Another great informative vid. I think I need to just wait on you guys upgrading to the next RV and buy your current one after you finish all the upgrades! :)
May I ask !? How did you make the cushions? Are there any RU-vid videos of this or do you just buy them made ? I can sew 🧵 but idk if I can see that lol
Yes very functional with all that storage. The 400 amp is great except the summer time when we had to use the AC. Didn’t last more than 2.5 hours. So we are glad that we also have a generator on our AI19 that way we could use the AC much longer during the hot summer camping.
@@BamBamRVAdventures Didn't this model have auto start to replenish the batteries? Wouldn't that be enough for the a/c during the night? Just found your site and like how you customized this van. Hope you have some SRT videos on here. I'm bing watching your channel. I have considered both of these vans but the Airstream now has Volta which makes it perfect but the SRT price is better on my heart, lol. I was considering the SRT but then Roadtrek went under...the new one's look good but I still prefer more lithium.
@@stephenstringer3689 Hi Stephen, thank you for watching. We did used the Volt start when the AC was turned off when the battery ran out. The problem with Vol start is it doesn’t really supply enough power to sustain the AC. It only runs for 1/2 hour then turn off and it does that for a few cycles only. I am afraid it is not good to have the engine on like that for a few hours. Lol. And even with that it doesn’t generate enough power in the lithium batteries to use the AC for more than another hour. Ideally it would be really nice to have 1000 amps lithium batteries. 🤗So the new Airstream AI19 with E1 package a is very nice option to have but at a cost of $25K. I love the abundant storage space of the SRT, bigger freezer , wider galley, the mirrors by the bathroom doors. The price point is much better than the Airstream. If you look at the small details like the build qualities then Airstream is better but if you are not that particular about details then SRT looks very good. Our friends had some part replaced in AC, leaked sink, and they just replaced the broken inverter to 3000 watts inverter. Things do break down in RVs so even for the more expensive brand like Airstream will have the same components that will break down too. Just like buying a car, we could buy a Toyota that will serve us well but then we would buy a Mercedes just because…..of finer things in life. We don’t really need it. Lol
@@BamBamRVAdventures So good to hear from actual owners instead of dealers. I think they misrepresent the value of the autostart. Very disappointing since a generator is not optional. Thanks for the reply!
Hi David. I haven’t bought them yet but here is the link. I am sure they will fit our Airstream lagun table too. www.amazon.com/dp/B07CKM3K3Q/ref=cm_sw_r_sm_apan_glt_i_84Z72FJ05DTMSKJZ24TT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
