Time for the viewers to decide. Which car's launch were you most impressed with and why? Episode 2 coming very very soon, so hit that notification bell.
It was the NSX for me, rarity and ease of maintenance. My 20' NSX with SOS downpipes and JB4 tuning went 10:46 at 133.46 mph. The handling is amazing with it pulling through turns. Pick whatever you like but I love my choice!
That was fun to watch guys. But the young girl was the highlight, her reaction was real. Her smile and laughter made the video. Thanks I have a C8 on order.
The NSX is all-wheel-drive hybrid electric, it will win all day every day. Let’s see the story against the C8 E-Ray that will mimic the front electric rear engine NSX, and of course the C8 Zora that’s gonna be a flat-plane crank turbo charged hybrid ... whole other level with that one!
We know with AWD and higher HP, that the the NSX is faster, and the AWD will give it an advantage at the track. So, I think it is cool that you guys could enjoy each others ride and take this friendly challenge. Have fun and be safe! Regarding which is more impressive, all aspects considered, the C8 because it is the low-end of the Corvette line, at half the price of the NSX. It definitely wins the best bang for the buck. I enjoy that the entry level C8 is even in the same ballpark as many of the high end cars and I look forward to these head-to-head challenges when the Z06 and ZR1 are released. We live in a great time for performance car enthusiasts.
Fair comment. Donavan and his girlfriend actually gave the title to the NSX that day though because of the smoothness of the launch. I like how quick you can engage LC in the NSX. My BMW takes 4 or 5 steps to engage it which deters me from even wanting to do it. Why can't car manufacturers make it simpler like the NSX.
nsx all day.. new subscriber like your content and enjoy the family time..I got to drive the nsx last year when I was in Vegas.. unfortunately can't afford.. drive a accord v6 6 speed. planning on getting the tlx type s
This is what I've been waiting for. I think there's only one other video comparing these two cars on youtube so far and these are the only two that I'm considering. I'm going to purchase one in the next 2-3 months and am just torn. Reliability and quality has to go to nsx but would you say you were thrilled in the corvette too?
But fun fact, NSX can run 0-60 below 3.0 seconds so it really bothered me so C8 won because of the interior, my answer is pretty wierd right, hahahaha!
I was hoping to see the head to head drag race as no one has done that, you could have been the first! So maybe real soon you will have that race! I have a 2018 NSX stock , email me as I have some things I would like to discuss. The video was still good. Thanks
But the great thing about that road was how secluded it is in addition to those nice curves. The whole time we were there I think only 3 cars came down that road which was nice.
Enjoyed this video! The NSX appeared to 60 ft strong. Was it faster than the Vette? I can rationalize that those electric motors offer a traction advantage but the C8 seems geared to maximize the power & torque available. So which one is the stoplight winner.
Great video. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm looking to buy a 2016 McLaren 570S or a 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus in 4 months and I need to decide. Now I've driven the 720S (same engine just less power in the 570S) and the 2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus. The McLaren has the cool/exotic factor but the R8s V10 is so good, you can feel it through your entire body. Plus it it beats the McLaren in the quarter. Not sure which one I should pick. Car guy to car guy, what're your thoughts?
I would actually get the V10 Plus, mainly because historically it has had better reliability than McLarens. Yes the McLaren has the cool doors and the 720s is amazing looking. Either way they both will bring major enjoyment so you can't go wrong. Which one are you leaning towards?
First, congrats on your success to be in that market...second.......The 720S has got to be the most beautiful car I have ever seen in Orange metallic with black......I would probably buy that thing if it came with 100hp just to look at it lol.
Awesome video. I want to love the vette but gm cars have always felt they lacked refinement. Love our nsxs and their sounds and pops are one of my favorite parts.
I think to get the best 0 to 60 is to put in track mode and in race setting? so TC and stability off? but any idea if car might launch and go side way and gets dangerous since stability is off or will it go straight since you are going straight?
If the C8 was less than 500 miles, you guys are not getting the full power for there is a break in period with the C8 of 500 Miles. Hence, I think the 3.5 0-60. However, I am curious what will be you 0-60 time after breakin and with 93 Oct gas. I have yet met a person here in CA with 91 Oct gas to be under 3.0 with the C8.
C8 wins if we talking price and best bang for the buck. Can C8 be compared to NSX, no we talking electric motors, torque vectoring and a completely different technologies coupled with transmission and engines that ate very different. So straight line they behave one way and taking curves, they behave another way (torque vectoring;) so NSX very overpriced.
