Opening stat comparing number of 400 yard games in a season. Mac Jones had 5 compared to Burrows 4 and he did it in 2 less games. Mac's 2020 season is criminally underrated.
@@gerongill9703 Joe Burrow 2019 per game: 378 yards, 35.1 attempts, 4 TDs, 0.4 INTs, 76.3 completion % (third best all time), 202.0 rating (second best all time) Mac Jones 2020 per game: 346 yards, 30.9 attempts, 3.15 TDs, 0.3 INTs, 77.4 completion % (best all time), 203.1 rating (best all time) If Mac attempted as many passes as Joe Burrow, he'd have 5,899 yards, 54 TDs, 5 INTs compared to 5,671 yards, 60 TDs, 6 INTs for Burrow. I didn't say he was better, just that his season was severely underrated. Plus, Mac played an all SEC schedule while Burrow got to pad stats against Georgia Southern, Northwestern state and Utah state.
@@matthewbrown8634 I was thinking the same thing lol I’m 34 and I can’t remember when MS state was anything close to a top team. I mean no offense they’ve had some good teams, but nowhere near the caliber of Alabama.
Although they dominated throughout the season, they were a much better team vs Ohio state than they were at mid-season. The additional five games worth of improvements were insurmountable.
I include punts when they're relevant to the game, meaning when they were long, shanked, blocked, run back, downed near the goal line, etc. I don't include the regular 40 yard punts by the same logic that I don't include a 4 yard run - it's just an average play.
