I had a ton of fun this past year on the 2020 Beta 200rr. Such a great bike and even more fun to ride! If your thinking of buying a 200 go do it :) Hope you guys enjoyed this review of the Beta 200rr.
Dude, thanks for sharing your experience. I was considering an Xtrainer but you helped me with a choice and finally ordered a 200RR. Keep going and good luck
Working my way through your videos and enjoying them. I've just bought an old montesa 250 as a beginner bike as new ones have loads more power. It's a tad heavy but good fun.
@@MattSpears It was a tough decision,, really liked my 300s. I am short, and really like the lower seat height, and light weight of the 200. I also believe it is making me a better rider due to clutch control and needing to be in the proper gear. This bike is a ton of fun to ride, and with a little finesse will take me anywhere my 300 would go. Very happy with this purchase.
Awesome video man, I wish you'd upload more often, and could you please do a video about hillclimbs? Specifically how to get through climbs where it gets vertical at the end like you're facing a wall
First off, love your videos! You do a great job and your honesty is always on point. Curious on how heavy you are? Did you have the suspension done to reflex your weight? Appreciate the feedback.
Thank you for the kind words! The only thing I ever did to the suspension was clickers. I’m very fortunate because I weigh about 155-160 and I’ve never needed my stuff valved
This video is a couple years old at this point, but just a comment about the top overhaul time. It's pretty awesome that you've got that many hours without trouble! As of 3/22 I'm only at 40 hours on the same bike. I'll probably do the piston at 100 hrs. The risk is that the engine will be running fine but the ring is getting thinner over time. At some point if allowed to continue it will break or snag on the exhaust port and will trash your cylinder. Here in California we're going to have to make our 2 strokes last from now on
Totally get that. I just did a top end in my sherco 300 at 180 hours and it had plenty of life. Changing the spark plug periodically makes more of a difference than piston/rings
Hey matt love the chanle!! Got a question for ya! Hope you'll get too it! So since the beginning of 2020 I've been riding a 2020 crf250f so just a air-cooled honda heavy as heck. I've put close too 400 hrs on it and I say I'm a pretty darn good hard enduro rider have riden most of the shops you've shown in this videos as I'm local too this area. And I guess my big question is should I buy a 200cc 2 stroke or a 300? I just don't want too get a 200 then want too upgrade too a 300 right away! Side note it was hilarious when I first rode one of the areas you always ride or rode. I was like huh I recognise a lot of this stuff came home jumped on here and figured out it was from you lol small world
Thats great info! As you predicted i love my 2021 200RR. Just disapointed with fuel consumption. Did you change de needle and jets? Otherwise, i would buy it again! Great riding!👍
I experienced access fuel usage too. The solution for me was to loop the carb overflow tube and secure it with a zip tie. If you experience elevation change while riding carburetors tend to dump gas.
Matthew you got the best video fucking awesome dude I have 300 race edition and 250 RR and I’m a beginner so thanks for the info all of my bike is a 2021 keep riding brother
Hey Matt, do you feel the weight difference between the Beta 200 and the Sherco 250? Could you ride the 200 everywhere the 250 would go, with additional clutch work?
I really like my 150XCW but keeping my eye out for a good deal on a 200RR. There aren't many comparison reviews on youtube for the 150 vs the 200. Have you ever ridden a 150XCW in order to be able to compare to the 200RR?
@@MattSpears Italy, unfortunately here spaces are a bit narrower in general, we don't have vast parks or woods like you Also riding dirt bikes is often illegal in many areas so yeah it sucks 😕 I wish one day I can send my beta 300 in america and have some good times trail riding
Where i live its either super rocky or sandy but hey theres a beach and a farm near and the farms full of cow poop And its just like mud just stinky Yeah each time a enter that property the farmers start chasing me and shouting at me and the boys ans thats more fun until they call the cops
@Matt Spears thanks for the quick reply Matt! I loved the 200's of years past but went to 250's when I returned to riding/racing now I'm wanting to relax and ride fast.
