2019 was a roller coaster of a season for the Tennessee Titans. They got off to a 2-4 start and benched Marcus Mariota in favor of Ryan Tannehill. Along with the NFL rushing leader Derrick Henry, the QB change created a huge spark for the team, which led to a 7-3 run to end the regular season with a playoff berth. The Titans would fall one win shy of the Super Bowl. Take another ride through the roller coaster of the 2019 Tennessee Titans.

Obviously the season ended short one game of the Super Bowl, but I like seeing these videos. Tennessee really did have a great season all things considered. Tannehill took over when Tennessee was 2-4 and led them to the AFC championship game, Henry led the league in rushing, the team knocked both New England and Baltimore out of the playoffs (on the road, I may add), and overall had a season that made Titans fans proud. That's success in my book.

@@lgrw9883 I think of it as, yes it was an amazing year, but can he do it for 16 games and lead us to the playoffs? He had nothing to lose before, and everything to prove, now the stakes are higher because he needs to prove he can be a true top 10 QB for a full season while staying healthy. I believe in him, but my question is will the pressure make or break him this season

I really think J-Rob screwed up big time if you look back. And look at the 2019 season it will upset you in 2024. They had a line even with the room for improvement to setup the future. The had a young core of guy's on the offensive side of this team. That's when Tannehill was at his best especially with Arthur Smith running the offense. Corey Davis AJ Brown John Smith Derrick Henry Tajae Sharpe and more. All J-Rob had to do was keep this young core together. Then allow the young pup's on the Defensive side to develop. To fill in when it's time for the vet to step down. Mike Vrabel was a decent coach but ain't know way you tell everyone is gone. And this is Derrick Henry free agent year crazy straight up crazy. They scored damn near 30 points a game they was just getting started. Just my opinion that's all who am I to say anything🤔

They should've tried to sign Tom Brady that 2020 off-season instead of giving Tannehill the bag. I agree with you for the most part but at the end of the day, I don't think tannehill was ever gonna be the QB to get the team to the championship. Right, wrong, or indifferent he never won a playoff game that Derrick Henry didn't take over. We needed him to make 1 or 2 big time plays in that AFC championship game and he couldn't do it. The next year they go up 10 against the Ravens and couldn't hold the lead once they locked Henry up. And then he threw that terrible pick at the end of the game trying to force it to Kalif Raymond. And the next year is the notorious Bengals collapse. He definitely helped keep this team competitive, I'll always give him his credit. But he wasn't a difference maker, the whole offense needed to hum for Tanny to produce.

I feel bad for my man #26 on the jags d. In one quarter gave up a TD pass to a Tackle. Next drive gets stiff armed for 50 yards by Henry. Then get pancaked by Davis on Browns TD. He was probably ready for a beer and a laydown after that 3rd quarter.

I can't believe you benched Marcus Mariota; someone needs their head examined. I think Marcus is the greatest athlete of his time. However, going to the Atlantia Falcons you will get your nose rubbed in it, then I will comment "I told you so"!
