And so here is the new 2020 Audi S6. Right after our popular S7 Sportback and S6 Avant videos, this is the third S-model. And yes, the controversy is continuing right here. This is the European version, while the North America, Asia and Middle East will get the petrol 2.9 V6 BiTurbo from the RS4/5. Enjoy the details of the new sedan.

I love the cars design. One beautiful automobile. I just wish that they gave us in Europe an option to choose from both the TDI and TFSI. The RS4/5 engine fits this car perfectly.

Agreed. I have the SQ5 tfsi and I believe both this and the diesel are available in both breeds in Europe. Slightly confused as to why Audi haven't done the same with the S6. But then i would love to see the RS4 engine under the SQ5. Maybe we will if they ever get off there ass and bring the RSQ5 out.

I'll probably get a little emotional when the new RS6 arrives. Not because I'm sad, but because I have mixed feelings for it. When I see the current RS6 I feel a rush of happiness and emotions flow through my body, and I'm afraid that this won't happen with the new one...The current one has won it's place in my heart. And I'll never forget it.

Have a 2014 S7 and was placing an order for a 2020. Took away the V8 twin-turbo from the S6 and S7 for 2020. Looking at other manufacturers for the first time in over 14 years.

I am an Audi fan, but I cannot afford one. I am not talking about the S6 featured in this video: Even the A1 is impossible for me to buy as new and even as used. Also, I have a visual impairment, and therefore, even if I can afford one, I will not be able to drive it. That is how poor and sad I am. In the virtual world of gaming, such as in Gran Turismo Sport or in Forza Motorsport 7, I was able to buy and drive some Audis, and even Ferraris, McLarens, etc. And thanks to the PlayStation VR, and the Logitech G29 force feedback racing wheel, pedals, and shifter, the driving simulation experience today is much more immersive. But a game is a game and will never replace real life driving. So keep dreaming, Yusri.

Its not the diesel problem, it's the pathetic fact that an S6, not S-Line, comes with "only" 350 hp which could easily be named 60TDI or something like that, but for an S6 of the newest generation I expected at least 450 if not more hp to perfectly fill the gap between the RS6 which is coming out next and current top-verions of the A6. Diesels are mighty powerful, no questions. And selling it for such a ridiculous price where you have to pay a hell amount of cash for each little extra is just something I don't want to understand. Like, where is the fucking problem putting at least the engine of the SQ7 which comes with 435hp into the A6 and give it a fine software optimization so it can deliver a good performance. Not to forget those fake exhaust pipes which is a pure shame.

So how many of you, who saw this video, will go to a showroom and buy one of the S versions? The point is, that people who usually watch these videos don't buy these cars and there is no difference if it is diesel or petrol version. Of course it would be nice to have both version available and have a good feeling cause petrol is the only answer, but in my opinion, it makes more sense in diesel version for people buying these cars. But maybe I am wrong.

it would be better in a petrol version because it is supposed to be sporty, and in Europe diesel are getting banned ( will no longer be allowed in France, in Paris in 2025 and then in all the country, soon the same in Germany) and that not only the fact that it is a diesel, for me it's also because of the fake and ugly 3cm deep exhaust tips and ONLY 340hp while you can buy a normal version with a 340 petrol engine for 30k less and only 0.7 sec more for 0-100, while the concurrence is at least with +400 hp petrol and real exhaust tips

Congratulations then! Really glad to hear that and enjoy driving it. And I agree with both of you that there are few exceptions and fake exhaust tips and banning diesel cars is just stupid. Even though it is not as sporty as it is supposed to be comfy car in my opinion on long distances. And therefore if it is used for that, it is better to have consumption 8 litres versus 12 litres let's say on a highway. However, it was just my lamentation on people complaining about only diesel options in Europe.

@@prazskacvokarenska4382 yeah sure, but living in Europe in a country in which diesel are getting banned, and in a country in which a see quite a lot of S5 S6 S7 , I would bet my hand that they won't sell as many cars as before, if I had enough money, I would definitely not pay that much for a 340cv desk car that will be worth 0€ in 5 years, if it were 400 or 450 hp as before even with a diesel why not but I think it is not worth it. for the same price you got a E63, C43 (cheaper than a S5, with will be tdi) , car with much more power, cheaper, petrol, and cars that you could sell for 60-70% of their value in 5-7years, not 30-40%

Julien Thialon It is different from country to country. For example in my country ("eastern" Europe) the diesel versions usually keeps the value better than petrol versions. Despite what's happening in western countries and diesel hysteria. And basically, every new car loses automatically 20% of its value while leaving a showroom, even more if it's premium brand. So I understand that it might be a problem in some countries. But you never know what politicians will come up with next year..

For the 4G model, there was something exclusive about owning an S6. You got the S6 badging, not only outside but on the gear shifter, steering wheel, cockpit, brakes. You got a much different engine that you could not get in an S-Line A6. Real exhaust and unique features tetered to the S6/RS6. This is not the case anymore. This model doesn’t look anything different from the normal A6 S-Line. The A6 55 TFSI can outrun this engine as well since it’s now a diesel and had a 100hp downgrade from previous model. Audi has really damaged the S-badge with this one.

Kevin no doubt its an amazing engine, I dont know how it competes against the V6 tfsi that America is going to get tho. Also be aware that sound is generated by the speakers in the exhaust. Now I dont have a problem with that, I guess you could kinda compare it to girls with real tits and the ones with fakes, its both good and depends on what you prefere. Performance wise its got enough torque to rotate the earth, and as people said, has alot of tuning potential, guess we will have to see how the sales go.

Its called "active sound" without it the car would be quiet

@@henrickhansel BC of the emissions they can't put a loud exhaust under that thing. So they put speakers into the exhaust. Where's your problem? It would make absolutely no noise at all bc they wanted to create a comfort car and a sport car at the same time. If you go into comfort mode you can hear the noise that the diesel engine makes (nothing).
