These menus, are simple but filling and tasty. Most pasta meals are. Components look good, but the bread sticks I taste for 2 days, LOL. The cobblers have A good taste. I am always happy when I get one in A ration. Great job at mixing and matching components. Cool ration and review. Peace, John. Glad you enjoyed.
You only put your main meal in at a time. If it starts going strong, then toss in something else, but you have to wait until the first meal starts heating. I hate strawberry cobbler crap i gave that away to my buddies! When i was in the Marines 1987-1991, we didn't have heaters. We heated our stuff up on motors, engines, and generators. Or a snall heater from my canteens. You get issued 2 canteens, one heater, one cup, cover, and a small heater. Great show and well done video.
Fantastic review Jerms!!! Excellent choice on combining your components for a volcanic flavour eruption!!! Love your reviews keep unaliving it and your gonna hit 1k soon brotha 💪😈
I'd love to say I came up with it but it is stock music that comes with the editing software I use. Glad you liked the video! I appreciate you watching!
Very nice Jerms. I dragged one of these out of my stash, and gonna give it a try. I just wish I could have a puff of one those nice Newport cigs you have in the background to finish the meal, ha ha
@@jermsMRE no problemo. I can come up with a funny one from time to time. I must say that stick was different vs the jerky strips that I would put in when I worked for Jack Links.
Fun fact: Sopakco is a word mash for "SOuth carolina PAcKaging COmpany". Established in the 1950's. The weird spelling is from the anagram. And it is good to see you have learned! DO NOT OVERFILL! The FRHs can be very finicky depending on exactly how old they are. But they never heat right with too much water. Adding salt to the water mixture definitely helps, but is no guarantee. With those FRHs, less water and more salt is best. Basically, if the ration is less than 5 years old, it goes from cold water to boiling in 10 seconds flat! No joke! I literally burned my fingers shaking up a new MRE FRH after activating it. It is incredible how much age degrades the heater. Anything older than 5 years old will heat up, but slowly. And an FRH older than 10 years old does not heat up at all. Gotta boil the pouch in water or pour it out in a pan and use a fuel tablet stove. Aaaaanyway, I have found that the meatballs in this menu do in fact taste like frozen meatballs. Think a Banquet meal. It tastes heavily processed. BTW, the meatball MRE I tried had meatballs that were MUCH larger and were fewer in number than what you got. That must be a change in the MRE over time.
Agree about the FRH's. The ones that come in a package seem to work the best for whatever reason. Foreign ones seem better as well. Thanks for watching Cork! I appreciate it!
