You deserve an upgrade to an Okuma Longitude from that FT.

Sounds good about the rod! If someone sends me one I'll give it a try.

I would like to see the reel that holds that mile of line to make that super cast ;-) Must have wheels under it...

That's in virtual superline miles. ;-)

Hi, do you think an 11ft would get tiring for surf casting all day? or should i go for a 10ft? thanks i'll be pairing with a SaltX 6K

I find the length of the rod is not the issue. It's about weight and how springy the rod is. Sometimes that spring is just the tip. Custom rods that are light weight and have a bend that can launch a bait 300 yds will not wear you out. This fiberglass rod is heavy, a bit stiff and tough as a Mack truck at $25.

I use a 14ft rod and seems ok for me, i paired it up with an Okuma Safina Noir SFR-80 Fixed spool however will upgrade to a 13ft Zziplex Primo Synchro with a PENN 525 Mag soon

how do you like that daiwa rod? thinking of purchasing one myself.

It's very high quality for the money! The only drawback is the wieght. It will wear you out if you are casting lures. Would be good for bait, trolling or pier.

7 foot would be about a minimum length to cast OK. A light wieght braided or slick line is required.

No way 1 mile

And certainly not 2 miles. More like 400 feet as configured. 😆
