Surprisingly, the Wake Pro has tremendous success with wake skaters. (We just like towing the kids around.)

Oh, that's a toughie. Personally, the Wake Pro 230 is a blast and just racked full of features. If you're on the fence, lean towards the 230.

Been looking at WP230 and the Yamaha VX Cruiser HO (I know apples to oranges) I really like the bells and whistles on the Sea-Doo but the super chargers scare me a bit (for reliability) had a sc Mini Cooper once it was total pain in the a$$. this will be my first PWC just want to cruise a bit with my lady and do a bit of skiing nothing to hardcore. Love your videos they have been really helpful I have learned a ton watching them.

TShull well you’re definitely looking at two very different machines; if the added maintenance of a supercharged ski is a deterrent but want something smartly equipped and stable, maybe Yamaha’s larger FX HO would be a better option?

kevin i really love to watch the watercraft journal videoes , i am a die hard yamaha fan but i would like to be able to have a small cooler or a place for a small gas can for a long ride, i am going to do an upgrade this fall when i get my fx ho serviced what would you recommend far as upgrade for the buck.?

Marty Martin you can pick up a rack from Kool PWC Stuff that is super sturdy and requires zero drilling. The FX Yamahas can also fit a cooler in the front bin!

The extended FishPro platform? No because it’s a far more extensive project than it initially appears. We don’t recommend it.

Frankly, we've just towed the kids on a raft with it. The pylon works well and the variable speed settings make for easy use and mild acceleration.

Im deciding between a 155/170 or 230 but fuel consumption is a big factor for me. Whats the fuel consumption differences in these models? Im also looking at the GTI line up.

The GTI 130 and 170 are near identical (although we don't have mpg rates), so the 170 is the best bang for your buck. The 230 will definitely drain the tank faster.

Hi, my son has a 2019 GTX 230 and I want to install a fish finder, (use the one from my boat when I'm not on the boat), I have the multiple acc harness p/n 278003684, how do I install it?

That's a far bigger job than just a USB charger port. You're going to need to do more research - start by getting the original wiring diagram from Sea-Doo.

109 dollar usb port. They are 20 dollars on amazon for a marine rated one. Quite the markup.

DrGopta understand that these unlicensed kits will not plug in to the factory harness like the BRP kit.

The Watercraft Journal understood, I am electronics engineer so I always assume anyone can wire it up. But really after seeing all the wire it comes with and the plug and play connectors it is a reasonable price for the ease of install for the average person. Cheers, have s nice weekend.
