I just finished watching your video. You have given me a couple of ideas on how to improve my sound on my 2017 Chieftain Limited. Removing the casting flanges will definitely reduce unwanted harmonics. Plus it allows for the use of a deeper speaker. Unfortunately my bike has the 5-1/4" speakers, so my bass is already less than what a 6.5" can produce. I'd like to add a couple of tips for you that are used in car audio, which I have in my Chieftain. One; use Dynamat strips. It reduces/eliminates the vibrations that is associated with woofer cone excursion. It comes in a 1.5" x 30 foot roll, so there's plenty for both fairing and saddlebags. Two; use Polyfill. The use of a good polyfill will reduce the unwanted resonance, or "hollowness" that is associated with plastic enclosures. Thanks for the video!

Another thing you can use to fill the hole is . 3m plastic rapid plastic repair. Yes you have to pu chase the special gun and tips but it sets super quick and works very well since it auto mixes as you dispense it.

Are you talking about panel bond? If so I already have that with the gun haha. Will have to try it out next time

@@DavidsonAudio yes sir that gun. But not the pane bond. That's the blackstuff. I'm talking about 3M 04247. Super fast plastic repair. It's like a cream white color.🤙🏽

Can you list what tools you utilized, I thinking about doing this, I have some PRV 6MR500CF-ND-4 midrange, hoping that I can get them in there because of the huge magnet. Also what speakers did you use?

If you watch the video I explain the tools I use and the complete process. I have put the prv 6mr500-nd4 in the fairing using this process and no spacer so you will be fine following this video and installing your speakers. In this video I installed the cicada audio ch65.2 speakers in the fairing.
