For the last car on Volvo Week, I bring to you the 2019 Volvo S60 T6 AWD R-Design. This all-new sedan is the last car in Volvo's lineup to be updated under their new Chinese ownership. Frankly, this car has supposed me in a few unexpected areas. Max Landi from The Drive Guyde finds out why!

Hey Max, this is one manufacturer I thought I would never take a second look at. How ever I am smitten with the latest from Volvo and I am so happy that the new Owners of Volvo are letting them take the car where it needs to go to be competitive. Now I think it’s one of the best looking vehicles inside, and out and you bring us the performance, and handling part to better educate us to make that informative decisions. Cheers

Great review Max - the S60 looks fabulous. You asked recently which I would prefer the V60 or V60 CC. For ultimate classiness I would go for the V60 but in the red of the S60 tested. That would be stunning. :-)

soulside Thanks got the info. I circled my dealers lot this weekend and only saw a couple of 18’s. I figured they just haven’t been released yet.

I wish manufacturers would configure the manual stick mode with push up for down shift and pull down for up shift.

It’s always weird when you first step into a car and have to concentrate on what not to do. But after a few days, you’ll quickly adapt

@@maxlandireviews Mine has a "wrong way round" manual mode and I still have to think how to use it. I'm so used to the sporty "right way".

yes, i think the reporter got it wrong. the last vehicle of the decade to get the new styling will be the v40, while starting at the beginning of the next decade, volvo will release the first generation s40

I would end up with the BMW for its power and solidity. I really like the Volvo, it’s Bowers/Wilkins system is one of my favourite systems in cars today

I love the headlights, but do not like the Volvo emblem on the grill. It's the slanted chrome line that bothers me. Get rid of the slant or the entire chrome line and I might like it.

China pumped lots on money into Volvo, Sweden still controls the design/build......trust me, the phone you carry or the laptop/tablet/PC you used to make that comment has Chinese parts in it

The Chinese don't make this car .. Volvo is just owned by a Chinese company now, but almost every single Volvo is still made in Sweden and this S60 is now made in the South Carolina plant in the U.S.
