Old Hondas do as well but not like this. Hondas actually have a descent lower sound when you get up to 40 60MPH where posted. This one seemed a bit louder, yet he was driving like he was late for work. Stay well.
Thats why I prefer Subaru with CVT. Boxer engines sound great all the time and liked to be revved, thats how they work. This engine is smooth but lacks character, that's why some say its boomy.
@@LocalDawn I’m sorry that’s not what I meant, he’s driving it like a sports car, he’s not using the electric motor at all, maybe he’s not ruining the vehicle but he’s destroying the concept of hybrid car. Those big acceleration combined with sharp braking make no sense. (however the battery is not happy with being used that way)
Sounds like it would be. Needs more dynomat or whatever car manufactures use for standards. I kinda like the car for simple reasons but I would have to turn the radio up to kill engine noise. This video I actually liked because you can literally just hear the car get up to par speed on roads like this.
Although it says Toyota, this little beauty is really a Mazda 2. This little guy reminds me so much of the 1977 Honda Civic 1200cc we owned way back then. Can't wait for it's release here in NYC in September 2020. I hope it's an AWD. It's gonna be my next car!
That's a good question, since this was about accelerating, and in the city there's more of it for work and or mini vacation to mountains or ocean drive.
@@Julie-jq1sy City driving it runs on electricity alone mostly of driven carefully. Town driving is around 70mpg, highway about 50-60mpg driving gently.
Do you remember what your mpg was during this drive? Roughly? I took a test drive on one of these last winter, drove enthusiastically and averaged 12l/100 km. Now trying to figure out if this was normal or something was wrong with the car I was driving.
Always just indicate and then turn is less cognitive load than searching for any observer who will see me indicating, evaluating is it worth turning on indicator, if it is then turn on indicator and only then turning.
It seems that way on video but in reality its quite OK. Its not a race car, by any stretch of imagination, but decent city car to get around. I drive it personally and I am more than satisfied. Quietness and fuel consumption (better say, lack of) is excellent, you should try it before judging it
Another impatient driver. And no need to swear either. Roads are filled with speeding drivers but it makes me laugh now because of ridiculous petrol prices, the faster they go, the more its costing them. A lot more hahahaha
