Kirb's a good coach but honestly his thinking is really two-dimensional. Like, he should have stuck to the run in the 3rd quarter, y'all were gashing Bama up the middle all through the first half. I said after halftime started, man if they stick to that run this is going to be like vs. Ole Miss all over again...but instead he leaned on that QB and the guy didn't hold.
I have a feeling that Florida is gonna beat Georgia this year. I'm thinking the SEC Championship game will be Florida & Bama...I may be wrong...just a STRONG feeling. Roll Tide Roll Much love from Mobile Alabama.
@@randymiller3949 the problem with Florida is they don't have the dudes on Defense that bama does. Bama played 1 bad defensive game but still has the dudes to play smash mouth. I havn't seen that from Florida much this year. although I will say if they lean on stets and his poor decision making that he had in this game there is a good chance we see a similar story unfold.
A great win for Alabama. Despite all the distractions of the week with Coach Saban's false positive COVID diagnosis, they managed to score a 17 point win over one of the best teams in the country. Georgia can't feel that they played to the best of their ability in that second half, the defense still has a lot of improving to do, and it's impossible to predict what will happen with COVID moving forward. But this win demonstrated a lot of character.
Defense got a lot better. That interception in the 1st quarter was keen. I mean, ours. Not the one we allegedly threw. That was a trap against the turf, IDK why the refs couldn't see that.
@@Infamous41 actually no I was not because I knew your QB would blow it in the 2nd half. I was however frustrated by our inability to stop the Run but I assure you I was never worried about losing to UGA.
Since they switched to the LED lighting it looks that way. They put out more light so they don’t have as many of them. Otherwise we’d all go blind (sarcasm but it would be crazy bright)
Well offenses have gotten a lot better but your not wrong. Fortunately we easily get the best edge rushers signed and Saban can still sign 5 stars CB/safeties while coaching ‘em up. As bad as it looked at times this past season the pass defense finished #2 in the SEC only behind A&M. Even UGA gave up like 50 yards shy of 1k passing yards in a two game span when playing LSU then Ohio St. Kirby learned a lot from Saban but being able to coach up a secondary wasn’t one of them.
I'm still not sold on our defense. We'll see if they can build on their 2nd half performance this week of practice or will they lolly gag around? Georgia's offense isn't on par with their defense yet. Got me wondering what kind of numbers Trevor Lawrence would have put up with 40 passing attempts against us (404 yds 5 tds on 32 att vs. Tech. All in the first half. Crazy.)? And yes, I'm drinking Clemson's cool-aid after seeing what they did Tech. Tech may have to move to DII after that one. Looks like our offense will just have to keep it's foot on the gas. While the defense figures out when they want to be an Alabama defense.
@@bobwhite5440 hell that's all clempson plays. Until they get to the playoffs. That's the reason they get there every year. All cupcakes on their damn schedule.
Bama won the NC this year and Clemson got a bushwhacking from the team we bushwhacked. Clemson is hardly even relevant anymore. Luckily for them they’re changing to a 12 team playoff as Clemson’s recruiting isn’t bad but it’s dropped off big time. I think only 5 top100 recruits in the ‘22 class and 4/5 in the ‘23 class. Bama has signed 30 in that same span. Clemson has been booted from the elite club.
They were NEVER going to beat this Tide team, not with Bennett. You have to have someone that can match points, and you're not matching Mac Jones and company.
this game was actually closer than the score indicated. Alabama still has issues on defense but they can generate pressure and when that happens bad play from the quarterback can be the result. But if they face a QB that can handle this pressure there are plays to be had. Also if you play clean and don't turn the ball over they aren't stopping anyone consistently. Great win but more work to be done to get to where they want to be.
That’s because Monken’s offense were mediocre until the most random thing ever happened and UGA actually had an elite offense for the 1st time under Coach Smart for the ‘22-‘23 season, despite only having an elite o-line, TEs, and a cocky 25 y/o QB. Thank god Mike Bobo is the OC now.
I have a STRONG feeling that Florida is gonna beat Georgia this year. I think that the SEC Championship Game is gonna be Florida & Bama...I may be wrong...we'll see. Roll Tide Much love from Mobile Alabama.
A good offense is the best defense. The offense capitalized on turnovers from Stetson Bennett's mistakes. If the offense has several bad drives in a row against an elite team we probably won't win.
Yep we saw that last week against Ole Miss.. we were literally going score for score with them that it felt like whoever had the ball last was going to win.. I know Georgia’s passing game isn’t the best but they do have a couple of 5 star running backs and a very talented offensive line and we did pretty good at defending the run
