And so my model today is a car that I haven’t had in front of my lens yet; the new Audi SQ2.Same specs and engine as an S3, but with higher ground clearance and more of a crossover variant of it you could say. What’s very interesting. Is that this mini-SUV is faster then the new S6 TDI and S7 TDI, and has real exhaust pipes. Are you a fan of this vehicle?

It’s ridiculous how cars like the Audi S3/SQ2 are faster than the larger S models Audi offers. It really does show how badly Audi have F***** up the S division of its cars, what were they thinking!? Give us back the petrol S models in all countries!

I agree somewhat. On paper it looks like a real disappointment, but there's no denying the extra torque the new s7,s6 has. Plus a car like an s3 or sq2 may be faster to 60 on paper, but in the real world wouldn't stand a chance when comparing mid range, rolling starts to the s6,s7s

Yeah they are only faster to 0-60 because of lower weight, past that the diesel torque will fly off. Also idk why is everyone bitching about S6/S7 tdi, its for europe only, everyone else will get v6 tfsi. You can still get an RS6/RS7 with a petrol engine if thats what you like.

Great looking car. Perfect for colder climes and snowy roads. On my wish list. Do an APR Stage II and downpipe and this thing might just do 0-60 in under 4 seconds, like my 2018 S3.

Audi’s fucking up so bad... after 12 years of being my favorite brand, I’m really starting to lean towards BMW and MBZ more. Sorry Audi. Here’s why: • Replacing S6/S7 450 hp V8 to a DIESEL 350 HP V6. • Putting fake exhausts even on sport models like the SQ5 • Not offering the RS 4 and RS 6 in the USA. • Removing almost every V8 option possible. No V8 on the Q7 but the X5 and X7 50i have it. No V8 in the Audi A8, but the 750i and S560 all have it. No V8 in the Q8, and again, no V8 in the RS 4, RS 5, S6, S7, Q7, A8 Audi WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

I'm so over SUVs and CUVs already. It's a nice design, but I'm already over them all for the most part. I'd still prefer an S6 or S7 over an SQ2 even if they are both slower.

The only reason to buy the new S6/7 is to tune the engine, coz it has huge tuning capacities with hybrid turbos, the best selling performance car in Audi lineup is the RS3 coz it's a beast.

Faster to 60? Maybe. But with 2 extra cylinders, bigger displacement, way more torque, it's not really a comparison when it comes to real world driving. Yeah the s6/s7 may be heavier but it's a whole different driving experience in a v6 compared to a 4pot.

AUDIMAN 123 after 8 years of v6 i have 4 pot now and its faster, sounds better, feels better...but maybe they shoul have use s4 angine 2998cc v6 for this not so cheap car

What 4 cylinder? For the record I have the b9 a4 272 3.0tdi with a tune on. 320bhp and circa 700nm. It absolutely flies but there is some weight with the Quattro system. That's doing 60 in 4.4 seconds with launch control and just under 5 without. I've had many skirmishes with s3s and golf rs and while I admit they always have the edge on a drag, on a roll they don't stand a chance. Especially at motorway speeds where the v6 takes over with its extra torque and displacement. Either way they aren't even comparable. I'm just saying the feel of a bigger engine, especially the v6 diesels are completely different to a 4 pot. I would say the same if you tried to compare a v8 to a v6. No wonder so many people are annoyed at downsizing.

I've read that Audi is possibly working on it. If it's gonna be out this year or if it's actually coming out in general is yet to be officially confirmed though

Could be interesting. I have an RS3 Saloon now and I love it. One of the bad things about it is the boot so an RSQ2 with more boot space and same engine would be great. I was thinking of getting a 2 door weekend car too.

This is what I like about German cars, you can get the smaller car AND a better faster engine. Every other car company only gives you the shit low powered engine on their smaller vehicles. I realize that smaller vehicles are good for economy minded people, but not everyone wants that. I don't need a big car, but I want better power. The S/RS, M, and AMG variants provides that option in smaller vehicles that practically no one else does in the automotive world.

It’s physics: SQ2 is lighter and powerful so S6 and S7 have a slower launch control. but at the mid range gear, the torque of S6 or S7 are better 🧐

Sounds horrible.. but does look quick. The S products used to be a proper middleground between standard A and RS - hints of RS in them. Now they are just standard A models with a bit of a quicker engine. I couldn't believe how standard looking the new S7 is. Even when I modeled one up with my usual colour (Sepang blue) and some gloss black audi alloys, it just looked standard. This + everything thats been said by other commenters re. plastic exhausts, lower performance diesels. Etc

Lol this is an S3 in SUV form. I migjt buy this actually. I like small and light cars. I hate heavy and torque heavy cars. They do not handle as well as little go karts. That is just me though....

Thats because this particular car is not equipped with the Virtual Cockpit. That's the biggest difference between a S3 pre-fl, and a fl. Still you get get a new S3 with a normal cockpit like this, since it's an option.

I saw that you photoshopped the tyres in order to make them look wider ;) Sneaky hehe If you compare 2:49 with the thumbnail you can clearly see on the thumbnail there's one more "line" of tyre.
