Update: 0:40 Someone has kindly informed me about a mistake with the thickness of the laptop. It is 2.29cm/0.9" thick not 2.9cm/1.14". Apologies about the mistake and confusion! Also, this is where I bought the laptop for those wondering (x-kom): bit.ly/2ANPqIZ
Please help which one is better OMEN 2020 ryzen 7 rtx 2060 or HELIOS 300 2020 i7 rtx 2060. Im planning to buy helios 300 i7 10th gen rtx2060 , cuz Im not into ryzen chipsets and i dont want to risk. And which of the has better cooling system?
Damn I'm not gonna lie, hands down one of the very few best laptop reviews I've ever seen. On point explanations and the best editing I've ever seen on a laptop review. Earned a sub, see you in the big leagues soon, cheers!
Once again, thank you very much for this beautiful review. You're one of very few RU-vid Tech reviewers that talk about the port details, not only stopping at USB Type-A or Type-C, but also mentioning which USB standard it supports, which is very important IMO. As an improvement area for your next laptop review, it would be even better if you specify/type the maximum speed of the USB port, so it would be USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps), USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps). This is crucial since some laptops, like the 2020 Razer Blade 15 & Razer Blade Pro 17, support USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps), so mentioning the speed would make it much easier for the average user, who's understandably confused by the USB naming debacle, to understand the maximum speed supported. It would become even more important soon once the USB Type-C ports start supporting USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gbps), USB4 20 Gbps, USB4 40 Gbps, not to mention the two different Thunderbolt versions, 3 & 4, at 40 Gbps, that may or may not be supported by the Type-C port. I would also do the same for the Ethernet Port, HDMI & Mini DisplayPort. I'd type the version, in this case Gigabit Ethernet (Killer Ethernet E2600), HDMI 2.0b, & Mini DP 1.4. This will become crucial soon since some laptops now support 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports, and HDMI 2.1 & Mini DP 2.0 are just around the corner. Thanks again!
Very nice editing once again! Use of b-roll and additional info snippets are super well-done; transitions are well-timed, graphics are clean and really nice to look at, you clearly know how to shoot and edit a video. Very nice to see some detailed charts/numbers mixed in as well, you did a great job squeezing useful info into such a short video without being overwhelming. These reviews are very impressive, especially for the size of your channel; I'm not sure if you're planning to make laptop reviews a recurring thing for this channel (I know purchasing the hardware can get expensive fast) or pursue a job in editing this type of stuff, or are just doing it for fun on the side, but you have some serious talent, and if you enjoy this stuff, I hope you stick with it.
Thank you so much for your extensive comment! Really appreciate the details you’ve noticed! I really enjoy making these reviews because I get to be as creative as I can, but unfortunately as you rightly point out these reviews becomes expensive very quickly, so I have to be quite selective in terms of which products I can review. But either way, I’ll definitely try to keep going!
Really appricate the extra effort done on the editing and visual effects mate! I love the part where you made the screen transparent? Do you use After effects?
What a fantastic review, man! Incredible editing skills! I absolutely loved the effects & transitions you used! Subscribed already! Keep up the great work! Thank you.
This man needs more followers, I think I’ll stick with my 2019 acer predator helios 300 but this was a great review for anyone looking to buy a gaming laptop
OK. This is by far the best review I have ever seen. The editing , content, etc..such effort! You just got a new subscriber! P/S: Can you do a review for Lenovo Legion 5/5i?
Dude, that see-through effect is amazing! Loved the video. I was thinking of buying this one but with the new cards Nvidia released I'll wait for an update
Best review and fantastic sound quality, the overall experience for viewers is awesome. You made a video like a person who has 1 million subs, you deserve more subs for sure.
you really put a ot of effort to your videos. Your editing is good, your background music volume is good and have a perfect laptop reveiw that i can understand. Thankyou, giving a sub from my heart.
just 2.16k subs ? wtf myan. this guy deserves more subs, The video content and quality is awsome man, Loved your work, and you got a new sub, keep going brother .. peace
Interesting review as this is the first time i see a reviewer 'dismiss' a laptop by highlighting all the cons first before going into the actual review. in the end it was a balance review and well done !
Bro this review is on POINT ! Amazing review , great quality camera shots and amazing editing. WOW! I am dropping a sub and waiting on more reviews from you!
Great review! I’m currently looking for a new laptop and the Acer Predator is at the top of my list. The 2019 seems really good at just under $1200 but I might wait for the new version to release to compare. Also how much did this version cost? I can’t find the listing on Amazon.
Thank you! I bought this laptop from x-kom which converted is roughly $2050 including taxes. And I agree that if the 2019 is listed below $1200, it’s really worth considering! As far as I know, not that much has changed in the 2020 version.
I'm planning to add a TeamGroup 8gb 2400mhz ram which my friend gave me on this modal. Can it be compatible enough or should I go for a 2666mhz instead?
Despite the review, I subscribed ur channel on your editing skills. All the people can see how much efforts u put on this video. I ordered 2060 version this week. Can't wait to test it soon.
One of the best review bro...you deserve much more subs...❤️❤️❤️ i just wanted to know how is the battery backup after 1 year of normal use and gaming. because my predator laptop is literally sucks now... hardly 30 mins gaming, 1 hour video editing and 2 hr 30 mins of youtube streaming and similar on my research and study... please answer is this is normal or not.👍
Perhaps my Acer Predator is a year newer than this one. My experience is a lot more positive than your review suggests it might be. I have the 165 HTZ screen and I love it. When I got mine, I upgraded my RAM to 32 GB, added a 2nd M2 drive, (did you mention there is a slot for one?) and I added a 2 TB HDD (soon to be SSD) for secondary storage. To wrap it up; I have no issues with the build quality or the fan noise. But I will admit that the speakers are weak. I use headphones or a Bluetooth external speaker. All in all, I am crazy about mine. Cheers. Well done. 👍
Yes the one I tested did squeak when opening and closing. I didn't notice any display flexing under normal usage. I guess the metal top panel helps reinforce that! =)
The most different review i have ever seen, amazing editing and on the point review. Also review Dell Alienware M15 & M17 if possible, also the Area 51M😅😅
I would love to see thermal testing with different stress tests as well as by running famous AAA titles. Please make a video for it. Great review overall with one of the best editing skills
he probably removed the upper layer of the video (cut it in half), then added another video on top of it as a mask and then reduced the transparency of the second video, you're welcome ;)
Repasted mine woth Noctua NTH1 and the temps deopped on the GPU by 6 degrees( 79-80c) but unfortunetly due to the low viscosity of nt h1, the paste got pumped out over thermal cycles from the CPU and temps hit 96c on the CPU. I've ordered kingpin kpx thermal paste which is very thick, hopefully it doesn't pump out
@@Dinara1up this helped me, when i played watch dogs 2, my CPU temperature was around 75-85c and GPU around 75c. And now with this the CPU temperature is just around 60-74c and gpu 50-65c community.acer com/en/discussion/comment/906330#Comment_906330
I don’t notice any screen tearing with the games I typically play (racing titles), and when I test FPS games, I didn’t notice any unpleasant either! So should be okay. 👌
I just ordered mine from amazon, when I get it what bloat ware programs should I remove immediately and what drivers would I need to update to their latest versions? I wanna make sure I don’t run into any problems so I’d rather get everything updated and ready at start.
OMG such a nice review. I love how you edited It. So smooth. I have a question. Does the fact that laptop is builded by aluminum could cause heat cramps while playing demanding games? Thanks in advance
Thank you! By heat cramps do you mean specific zones where heat builds up? If so, yes it does. I noticed especially on the top right part of the keyboard.
If it’s strictly gaming, I think the i5 should be fine. In my opinion, only if you would utilise the extra cores of the i7 for say in programming or video editing would the i7 be a more noticeable difference.
