Whenever I read mossey is reviewing I get a tingle of excitement in anticipation to watch. Love the channel, proper feedback and a wide range of bikes for the poorer rider who are not track day stars but ride fo the love of it, but a nice insight to different things as well. Well done keep it up. Chemistry between u all is great. My favourite review on the channel is thruxton r in portugal

Great review again by Mossy. Not sure if this is how you rode them but the XR in the video was running Michelin Road 5's. That would explain a different and perhaps more secure feel, especially in damp conditions.

All the fancy electronic suspension settings are only for the rear. But really liked the lean angle meter on the dash

I happy to see a positive review for the XR. Most of the American reviewers seem to prefer the R due to its lower cost, I think the R looks like an unfinished bike. The XR looks great IMO and if I were into BMWs I'd probably have one.

It's funny how motorcycle evolution is happening. A decade ago they were building bigger and bigger bikes. The 1441cc Sportsbike in ZX14R and midsize bikes were considered subpar. Now the trend is going back to midsize Sportsbike, Sports tourer and Adventure bikes. The success of MT09, Tiger 800, and the Tracer. Good times

I like the XR. Always been a comfy fast bike. Ride that thing across continents fast and in comfort. I would love one. I don't fancy another BMW PCP finance deal though. Been there done that. So can't afford one, but great bike anyway.

Would love to go riding some good roads with mossy then pitch up at a boozer for the evening and sink some beers,top bloke👌👍

I had the F800R. I loved that bike, now have s1000r. I rode the F800R much more probably because it easier to ride. I rode that thing in that snow on cobbles LOL.

i'm so confused because BMW list the F900XR as an ADV bike, but it seems more like a sport tourer? i have a Gen1 FZ1 and am contemplating upgrading for the updated tech and modernity.

Feels like BMW could have done more to differentiate between the models? Maybe make the naked a bit sharper, get a piece of that KTM 890 super duke market? I think the 890 Super Duke will kick its ass up down and sideways, but some people don't like orange, and they do like the BMW marque and dealer network.

I can't see why euro 5 bikes don't all come with decel throttle bypass like the racing bikes have had for a while, all these bikes have an electronic throttle or at least a secondary for idle control already.

I'm sure the spring travel between the two bikes which is different, resulting in spring rates and ergonomics difference in the two bikes?Your comments?thks again,cheers.I think that XR will sell plenty.

Please figure out a way to get clean audio if you ever do a video chat like that.. Mossy's audio was pretty bad when played on your computer speakers.

Was about to buy an F900R, but then read that the engine is made in China instead of Germany and on the cheap... accurate? For BMW I'd expect German quality, even though it's more of a budget bike.

I'm 52 and have a 2012 F800R...same color red/silver. Is it an old mans bike....it makes a bloody good one, if your looking to get back in I would highly recommend a look at the 900. I don't know what the gearing on the new one is but the engine braking on the 800 is so good you can leave it in 3rd all day. My biggest expense is tires I get around 3k out of the back (Pilot power RS} I live in the NC/TN mtns and I can keep up with speed triples, granted I have home track advantage but the thing is a blast and when you park up it gets plenty of looks even with the messed up headlights.

Yamaha MT-09 SP or F900R? How to they compare? I like the tech on the BMW but adding it makes the bike quite expensive. On the other hand there's the possibility to get a second hand Yamaha for 7500EUR.
