@@bpraise517 Actually I didn't - the original poster insinuated that a female was meeting a competitive standard equal to the males, and clearly wasn't. Therefore, I'm going to call the bogus statement as BS...which it is.
Dan A. And his work ethic, 365 days a year training, competitive nature, commitment to total wellbeing, winners mindset etc. But nice try at an attempt to chalk his success up to being short?! He demolishes everybody at pretty much everything, including things that suit taller athletes. But yea, being short helps 🙄
Awesome awesome great stuff great stuff I thoroughly thoroughly enjoy watching these amazing athletic competitions and thank you for sharing and producing... Happy workouts for Virginia Beach, Kyle
Whoa, I feel that the difficulty of a handstand pushup is very related to your body geometry, depending how far you'll need to go down before your head touches the box. See the big difference @6:12 and her competitor @6:24... A much heavier position to push up from.
Tom R Definitely but there’s discrepancies in every event and every sport for that matter. Being short can be great but then remember last games where Vellner didn’t even have to jump and Fraser had to jump really high to tap a bar during an event.
@@tjcogger1974 Hmmm, are you serious? That is not the only competition they do. I have a different view about endurance then you do. Do you consider this an endurance competition because they are running against the clock?
@@Hour882Die I know it's not the only competition they do. But you responded to a comment about this specific event. And you don't need steroids for this event. I consider this endurance because they are lifting at very low intensity and extremely high volume for an extended period of time.
Body composition definitely matters in all events. Mat's arms are much shorter than someone like Vellner. That's why Kari Pearce is also very good at HSPUs. But bigger athletes should have advantages with things like stride length and weights. That being said Mats competitive drive, engine and work ethic is unmatched.
Besides the Rogue Invitational in the video there is second competition happening in the comments: The Jealous Seething Bitter Loser Whiner Invitational.
@@Mani_Matter Your insecurities are showing, lol. Why are you here? Dude thinks you stick a needle in you, and you can automatically do this shit, lol.
Does the average avid troll even know what a #100 db feels like, or even a #70 for the matter? When I was younger I thought I was doing something special by lifting 100s off the rack, backing up to a bench, lie down and press out 8 reps, bring them down to my knees, stand up and farmer carry them back to the rack, all without ever dropping them to the floor. These girls are doing single arm snatches for 60 reps total, plus the HS pushups plus the time cap. Damned incredible I'd say! At my current fitness level I 'd dare say I could do the same with #50, not including the HS pushup(I might get one or two, but certainly not 27)
Trt/Test, Hgh, and Epo are the choice of these people. Remember even if they are drug tested does not mean they are all drug free. Crossfit does not do panel work on all athletes before the games.
22:00 how come an athlete like Laura Horvath, 2nd in the crossfit games, can't do strict parallette HSPU? Even I can do it, and I'm just an average guy who trains crossfit 4-5 hours/week. It bothers me so much because I'm pretty sure she is better than me at everything that is crossfit related.
El acrilico transparente donde hacen la parada de manos con flexion de codos... no permite que los atletas realicen un ejercicios fluido... en el video se ve que los zapatos de frenan en el acrilico transparente
This is not purely crossfit though. It is an invitational for an event. Sort of how there are deadlift-only competitions and bench-only competitions. This format is actually way more promising than the mess that is the Official Crossfit Games. I am seeing all kinds of fun competitions coming out of Russia which are just way more fun to watch than crossfit ... less competitors, only one day of competition, better complexes than typical crossfit shit show like biking on a bike provided by the event organizers which breaks and you cannot compete ...
It's just crossfit fam. Most professional male crossfit athletes can barely deadlift 500lbs. Frasers 1rm is just north of 500. And they're heavy steroid users. Nowhere near elite lifts. Nobody is angry lol.
I mean I'm blown away by the athleticism, but they should just call it the roid invitational because clearly performance-enhancing pharmaceuticals are heavily heavily at work for a large number of the participants. it'll be interesting to see the illness rates in some of these athletes in 10 and 15 years in terms of survival and physical outcomes from what they're doing, just because you're strong and fast in the competition you've entered while training and still young doesn't mean your body and cells will survive the chemical inputs you've used in order to achieve that outcome in the long run..
@christopher hanna How do you know they are on steroids? Have you tested them? What is your rigorous criteria for your assessment? Have you studied elite athletes and their recovery times to ascertain the limits of natural work capacity? If not, what you are doing is called expressing an opinion as a truth... which is groundless due to its lack of verification.
Mikko Salo, Chris Spealler, Jason Khalipa, Sam Brigs, Annie Thorisdottir, Rich Froning.. they have 10 or 10+ years at crossfit and still train even competing (annie, sam, froning)
CrossFit realized their trend is going down and want to ride the powerlifting and strongmen success. It’s a good business move but scratch out the CrossFit name out completely.
