The Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT and Harvard offers an eight (8) week summer internship program for Harvard undergraduate students. The internships are held each year in July and August in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and offers three different options: (A) Basic Science Research in HIV-TB, (B) Clinical Research in HIV with an integrated poverty alleviation program, and (C) Operational Research in HIV-TB and health innovation with a non-profit organization. Summer interns will work under the mentorship of an MGH/Harvard/Ragon faculty member and gain skills working side-by-side with international and local South African investigators, graduate students and care providers.
