I think it looks cool, the design is really nice and for someone growing up and looking movies like Top Gun and Black Rain it makes me want to buy one.
I love most stylings from the 80s so I like how the bike looks but it could use a few tweaks, I like an exposed rear tire for one and I would also put lower handlebars on it but that's just me. I can understand why people aren't very receptive to the styling but props for them trying to bring back one of my favorites.
You say that the seat becomes uncomfortable after 150-180 kilometers... well, after 150 kilometers or maybe a little bit more, you have to refuel, so... 😅😄😇 You’re doing a great job on the channel, I enjoy every video! Drumuri bune și uscate Bogdănel(cum îți spune Cristi mai mereu!😜), na că aproape mi-a ieșit și rima! 😎
Good review of Katana ..it's Ergonomics looks Stylish and different from other Models . Seating Posture is Straight iinspite of its Bumpy front which can be used for Daily Commuting
12ltr tanks kill's it for me, I'd probably consider this if it had more range. Personally, I think it looks great. May look at the GSXS 1000f as it ticks the boxes this doesn't. (except I'm not sure I could live with the looks of the GSXS)
I would prefer the round headlight, Honda CB 1000 R is much better looking. Suzuki took a big risk by going square headlight which is not going to pay off. The GSX S1000 with transformer( dated) headlight looks better thank Katana.
I love the looks of the bike but it's impractical for a guy like me who likes to tour but also love sport bikes. The tiny tank would have a person fueling up way too often, and probably leave me nervous about finding a filling station in time. In all honesty I'd have rather they remade the big Katana from the late '80's and early '90's that was a sport touring bike that was also available with factory luggage. Where Yamaha and Kawasaki both have a Sport Touring model available it's a area that Suzuki really has nothing to offer.
It looks ok but to me it looks more like a bandit than a katana.. the 98-06 design with smaller fairings, aluminum frame, busa tail, fuel injection, and the newer cluster would’ve been perfect.
Another wonderful video I'm just can say this.... If every single scooter costing $1500 on the face of the earth can come with an LED headlight when will these ridiculous motorcycle companies realize that it isn't a luxury item to have an LED headlight, but it is a necessity. Find a way to hide $200 on the sticker price and give us a headlight so we can live. That headlight is hideous and the fact that it is not LED, ridiculous
Greg Savel agree completely. I have an s1000r and find it odd that such an expensive and technologically complex bike has halogen globes, and it is difficult to fit leds and not have error codes - so the best I can do is put in whiter brighter halogen globes which ARE vastly better than the OEM globes but not as bright as what you see on most bikes.
The safety issue is not just the increased visibility, it is also the reliability of the light. I have had two low beam globes burn out in 25000km/18 months, and this week had to ride home from work 100km in the dark alternating between the parking light and hi beam. I suspect the trip to work, in the day, was partly without low beam. A critical safety failing. Hoping the new s1000r, based on the new s1000rr engine, has led lights as the RR has, as it will be an easy decision to upgrade.
It’s hard. I iced and breathed Suzuki. Loved Japanese machines and then the S1KRR came along and I’ve never looked back since. I still think the Katana is a nice looking machine and if rich is not a problem, I’d love it but with only funds for one…
It looks good in black but for that money I've got better options 👍 Shame about no quickshifter and stupid gas tank size Poor Suzuki that can't get anything right lately
