This trailer we used to rent on Outdoorsy and RVShare. We recently sold the trailer but I'm leaving this videos up and available for people to learn how to use this trailer or something similar. This was a great trailer to rent and if you have a popup trailer it could potentially be profitable. These are popular to rent due to the fact that so many vehicles can tow them.
Happy Camping!

Watching you with that awning, I was like, Dang, there's gotta be an easier way!

Thanks for sharing! I have the same awing, set it up for the first time today and yes it is very cumbersome. 😁😁

On the plus side the more you set it up and take it down it does get easier. Enjoy your camper!

Thanks for showing that it takes patience to put these up. I don't have your kind of patience 😂. I would have ripped that thing down and gave my wife an umbrella and said "Here, hold this. Leave me alone🤬. It would have been a long walk home for me🚶.

Thanks for taking the time to shoot this video and Part 1. I'm picking up my nearly brand new 2021 2108ST next week, so this is REALLY good info.

Thanks your video helped. I think I would rather do the horizonal first before while the pop up is mid way up though.

Would it be beneficial to add 2 guy lines out from the top front corners, stretch those out to the sides and into the ground, and thus reinforce the entire awning? But I suppose from an engineer's perspective (that's my son, not me), it might be better to lose the awning altogether than risk the entire camper making like The Flying Nun, if winds got too fierce. Might be better to put a wind chime on them and get busy if they get too lively. But I really like what you said in Part 1 about keeping an eye and ear out for weather forecasts. When it doubt, stay close to camp and hunker down.

If you're careful with how you put it away the last time you use it it's generally not too bad. For instance, instead of pushing the poles all the way back in leave them out just a little and twist them to tighten them, then they won't fall out. This was totally unscripted, I didn't expect this, but it's a great video to show what could happen so I decided to keep it, my wife said we should redo it, but I think this is really good. Careful planning taking it down and two people who know how it works would make it much easier. The two guy lines on top is really needed, there's really no way in a heavy wind that the stakes at the bottom will hold. The only other weak point is at the camper itself. The awning is just attached to the camper with a heaving plastic bead going through a channel attached to the camper. I would think it a real heavy wind worse case it comes out of that channel, but if it pulls the channel off the camper then it wrecks the camper. These are really nice campers, enjoy yours!! One other thing, the end beds are self supporting, you MUST fully extend the beds, lock them in position and get the canvas wrapped around it BEFORE you get on the bed. If not you'll be replacing bent rails.

@@kevingrabow3367 Hi. Thanks for replying. I agree with you. It's good for viewers to see the Real Deal sometimes instead of the 3rd or 4th take where it went smoothly. (Believe me...I make lots of software how-to videos for other faculty and students. They need to see my missed clicks and fat-fingering to avoid mistakes themselves!) I remember you mentioning the bead, which was a surprise. It's amazing that at some of the most critical break points, designers choose plastic. Way to nickel-and-dime their customers.

@@kevingrabow3367 Thanks for the tips on the end bunks and getting those poles right. Since I'll be camping solo most of the time, unless my Corgi with his cute but tiny little legs can help with those poles, I'll probably bring the 10x10 Coleman screen room as the awning/shelter. Nice little unit, until it rains. Then it's useless. My new Viking (by Coachmen) has the aircraft cables and Lock'n'Click design. So the 'click!' will be the audible to listen to to make sure the bunk ends are locked in. I owned 2 popups back in the 90s when the kids were young. So I'm really looking forward getting off the ground yet still being "out there" with nature. Thanks! See you out there!
