan?
Unfortunately that is the case. Nissan upgraded the navigation maps to their newest version this year, but they eliminated it from S and SV as standard equipment or optional. For the lower trims you can still use Apple or Google Maps through your phone though
Ruday I have a 2003 Nissan Murano with 121K miles. Any periodic repairs are affordable. I did replace the transmission three years ago, but that’s because I damaged it by putting in the wrong fluid based on a wrong recommendation. I will be buying another Murano in another 100K miles, if I absolutely need to. But it’s been wonderful so far!
@damien7232 did you ever get to the bottom of the issue you had with your Murano when it was running at 1000 rpm? I have a 2023 Murano and i experience the same issue you described and I took it to the dealer after owning it from new (and only 1 week since buying it). They advised me that it was totally normal and was to do with improving fuel economy… Anyway, I wasn’t convinced that the dealer was honest with me.
Nissan cars are nice and all. But there’s something just off about them. When you sit in one and really drive one you will feel that they handle safely but just don’t feel that there’s really much driving pleasure. Everything in the car every trim piece and every tech feature just feel like Nissan is just finishing the homework but not excelling at it. All the features are there, but they feel weird when you actually start using them day to day. I’ve rented a lot of Nissan’s on business trips they just do not feel as nice as the odd Honda’s or Mazda’s I get sometimes. The only type of vehicles that feel more cheaply built are FCA cars. But the 300 and the Charger beat Nissan in driving pleasure since they are rwd. Nissan’s cost cutting practices might just ruin the future of the organization.
No auto start stop is the number one reason that brought me to look at and no have decided to get a Murano. Almost other brands allow you to turn it off by a button but it has to be done each time u get in the car. Ridiculous!!!! I want to turn my car on and go, I decide when it turns off!!!! I hope Nissan keeps this feature off future cars.
Testing sound systems with an on camera microphone does not give a good representation of what each car sounds like even when listening through headphones. One has to experience it for themselves in person because they all sound unique, some significantly better than others across different frequency bands. Speaker placement, equalizer settings, and sound deadening all plays a major role in sound performance; that cannot be accurately shown with recording.
I would have bought one tell I found out it had a CTV transmission. Junk transmission. Back up camera is low resolution and it doesn't have a caples gas filler.
