The 2019 VoltBike Urban is an ultra-affordable folding electric bike sold online from Canada, comes with a full range of accessories including lights, fenders and a rear carry rack. Available in black or white but only one size, you get six gears with a basic Shimano Tourney derailleur and over sized thumb shifter. Larger 2.125” tires and a very basic suspension fork soften the ride, standard saddle and ergonomic grips further improve comfort. No puncture protection or reflective sidewalls in the tire upgrades, the throttle is always live when the bike is on, and adjusting the telescoping stem too high and making tight turns could strain the wire connections.

Like GR55 I would like to see you review the Lectric XP. It has a lot of the features of more expensive fat tire folding e-bikes. It does lack front suspension, but it looks like a solid bike for the introductory price right now.

Update; Over 3 months and 500 miles later, I LOVE the Lectric XP! A few upgrades are in order but overall the best bang for the buck. For those interested join the facebook group >> LECTRIC eBIKES XP Owners Group, for MUCH necessary info.

@@muserwood they need to do better on the shipping taking too long to get my bike they send me a tracking number and everytime I check it FedEx keep telling me they haven't received the package as yet and that's from last week Friday

@@dancehallrock8390, I'm in an XP Owners Group on Facebook, and everyone seems to agree that their customer service is outstanding. So if they say the 'shipper" is the problem, I believe them. Patience, it will be worth it.

They don't review for free. A company has to pay them to have a bike reviewed. For that reason, budget bike companies are not featured on their site. And the bikes that are featured are all reviewed positively (or negatives are mentioned "between the lines").

Available in July according to Volts site but no word yet about pre orders. A good,thorough yet not gushing review of a folder that looks good for short to medium commutes . Compares favorably to other lower cost offerings from Ness,Qualisports,Magnum,Blix,Sondors,etc. This review has been around for a while on EBRs site. Latest on the Volt site is that pre orders will be starting in late July. Deliveries will happen in August.

I have the lectric xp fat tire ebike. And everything is almost identical from the frame, brakes, pedals, rack, seat adjustment, and steering adjustment. Minus the fork suspension , the xp has a five hundred watt motor and a top speed of 28 mph . Also has a seven gear changer on it. And it is two hundred dollars less. The xp rocks it's awsome!. But it is a lot heavier.

Why this review now in June 2019, when it was recorded in the winter? I'm surprised at how it is so similar to the Lectric XP, same everything except for a few tiny differences. The Lectric XP is superior with 500 watt motor and 7 speed derailleur, and $200 cheaper.

Totally agree with Chuck. However, the only plus on this Volt bike is that it might be slightly lighter in weight, and does have a suspension fork. Other than that, the Lectric XP is superior and less expensive.

Cool... But what's the weight limit/cargo limit. Seems most bikes with this frame style all claim 220lbs. I can't find it..

I think I have this bike but the rear light wasn't included for me. Suspension isn't as great as an NCM and I wish I could upgrade the battery.

In case you don't know. Voltbike is a reseller of a Chinese factory. They don't design anything beside the logo. This is not how you through a wheel. They probably never did it and just pretended to have a team of bikes mechanics for the Video. That being said, the Chinese factory (lohas vehicule) is a good company and they make great bike for the price.

i have bought two Volt bikes and they do have three mechanics - George is a man of integrity and they do everything you saw on video design upgrades [ " This is not how you 'through ' a wheel " wth does that mean ! ] and checking and tightening spokes IS a one of the things you do to TRUE a wheel - so go back to your unwarranted criticism closet and take your dark cloud with you.

I am looking at a review of the Lectric Bike. It looks so similar to this one, the rack and the fenders and the frame all the same. One difference is the Lectric is a fat tire bike, 4" tires.

The Lectric does not have the chainring guard, but the cables in front are wrapped much better. And the price is $900.

Seems you are re- reviewing many bikes and completely ignoring others. The Veego Semì-Fat needs to be reviewed because 1, it has never been reviewed, 2, it is a better value and 3, it is less expensive. Same story with the Veego 750, another ignored product.

Court travels all over the country. He does this on his own time and I'm sure he use a lot of his money to travel. Give the man a break. Go to the Electric Bike Review website, check RU-vid daily for updates and be patient.

@@jochosen3969 Have been waiting 3 years for the RideScoozy folks (JASON) in Florida to get their fair share of the EBIKE limelight from "fair and unbiased" Court who seems obviously to be showing partiality for his friends because he keeps up with THEM over n over n over. So it is not balanced, fair, nor impartial. I'm from Texas and when we see bullshit we call it! Your opinion may vary but Court is capable of explaining his error in judgement all on his own.

I ordered a lectric xp and it was taking forever. The price with exchange and shipping was 1576. There would also be a duty charge when it arrives plus GST. I cancelled my order and ordered this bike. My cost including tax was $1510.00. I like the fact it has shocks and prefer that the tire is not as fat. Being a it lighter is also good. It would be nice to have a 500watt option.

I wish these people that are selling these bike is right here on Indianapolis Indiana on the southside of Southern Plaza around the corner from Kroger's cuz there used to be a Marshalls there that's a big empty building now and I wished it was sell this type of scooter and all other types of electric scooters that would be cool for people that can't go to a certain place to get one they can go do the old building a Marshalls it's a 4202 South East Street Indianapolis Indiana and I like the idea that you're crate more stuff for the scooters make them better and that's a good thing there wasn't one type of scooter that I was looking at and it was all in one and it folds up and it's like a square after it's all folded up and kick me out of the corner I really like that one too but I can't seem to find it on RU-vid channel cuz I really need to get some kind of bear transportation and still keep my regular exercise bike when I'm riding outside on nice days I wish they also make the scooters that can go in snow bad weather end up wish you could take these and carry him inside grocery stores or doctor's office that way you're not outside leaving it change up you can take it in with you that's the other scooter that was trying to find back can't seem to find that screwed well I like this video but I don't have enough money to get these type of scooters see what I'm saying Montel meantime have a blessed day

Good review, sad to see that the only upgrades on the 2019 from my 2018 is just the integrated back light and integrated bell. Also please stop posting the same video of the inside over and over again. It truly devalues your video. It's my first time criticizing your videos. It feels like you are advertising them rather than reviewing. Thank you for your hard work.
