It sounds like a basic vehicle, older technology. And being a Toyota, if it can be driven in a cost-effective manner, will last a long time. And when selling, it has some worth. Thanks.
@@Shane23Armada She lives in another state. Gas is really cheap there. So she never complained about fueling cost. It's got only 100k miles on it, she doesn't drive much. It's V8 AWD SUV. I guess mpg is not gonna be much different than your Armada. They're designed to do heavy towing, off road, or blizzard winter.
Not everything that's new is good, and not everything that's old is bad. Wish more new cars on the market today subscribed to the KISS principle like the Sequoia does.
Nothing but electrical problems from Chevy Tahoe’s even the new ones... I’d take one of these sequoias any day because they are reliable an not be broken Down all the time
Old school definitely has some advantages. I have a 5.7 V8 SUV too. But mine is a ‘96 Suburban, which I bought new 23 years ago. It has rear wheel drive and cloth seats for much better reliability and wear, the spare tire is inside (unlike new ones) to stay clean and allow for bigger 42 gallon gas tank. Even the paint still looks much better than I see on much newer models.
I have a '02 Sequoia with 300k miles. Everything works. No squeaks. Engine has never been apart. Nothing is falling off. It just needs an Unleaded Anonymous intervention.
I have a 2018 Sequoia Limited 4x4 and average around 14-15 city and 16-17 highway. My brother just bought a 2023 Sequoia for his family and his mpg is not much better. I told him to buy a 2nd gen used but wanted to spend $75,000 and get barely better mpg. Toyota really screwed up the new Sequoia and the new Tundra.
@@chadhaire1711 I think in your VW Golf video you also mentioned standard emergency brake. I have watched other reviewers focus on soft touch materials in the same way. Either way, it's your review, but I find it interesting the focus of different reviewers.
my worst nightmare is the electronic e brake failing to disengage. The gears that pull the ebrake cables on some bmws are plastic from what I understand and can get chewed up soon.
Scotty knows how to fix cars, but knows nothing else about cars, and most of his videos are now click bait. I used to watch him, but just can't anymore.
chad haire Fine if you can afford it.I can’t. 😂 These companies are profiting more on finances than selling the actual car.I want you talk more about the stupid payments. 70 percent of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.Average American pays $500 monthly on the damn car payment. Government likes it’s people poor to control them easier. Please attack the manufacturers are prices more frequently specially on the extra options like heating steering wheel. How we got there?Oh god
