For anyone that has one of these, here is a little known trick of these trucks that I just LOVE. When you put the car in reverse, you can adjust the mirrors for reverse. I have it tilt mine in and down so I can actually SEE the rear tires when I'm backing up. When you take it out of reverse they will go back to where they were. Remember, you have to leave the mirror adjustment knob to either left or right for this to work. If you set it to OFF, the truck won't be able to move the mirrors. Enjoy.

It technically can be removed but then there are exposed brackets and it looks unfinished. It wasn't designed to be removed and stowed in that sense, but yes you can remove it and could come up with your own solution to "trim out" that area.
