Tires aren’t slippery if it’s New you just need to lean it smoothly and don’t be aggressive at the gas. And warming up tires on a bike isn’t done nie cornering it’s made with hard short accelerations followed by mid hard brake phase also use rear brake gently... at this speed you are cruisen tires will be just hand warm. If you have 25-30°c in the air it actually is warmed up by this procedural in minutes.. Just a tip for you as a new boy on the bike as you switched from filming to riding. Good luck.

and a side note, as a supplement on Nico:... the speeds you are driving, you don t need warmed up tires. the S22's warm up themselves by normal street use. (I'm guessing they use S22's now, 'cause my 2018 had S20's)

Feel asleep and my guy didn’t even use the quick shifter/blipper, check out cruise control, different engine and suspension modes...

Wow you used clutch all true😂 the bike has quick shifter and autobleeper as well. The smoothest quickshifter and autobleeper ever!!

You're 6'8 🙌🏽🥳🥳 you should try a sport tourer maybe Yamaha tracer (ride it on b mode) or BMW s1000xr (ride it on rain mode) it would be very comfy for you

If anything, this video shows that you can still ride a BMW S1000R slow if you want it...

Yamaha MT-10 with the optional comfort seat is supposedly a good fit for us taller riders. Also the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE.

Hi Lanky, How were the ergos for you given your height? I’m 6’6 and this is one of the bikes on my list to check out that are supposed to “decent” fit for taller riders looking in the “sport” segment of bikes. Thanks!

maybe try like a ktm 390 duke or something more to your skill level. I apreiciate the review but it was hard to watch you try and ride a bike of that caliber

Appreciate the honest feedback. This bike definitely put me out of my comfort zone. Glad I tried it but completely agree 👍

@@nickvandervegt It's a struggle; being 6 foot and a whole lot of inches but not skilled or confident enough to grab a bike which fits(usually big, powerfull bikes). I once was looking to rent for a weekend, first up: a duke 690... nope. If I would run into a wall, my knees would hit first. then a 2003-ish 990 superduke... yep, more like it. spend the rest of the weekend on 1,5 wheels though and not always voluntary. I also remember test riding a GSXR 1000 K1. Decent fit, but a simple 60 MPH overtake turned into a 100MPH overtake without noticing. All in the first year of owning a license... Ended up on a 2001 CBR 600 FS, still looks like a minibike between my legs, but I don't care. perfect power/ride-ability/ergonomics. And affordable. Really appreciate the content Nick, especially from a tall man point of view. 6'7" over here enjoying the high-quality content! edit: sorry for the paragraph

totally agree with you, id rather see small bike reviews with a comfy nick than liter bikes where you can just see how tense the rider is
@Stananalol
@Stananalol 4 года назад
@@nickvandervegt Don't be too hard on yourself Nick. You were also in the fastest most agressive/responsive mode. Dynamic Pro! Should have started in something like Road Mode, and the bike would have behaved differently! PS: You make awesome videos, you have a lot of talent!
@erdsza89
@erdsza89 4 года назад
If you already have the in with BMW maybe do the G310 and the baby GS. Great quality video as always but agree with the others, that’s a lot of bike for a relatively new rider.

That’s one old fashioned dash on a 2020 Bmw... I wish they would fit the new type from the F900 and 1000 XR on there. Other than that, very nice looking bike! Also, good review!
@Stananalol
@Stananalol 4 года назад
The dash is the last thing that needs upgrading on this bike...
@SL538
@SL538 4 года назад
DavidR well there’s probably a lot more that needs updating (suspension?) but I think this dash is certainly a main point given it’s something to be looked at every single ride. The impression it gives me is that this bike is behind on the competition and I am not sure that’s justified considering the price tag.
@Stananalol
@Stananalol 4 года назад
@@SL538 Suspension in general isn't a problem, at least for street use. If your weight doesn't exceed suspension factory capabilities you're fine on the street. For track however it can be too soft, and the hydraulics may not work as you want as they're intended for street usage. The other problem with suspension is that the shock is good but not serviceable. Steering damper is crap/non adjustable/non serviceable. No adjustability of the clutch lever. Water pump prone to fail. Gas pump may be faulty from factory (the dealer won't know/tell/warn you) resulting in the famous "Hot start issue". Coolant expansion tank is poorly designed. Microswitches under the clutch lever are extremely fragile . It's a high end bike and SHOULD come already with full LED lighting from factory, but it doesn't! So, as you can see, the dash is the last thing that needs improving, also because it provides clear and easy to see information. It's just a matter of having a tablet in front of you and you liking that or not. Me personally I don't care for screens like that. This one is also fairly expensive to replace even though is dated. Don't even want to know the price of those fancy TFTs in case it needs replacing! Other than that, this bike is incredible, and for sure will give any other hypernaked a run for it's money! Just my 2 cents

@@Stananalol as an owner of a new bought 2018, I follow you with the levers... straight away I put HP4's on the bike. Best money you 'll spend on it! The rest of your comments: for now, never had any problems with any of those. But I ride it primarily on the street. Steerdamping works fine even at max speeds. I think if you compare it to a race bike on track, you ve got a point. Compare it with a bike you can compare it with, like a ducati monster or a MT10, you ll find it is beter then most.

He doesn't seem to know the bike is limited to 7000rpm for the first 600 miles. This bike can't even be properly reviewed until you see what happens over 7,000. Please do not pay attention to this review if you are thinking of buying one. Useless.
