2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio vs Alfa Romeo GTV // $100,000 Meets Priceless

Throttle House

50% 1

This is a 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio. It hits 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and as specced, costs a little over $100,000 CAD. It is a sight to behold and an incredible member of the Alfa Romeo line up. But if we remove 'current' from the equation, something very interesting enters the stage. And it's something that's made a great impact on Thomas. Watch and enjoy. SUBSCRIBE!
Special thanks to Dave for being a legend and Paulo and the fellas at Ricci Auto Collision for making something like this exist! www.riccicollision.com/

If you're seriously considering one, research well the dealer/shops in your area that can work on them. There are many *many* stories of terrible dealerships, terrible backlogs at garages, and very bad supply issues, and most of those stories coming from US owners.

Plus SUVs are taking away sedans in EU and all those stupidly big heavy things because impotent drivers needs to "sit high" to feel safe. Then, when it snows, you see them stuck at the 1st road bent because they didn't consider that 2 ton vehicle can't keep the road like a car half that weight. @Enidx10
@Enidx10 3 года назад
Discoloured Buttflaps Discoloured Buttflaps i agree. A manual gearbox only limits the performance of a modern sports car, but if you think pushing down a pedal, (something a 6 year old is capable of doing with no experience) is fun, then I think you’re better off driving around in a Tesla. Might as well let the car do the driving for you. But hey, at least you’re going fast because fast always equals fun /s
@richardcarter8801
@richardcarter8801 3 года назад
@@Ballacha Nobody cares how much it limits performance. It's not an intermission in torque delivery that is fun, it's the interaction with the gear linkage, the feel of the clutch pedal, blipping the throttle on downshifts, double-declutching to preserve the synchromesh etc. So much from which an automatic or even DSG transmission will distance you when driving. There is a fundamental difference between a sports car and a track car. The former exists only to be fun to drive. Only ignoramuses would buy one car over because it's a couple of tenths faster to 60, rather than for how it drives. For this reason, I doubt I would ever buy a sports car without a manual transmission. If you can't understand this then I doubt you've ever driven a manual yourself - probably just another ignorant American driving a Pontiac Aztek.

I leased a 2020 Guilia Ti Sport (fully spec'd) and have had it for 10 months now. The car I got had a little over 100 miles on it and has three very minor issues (steering wheel squeaked, speaker rattle with base, and one of the steering wheel keys was not backlit). I took it into the dealership and 2 hours later, all three issues were fixed. 10 months later, I've not had to go back (except for an oil change) and the car drives like a dream. NO issues at all. Also the character of the car changes over those first 1-1.5 K miles. Like the car I have now feels different than the brand new car I got (in a good way). It really feels like this car is alive .

17:46 "look at the wood" 18:06 intentionally directed. ... Alfa Romeo is like an Italian model wearing a red dress, and the boys can't control themselves. It had to be said.

@@dlevi67 Well, thats my experience. Worst oil leaks ever seen in my life were in german cars. Actually a Porchse Chayenne turbo. Well...all german cars have serious oil leaks. Never seen a Fiat breaking the timming belt at 20 and at 60k kms. I have no complaint of italian cars but I do have of germans cars. Money pitts german cars are. But all experiences are unique. I dont want german cars not even for free.

@@alexisamtosta You'd need to pay me a considerable amount of money to trust FIAT (and any other FIAT brands) again. As to your statements that "all German cars have serious oil leaks", it is provably false. I have driven well over 1,000,000 km over 30 years in Audi and BMW, and none of the cars has ever lost so much as a drop of oil (or for that matter broken a timing belt or chain).

When I was a kid, my grandpa got me really into cars. And he always said that Alfas were his favorite cars. Back then I didn't understand it, but as i grew older i found out that I am genuinely in love with old Italia cars. My daily is a 1960 Zastava 750, a car derived from the Fiat 600. And even with its measly 30hp, that car brings a smile to my face whenever i look at it, or whenever I drop a gear and put my foot down. There is something about these cars that just sings to me. Even the tiny 750cc carbureted engine, a damn econobox of its era, has that maddening intake noise, that whistle over the screaming engine, that redlines at 7500 rpm. If i didnt own my dream car already, I would want to own an old Giulia
