2019 Pokémon World Championships: Pokémon TCG Senior Division Finals 

That's supposed to be the commentators jobs and if you REALLY pay attention you can pick up on some of the things that are going on but the players go so fast and the commentators usually just talking about the cards in play so they are usually to slow to state everything that's going down.

These aren’t really tutorial videos they’re just recordings of the matches you can find other videos that explain how to play the game

@@theshadowofawolf6563 The 2020 Season's senior division is anyone born in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. Worlds was 2019 so it was anyone born in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007. Usually you are a Master once at 16 years old.

I know the rules from playing the online game but I haven't got into the actual card game yet.

Very circumstantial question. The game is perpetually refreshed. New cards “rotate” out of the format on an annual basis. I’ve won national championships for this game and competed at world championships. Haven’t played for more than 5 years due to having kids, setting up businesses etc. If I watched this a week ago, I’d be lost. I put aside an hour or two and looked thru the current format cards and can now make out what is going on.

@@naishawn8660 i mean, girls never play on my local league and on worlds master division there were only few girls playing. on junior-senior is way more common, but still, they are a minority

@@wiredpenha3091 ok, to preface this, i dont think women are automatically bad at pkmn. Its probably cus there are less women playing and theres a lesser chance of a woman making it past qualifiers or into the finals, also i likely took the meaning of your first comment wrong which is why is stated that they were never held back from doing well

@@naishawn8660 yes, i completely agree with you, is the same case with e-sports, we don't see a lot of girls on the top level because the chance of one of them making is very low. And yes, i don't think they were ever held back from success in pokemon, because from what i experienced the ptcg community is super friendly and open to everybody.

anyway, let's just hope that ptcg grows even more!

What do you mean by “special cards”? And the cards are in sleeves, to use your deck in a tourney they must be in identical sleeves This for one prevents identification by any damage to the cards, and it also protects your cards from being ruined by anything that may get on them

She is 12 iirc. this is the "intermediate" Seniors division, where players are between 12 and 15.
